Wife and I had a lovely stay from May 26th ~ 29th. Perfect location and friendly staff. I stayed in room 306...planning to go back to Paris in December. Do you offer any bigger rooms than 306? Tried to contact you via email on your website, but the page is not accessible. Please reply with your email address. Thank you.

Very affordable price considering it’s Paris and so well located. The staff is great, the rooms are small but so cleverly designed, you feel cozy, not cramped. It’s clean, convenient and, and I can’t stress this enough, really fantastic in terms of location. 10/10 would come again.

The rooms are not brand new, but clean and individually nice. The staff is awesome, always friendly and helpful 5stars plus. The location is good, close to gare du nord and right between two subway stations. Rates are not on the cheap side, but hey it’s Paris, so they are still ok. Very good spot to have some wonderful days in one of the most beautiful cities on earth.

The staff are very friendly and efficient. The location is great and superbly convenient to get to Marché convert Saint-Quentin, excellent bakery store Mamiche, and others. The room is ok for me as a wheelchair user. However, I think they could install more grab bars around the toilet/bathroom. There was only 