How One Autograph Collection Hotel is Bringing Kentucky Culture to Life - AFAR

"An Autograph Collection boutique hotel opened in October 2019 on Louisville’s historic Whiskey Row, it blends preserved 1860s architecture — including the original barrel‑house façade for J.T.S. Brown and Sons — with contemporary, design-forward interiors. Clean lines, artwork, warm wood tones, black metal and copper accents, and a pre‑Prohibition globe chandelier create a modern yet historically rooted atmosphere that glows in the morning light. The property emphasizes bourbon-focused, personalized service: Connoisseur Suites can summon a Bourbon Ambassador with a private bourbon cart offering single‑barrel pours and signature Old Fashioneds, and guests are invited each night to a commemorative toast at 7:33 (19:33) marking the repeal of Prohibition. Dining and drinking venues include an open‑air rooftop bar, a multi-level whiskey bar, and Repeal restaurant — Whiskey Row’s only oak‑fired steakhouse — where an oak‑fired grill stoked with reclaimed American oak barrels gives smoky, inventive flavors to dishes by Executive Chef Josh Carter, from American Wagyu steaks to diver scallops and oak‑fired heirloom carrots. Intimate, crafted spaces such as a 15‑person Barrel Room and a mezzanine above the restaurant reinforce the hotel’s storytelling ethos, delivering immersive, thoughtfully executed experiences that fuse past and present." - AFAR

Autograph Collection Hotels are Designed for the Destination - AFAR

"Located on Louisville’s historic Whiskey Row in the original 1860s-era barrel house for J.T.S. Brown and Sons, this property leans into bourbon heritage through design details like warm wood tones, black metal and copper fixtures while offering a stylish, luxurious stay. Staffed Bourbon Ambassadors can craft drinks from an in-room private bourbon cart (choose from 10 premium bourbons neat or one of four signature Old Fashioneds), and the hotel also bottles its own private single-barrel selections. The overall experience mixes historic architecture with curated, bourbon-forward service and modern comforts." - AFAR

Beautiful boutique style/feeling hotel. Staff is gracious and hospitable, rooms are well cared for and the beds are super comfortable. The restaurant on site, Repeal, is a must. The food is wonderful and the staff is fabulous. I do have to take a moment to give a special thanks to Douglas with valet for helping me navigate downtown Louisville. Google maps was failing me and Douglas helped me out and saved the day. Thank you Douglas!

Google
This was one of the best hotels we've stayed in in a while. The customer service was amazing, the Repeal restaurant downstairs was not only convenient but also delicious, and the hotel is right in the middle of so many great restaurants and bars and is right by the water. The room was nice and very clean. I wasn't a fan of the glass sliding door for the bathroom but other than that it was very modern and aesthetically pleasing. We chose to self park across the street since our truck is huge and we couldn't even fit it to drive up for valet, but there was always someone standing at the door ready to help anyone that drove up. The self park wasn't too expensive (around $30 a day) and was right in the middle of everything so it seemed safe and was a very short walk. It was also very close to many distilleries and even the ones further away didn't seem that far since they were mostly easy drives. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Google
The hotel's attention to detail and service during the event was truly exceptional, earning a five-star rating. Every member of the staff, from the valet parking team and front desk to the dining area and management, was wonderful and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this hotel for any events in the Louisville area.

Spent 4 days in Louisville on the Bourbon Trail. This was a great centrally located hotel - walking distance to everything. Clean, updated with friendly staff. Lyric at the front desk was amazing - warm welcome, update on room readiness and pointed out lots of places of interest. Remembered us and greeted us every morning. She is the perfect first impression and true to the hospitality spirit!

Google
The hotel was really nice, as was the hotel staff (from valet, to front desk, baggage and housekeeping). Our room was clean and had enough towels and a few amenities. The Nespresso didn't work, but not a big deal. We were disappointed we couldn't access the Bitters End rooftop bar due to a private event, and it was one of the reasons we booked the room. The nightly toast at 7:33 p.m. was a fun experience. It's a prime location, and we were able to easily walk or take a quick Uber to some really great distilleries. The music they play in the lobby is great!

Google
Great location in the middle of downtown with access to many attractions. Main St can get a bit noisy (Sun night), but this could have been because we were sandwiched between two popular festivals. Guest services was superlative all around, with a shout out to Joyce and Princess at the front desk. Room thermostat had difficulty staying at a set temperature, but amenities were good. Very comfortable!

Google
I hate to rate anything a 5 but this hotel has quickly become one of my all time favorites. If you're doing anything bourbon related in Louisville, this is the place. Walking distance to many distilleries or distillery showrooms and also close to many restaurants. Rooms are clean, modern and have tiny espresso machines. A/C works well and bed is super comfy. Love the music that plays everywhere in the hotel. Nice steakhouse right beside the hotel and a free fridge in the lobby. Staff is responsive (luggage rack in less than 5 min) and made my stay great. Pamela at the front desk and Doug, the valet made my day with their fun, friendly interactions. This hotel is great - A+

My husband and I spent a night here on our anniversary , and it was an amazing experience . We were greeted by name and were wished a Happy Anniversary upon entering . || Our room was so very cool and fit the industrial “masculine” vibe of Whiskey Row. We enjoyed dinner out at a near by restaurant ,and came back for a drink at the hotel bar; although, they were very busy with what seemed to be people who came from a wedding we were served quickly snd the bar staff were working their tails off to keep everyone happy. || We did enjoy a delicious brunch at the hotel restaurant before heading out. I highly reccomend the Crab Cake Benedict !||We had wonderful service, and were made to feel very special .

Yelp
This is a really nice hotel. It is a high-end place. I would not stay here if it were not work related. The rooms are very clean. Maintained every day, which is rare today. There are plenty of plugs and USB ports throughout the room. Everything is up to date. At 7:33 PM they have a whiskey event to celebrate the repeal of prohibition in the lobby. This includes a bourbon drink for anyone who wants it. There are many bars and restaurant in the area. The riverfront is just down the hill.

Yelp
When I was working in Louisville in 2019, the Hotel Distil was about to open. On Thursday, my wife and I were able to stay there for the first time. It's a luxury property on Whiskey Row. Its attention to detail and beautiful interior reminds me of the Omni Hotel, also downtown. My Bonvoy status was recognized at check-in and I received vouchers for breakfast. Unfortunately, no room upgrade. Our guest room was super comfortable, starting with the amazing bed. Loved the shower and the water pressure. Lots of neutral colors and leather accents everywhere. And I'm happy to report, no motion sensor in the room turning off the air condition when you sleep at night. I'm writing a separate review on the hotel's restaurant, Repeal, but it was amazing. I had three meals there and each only got better. As I was enjoying dinner, I was near the main entrance and watched guests arriving and departing. There was a cool vibe and energy in that space. It almost reminded me of being in Las Vegas. Obviously tourists love Louisville and its bourbon scene, and they also love staying at the Hotel Distil.

Yelp
Great location. Great service. Now I know what's up with nightly toast at 7:33 PM: The spot in which Repeal sits is where the family was operating when prohibition took everything away. Today, the restaurant honors the end of prohibition with its guests at 7:33 p.m. each night. "In military time, (that's) 1933 -- the year that prohibition (ended)," Saylor explained. The place feels brand new and everything about it worked well. Quiet rooms, good food at Repeal, easy check in, and online check out process that actually worked. The location is great too. Overall, a great option for staying in the downtown Louisville area.

Yelp
My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel during our visit to Louisville. The location on Whiskey Row in downtown Louisville was perfect, with easy access to many attractions. The staff was excellent, and check-in and check-out were seamless. We enjoyed dining at Repeal, the restaurant next door, which was a great convenience. My only regret is missing the nightly toast to the repeal of Prohibition--something I'll make sure to catch next time. Overall, a fantastic stay, and I'd definitely return!

Yelp
Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Disil. It's perfectly situated in downtown Louisville and right on the cities main Bourbon Street. The hotel bar is right when you walk in the door and always crowded which gives the hotel a really cool social aspect. I loved the ode to prohibition ending at 7:33 PM every night. What a cool way to bring the hotel guest together, and very on brand with this being in the heart of bourbon country. The rooms were very comfortable although the sink was in an odd spot in the bedroom. if I could design this hotel room, I would put the sink area in the bathroom, so if you're staying with another person, you can get ready in a separate area I also had to call down for a mini refrigerator because they are not included in the rooms. I really enjoyed the Nespresso coffee machine in the room and loved the gym area where there is a peloton! We definitely stay at this hotel again when coming to Louisville

Yelp
This hotel is located, right in the heart of Whiskey Rd and has a great bar in the hotel; or others that are great running the area. Hotel had an upscale contemporary feel. The overall service was excellent across the board. Had breakfast there one morning. All was done very well there. We'd stay here again all day long. We've had other friends stay at this place; they love it too!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent stay in downtown Louisville. Clean, modern, and convenient. There's a lively restaurant off the lobby and a nightly toast is made to the end of prohibition at precisely 7:33.

Yelp
Great hotel with welcoming staff! Rooms are very nice and are not too small. The toilet, shower and sink are all separate which is perfect when two people are getting ready. There are a few dining and beverage options within the hotel which is a convenient option to have. The bar at Repeal is very lively and great for a drink. The food did look amazing but we didn't have a chance to try it. Cleaning staff was great as well and before you check in you can indicate if you want daily turndown service or not. Decor is cool and so is the daily repeal toast at 7:33pm. The location is perfect for visitors. We walked to everything we did except for Churchill Downs. Overall I'd highly recommend Hotel Distil!

Yelp
The first Autograph of our week long adventure and can honestly say one of the best!!!!! $40 valet parking is worth it! The room was super clean, with all the proper bedding, AC worked immaculately, and the service from the employees EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL! We were greeted with a small bottle of wine, as they found out we had special means of traveling purposes:-) The location was also perfect! Check out Trolls Under the Bridge, along with grabbing a drink at the hotel bar- was so pleasant. Overall: This Autograph by Marriott puts the standards and expectations high, and did not disappoint! We cannot wait to return again!!

Yelp
We loved our stay here at Hotel Distil while visiting Louisville. We were here to do the Bourbon Trail for my husband's birthday and this hotel helped set the mood for the whole trip. Their decor has a more masculine tone using more dark browns and black as their color scheme. Absolutely loved the lighting choices used throughout the area. The staff here were friendly and helpful. We needed a crib for our toddler and they delivered this to our room as soon as it became available. Our room was very clean and nice. I really liked that you could seperate the bathroom area from the bedroom with a barn door. They had huge windows in the room to get lots of natural light if you want. One thing that I will note about our room is that it did not have a refigerator or a microwave. So think twice before deciding to bring any leftover back. This is probably to keep the rooms smelling nice. The whole hotel smelled amazing, like a sweet whiskey smell. The amenities are nice here too. Definitely a decent gym for a hotel! The repeal restaurant that is a part of the hotel is very nice as well. They are open for breakfast and open late if you want to stop in to get a drink. We ate dinner here too. It was awesome! I will spare the details for my review on Repeal. Tip: For parking there is a glass parking garage adjacent to the hotel this is where you can park. It is either $20 a day for regular parking or $40 for valet. You are able to leave as much as you like during the day and do not have to pay again for that day. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. The location is awesome, and it is just an enjoyable experience staying here!

Yelp
Stay here if you ever get the chance! Location is perfect for visiting a few distilleries or enjoying the bustling food scene in Louisville! They are pet friendly with a park nearby for dog walking!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel conveniently located in downtown Louisville in the Whiskey Row area. The hotel is modern, but has an old school look and charm to go along with the Prohibitin Era theme it employs. There is a nightly toast held in the lobby, which celebrates the end of Prohibition. The Repeal restaurant is excellent for breakfast and brunch. It is also regarded as the best steakhouse in town, but you have to make your reservations in advance, which I failed to do. I will make it a point to stay here again when I visit Louisville.

Yelp
Where do I start.... our stay at Hotel Distil was one of the best. The hotel is an absolute gem with so much history to tell. The hotel staff were not just friendly, polite and nice, but genuine people. To our surprise we were upgraded to a suite, which was very nice and spacious. We had the pleasure of dining at Repeal almost every day for either breakfast, lunch or dinner (highly recommend even if you don't stay here). The hotel is centrally located on Main street and walkable to several of the main attractions (Muhammad Ali Center, several distilleries, restaurants, Louisville Slugger Museum, etc). As part of the bourbon history theme, the Distil practices a Repeal Day celebration daily at 7:33 pm in the lobby, which is the time when written as 19:33, represents the year Prohibition ended. At check-in guests receive a "prescription card" for their drink to toast that important day in world history, with medicinal prescriptions having been the only legal way to procure alcohol in those dry days. Highly recommend making this your temporary home during your stay in Louisville!

Yelp
Usually this hotel is out of our price range when I'm in town, but as luck would have it the rates were a little lower than usual on my last visit to downtown Louisville and I got to check this out. The hotel is upscale but really leans into the identity of Louisville and bourbon country, as the name implies. There's a nightly bourbon toast in the lobby at 1933 (7:33pm) in honor of the repeal of prohibition in 1933, you can get plenty of bourbon-themed add-ons including a bourbon cart in your room or a bourbon barrel dog bed. Customer service is top notch, I was greeted promptly and sincerely, left my vehicle with the valet, and my room was perfect - clean with really great amenities. The room was supposed to have a refrigerator but didn't, I went to the front desk to ask if I could get one, and housekeeping almost beat me back to my room - I had a working refrigerator within minutes. I would absolutely stay here again - excellent experience all around and plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. This is a great little gem in the heart of downtown Louisville.

Yelp
We stayed there for work and how surprised was I on the last day of work after working 14 hours a day when I needed to pack to find out the house keeping throw away all my shoes bags!! After 4 days that they were there, when I had another bag the *same bag* with shoes still in it! When the bags were just next to my shoes not all over the room! I am very very upset and if you do choose to stay there be careful of your belongings because they might decide that it's trash! Their solution was to give me other bags that they had in the hotel that are not at all fitting to my needs! (The bags I got are very very big and heavy and definitely not for traveling:( I'm very disappointed and will not be back to this hotel.

Yelp
Have always wanted to go to Louisville and do the bourbon trail, and loved staying here for my first hotel. Located in the heart of downtown Louisville, right next door to the old Forester distillery and walking distance from plenty of dining and bars. Fairly small hotel, but decent size restaurant with great steaks and sleek bar. Front desk was quick and efficient, and the prohibition cocktail was solid (to celebrate end of prohibition). Rooms were decently sized and comfortable, could always be slightly larger but fine for a couple. Modern hotel, so furnishings were in good condition and comfortable. Luxurious bath products, and decent sized bath rounds things out. Didn't use many amenities so no comments there, but definitely a solid hotel I will come back to stay next time.

Yelp
Loved this hotel in the heart of Louisville. It was so easy to walk around and check out all of Whiskey Row. Our room was clean and comfortable and the hotel lobby had a nice ambiance with a conveniently located bar. I loved the fake facade in front of the hotel that added some character to the modern building. Also, big props to the front desk who helped me locate a few toiletries that I had forgotten to pack.

Yelp
Stayed there September 29- October 1. Beautiful end room and staff was great. One complaint they use third party for valet parking. The person taking/bringing car up stole my Iphone charger. The staff super good and gave me a new one. I was told a staff person for valet company would contact me but they never did.
google avatar

Terin K.

Yelp
The place is low key and beautiful. The room was spacious, clean and well designed. The huge shower was to die for. The room service was divine. The Burrata starter was perfectly balanced and I ate 3/4 of it when I was supposed to share. The French onion soup was some of the best I have ever had, and I have tried several. Not too salty and they definitely do not skimp on the cheese; the thick bread held up nicely. Wedge cut fries were yummy too. It was just all good. I'd go back for the shower alone but the whole experience was truly wonderful.

Yelp
Elegant atmosphere. Top notch service. Location is super convenient if you're in town for the typical tourist attractions... all are within walking distance.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Distil. The staff were all friendly and professional and the hotel itself is very clean kept and beautiful. In the hotel there is a restaurant that is a must for drinks and dinner which we went to a couple times during our stay. Great location and valet is available as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
An elegant hotel with specific attention to detail! I was impressed with the room, but the 5 stars are really attributed to the exceptional staff members! The dining room servers and the bar staff were outstanding! I want to give a special shout out to four amazing service personnel that deserve all the credit. They are Josh, Jacob, Jordan and Kate. Josh, Jacob and Kate were our wait staff at the dining room and the bar. They were such a pleasure to be around and greeted us each day of our 3-day stay. Jordan is the manager of the dining room and bar and has been with the hotel almost since it opened. The Distil is lucky to have her! She made a point to come over any time we were in the area to see if everything was to our liking. She and the rest of the gang made us feel like family. The food is also quite good at the Repeal Steakhouse within the Hotel Distil. I think the oak-fired grill is what gave the meals that special flavor. Also, the hotel has a social gathering each night to celebrate the end of Prohibition. At 7:33pm, a bell is rung and a cocktail is served to mark the occasion. It was quite fun to experience! Overall, a great place to stay and I would definitely go back if I'm ever in Louisville again.

Yelp
Hotel Distil, Autograph Collection is a cool place to stay in the middle of everything. I really like the location and everything that they have available here. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need. Good overall experience every time I have been here.

Yelp
Visited Indiana for the first time lead is to Indianapolis. While searching for a hotel I found Indyworks had great reviews. The industrial, steam punk style is done very well. Masculine but not overly so. It's very clean and I believe they have a signature scent for their hotel. It smelled really good every time we walked around. The room was gorgeous, clean, spacious and very inviting. Beds were comfortable and we got comfy robes to use. We used the gym which was also clean and well stocked and had well maintained equipment. Staff was friendly at the hotel and at Provision's restaurant. We loved the location too. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. If I'm ever in this area again I will stay here. Highly recommended for weekend getaways, business trips, etc.
google avatar

Yelp
Autograph Distil is a great hotel. Coffee available in the morning and nespresso machines in the rooms - a coffee lovers delight. The rooms are plenty big and it has an amazing restaurant attached for those wanting to not even leave the hotel for food. And at 7:33 everyday they toast the repeal of Prohibition with complimentary Old Fashioneds!
google avatar

Matt H.

Yelp
I LOVED my stay here! The staff was incredible from the moment of check in all the way through check out. We stayed in the Connoisseur Suite for the weekend. The room was spacious, every room had great views of the city, the decor was modern and matched the whiskey theme of the hotel, and the hotel restaurant/bar is top notch. At this hotel, you're within walking distance to several distilleries, restaurants and bars. For baseball fans, you're less than a 5 minute drive from the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory, and there are more distilleries close by; I definitely recommend the Evan Williams bourbon experience! I can't say enough good things about this place. We'll definitely come back once COVID restrictions in the area ease a bit. One other thing to note, the mouthwash in the bathroom has a hint of bourbon flavor!
google avatar

Lauren A.

Yelp
Hotel Distil has been fabulous! The interior design and decor is gorgeous, classy, modern and clean. The bar and restaurant are top notch and it's a huge step up from The Moxy next door. Well worth the money for the comfort and polished staff!

Yelp
From the moment we checked in for our 5 day visit with lovely Reception Leader, Simone, has been a delightful stay! The view from our 9th floor room window provided stunning colorful sunsets and a daytime downtown vista of the river and bridges off Whiskey Row! We were welcomed with a J.T. Brown original bourbon pour @ 7:33pm to celebrate and commemorate REPEAL in July 1933 of PROHIBITION! Truly FUN history lesson!! Make certain to watch the Bourbon story on your room TV of the Brown family Distillery from which this hotel was created! Great , yet poignant recollection of how the US GOVERNMENT Prohibition's amendment influenced this family's livelihood and those that depended on it for theirs! Rooms are nicely appointed w mid century modern decor furnishings and very comfortable beds! Found the narrow width of room's square footage a bit cumbersome; however, the suites were larger with corner views! Fresh fluffy linens, chic shower and private toilet area all encased with sliding frosted glass doors makes for elegant private bathing area. Smaller closet area makes it challenging to hang clothing AND Outdoor jackets and coats. Even though a family of four could be accommodated in this room; doubt it would be very comfortable. It also seems like caters to adults but it's very conveniently located to the Yum Center for sporting events and Disney on Ice! Towne Park handles valet parking which I highly recommend since parking garage is not easily accessible and this service is worth the value! Their team of highly trained valets were courteous and prompt when retrieving our car! Nice perk! Repeal restaurant is part of hotel and superb cuisine! Def on pricey $$$ side but good value! Fun bar area, too! However NO FOOD SERVICE before 5pm bc REPEAL kitchen is prepping for DINNER! Enjoy this elegant downtown Louisville property of the Marriott Autograph Collection!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel Love the prohibition toast. Some people had confusion at the restaurant in the evening. Only ate here during breakfast and it was tasty. My room was clean and enjoyable. I would stay here again!

Yelp
I stayed at Hotel Distil during work travel for a few days. The hotel is nicely furnished and all staff that I interacted with was extremely comfortable and accommodating. They do a complimentary evening "cheers" with whiskey or ginger beer and a coffee cart is wheeled into the lobby each morning - a nice touch! The gym is huge, with modern equipment - it has everything most folks will need. Although the rooms are on the small side, they're very quiet, nicely furnished, and the space is very efficient. The shower is phenomenal with tons of pressure, and the bed is comfy, but I had two bad sleeps where my neck was tied in a knot in the morning (my only reason for dinging one star). I'm typically an unfussy sleeper, and hotel beds rarely phase me. I even experimented with the pillows between night one and night two, but no luck. Overall, a beautiful hotel in a nice location with great staff. I just wished I'd slept better. I'd give Hotel Distil another shot, but perhaps I'm not accustomed to the finer things in life and Hotel Distil is just a bit out of my league.

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful and clean. After checking in we headed to our room which was spacious and very comfortable. But, we had a few issues. The first was a loud humming noise, which when we called down they sent someone up immediately. After some investigation they found out the building next door was testing their generator right under our window. Thankfully they said they would be done by 7:00pm and would not be testing over the weekend. The second issue which was very concerning. The door knob as you enter the room was coming off. We told the front desk that we were going out, but it was ok for maintenance to go into the room. When we returned we found a note that they fixed the handle on the barn door ( this door separates the bathroom from bedroom). So not only was the entry handle not fixed the door did not lock. Unfortunately, it was late and there was no one left on staff that could fix the door. Something that was unique was that at 19:33 (7:33pm) every night they pass out shots of J.T.S. Brown Bourbon and ring a bell celebrating the end of prohibition. Yes, there were a few hiccups with our stay. But, I would give this hotel another try if I go back to Louisville.

Yelp
I was recently here for a conference that was just for the morning and afternoon. I live in Lexington so a room was not needed to stay the night. However, I did need a place to pump breastmilk and store it so I didn't have to carry my pump and cooler all day. I called the front desk the day before the conference and explained my situation. The clerk was not especially helpful, so I asked to speak to a manager. I cannot remember her name, but she immediately offered me use of a guest room free of charge while I was there. I was very pleased and surprised. The hotel is gorgeous and I'd love to come back and stay. Thank you Hotel Distil!

Yelp
This one of the best hotels I've stayed at thus far! I loved the decor they had. Highly recommended. I was there for a work event and sat the bar near lobby and kacey was the best bartender ever ...please ask for him!!

tammy c.

Yelp
Wow ... the hotel itself is phenomenal but the staff is what makes the experience!!! Front desk staff .... Evening bourbon tasting at 7:33 ... we literally booked an extra 2 nights!!!

Frank L.

Yelp
Hotel looks nice but incredibly poor management. We booked two of the most expensive suites in the hotel but can't get into either of them. They are telling us that they granted late checkout to all the guests in their suites today so we have to wait for the room to be cleaned. I learned that our rooms have been vacant for over 2 hours and they just didn't get them cleaned. My advice is to stay somewhere else, this place is awful

Yelp
This is a great location! Let's start with the service , right when you walk in you're greeted to a beautiful open area and you can see the restaurant/ bar Repeal that is attached. Check in was super easy and we were told that at 7:33 they offer a free old fashioned shot to celebrate prohibition ending The room itself was clean and the view was beautiful of the city. We could see most of downtown Louisville and at night with all the lights it's so pretty. Plus you can people watch all night lol There are multiple bars, clubs, and restaurants right around the corner. We went to Patrick OSheas to get drinks and an appetizer and it was awesome as well, definitely recommend going around to the local bars! We ended the night at the Repeal Bar and ordered drinks and Key Lime Pie which was awesome!! They have the option to sit on the terrace you just have to ask for it! The bar was socially distanced but there were a lot of people so if that still make you uncomfortable I wouldn't sit in the main dining area !

Yelp
Really special. I've stayed at hotels nice and not so nice, around the world... over 100 nights a year for the last 15 years... This was and is a memorable one! Even with covid protocol, they managed to make it a special place and thoroughly enjoyed, can't wait to visit again when things are more "normal"

Yelp
Hotel Distil and Hotel Moxy, sister properties, are my favorite places to stay in Louisville! Hotel staff are all friendly, bar is great and breakfast is great. Hard to get a reservation for dinner which is a little disappointing for a guest staying at the property.

Yelp
Here's a place that has it all. Friendly staff, excellent restaurant and very comfortable rooms. Centrally located on Main Street with everything within walking distance. Tourists events Ball parks and concert halls all close. I have this wonderful hotel bookmarked for future visits.

Yelp
My fiancé and I just left this hotel. We had an absolutely amazing experience here. The staff was phenomenal. They were the friendliest, most professional yet easiest people to have a conversation with. Everyone is invested in you having a great experience. The room was extremely clean, very comfortable, updated and beautiful! We also visited the connected restaurant and even that was the best restaurant experience we had in the whole town. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Yelp
LOVE this place! Boutique style hotel, perfectly designed rooms. Super friendly staff from the front desk welcome to the restaurant/barkeepers to the valet and bellmen. 10/10. They are even pet friendly! Had a wonderful dinner and interesting cocktails at the bar -- Even purchased a bottle of bourbon for the collection. This is our new fav place to stay when in Louisville. Every "Autograph" hotel we've stayed at has been outstanding.

Yelp
This place is 5 star except for the slow, rude and unfriendly bartenders. Was there for 5 days. Perfect score of 5 out of 5 days with lousy bar service. All other employees were delightful and had a go above and beyond attitude!

Yelp
Last night my wife and I decided to check out the bar at Hotel Distil. It's a very nice and inviting place. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The drinks are reasonably priced and delicious. Our favorite moment was the free shot at 7:33 it was a nice surprise. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
Hotel - cost did not match quality. Do yourself a favor and shop around. Restaurant Repeal - reason for 1 star. Told we could sit in the cocktail area, first come first serve policy. We found a high top table and immediately kicked from the table due to a "waitlist." After asking for a table, we were denied, thus ruining our dining plans. Felt lied to, wait staff disconnection and very impolite about the move, somewhat embarrassing. Also, valet staff, incredibly rude and uninviting. Go elsewhere.

Yelp
there is construction going on outside the building across the street and loud music and coming from scaffolding as they jackhammer bricks on multiple floors. the hotel acts shocked when ask about what is happening at 7:30am. don't stay here for a while

Yelp
This is a nice hotel but be aware of some items. First, as it seems is happening in a lot of Marriott hotels, there is no daily service of your room. Be sure to ask for additional towels on your way out for the day. The bar at this hotel is wait list only. Showed up at 7:00 with at least seven seat empty, allowing for social distancing, open. No can do. We were number 5 now on the list. Those seats, they were just waiting for people to show up to claim their spots. No time limits. So then you just wait and wait. Hour in and still waiting. The bar is gorgeous, unfortunately, as a Marriott member and staying at the hotel, I can't get in.

Yelp
Great hotel! If your a bourbon lover this is a must stay hotel. Hotel is located in great proximity to bars, restaurants, and distilleries located downtown (Old Forester and Angles Envy are within walking distance). Hotel bar has a great selection of bourbons and awesome cocktails. The Hotel is new, clean and well kept. The hotel staff provided top notch service during our stay. If your looking for a place to eat the restaurant attached to the hotel is AWESOME!! Highly recommend the Tomahawk steak!!

Yelp
Really nice hotel... loved the layout and the ambiance. Checking into the hotel left an fresh impression on us. Meredith was the person who checked us in. Not sure how the protocol works but we had an associate who worked there gave us the room. Upon check in we were never told that it would be either associate or friends and family. We checked in as normal protocol but after Meredith watched our family member who checked us in she literally watched her walk us outside to the car to get the bags. Meredith made it her business to tell us that because the family member isn't the one who is booking she would have to change our rate to family and friends. Who really police the discount or check-in which should have been addressed before we checked in and was given our price. That didn't sit well with me nor is that a representation of customer service. I would've been happy if that would've been said in the beginning not after seeing my family member leave and then changing our rate.
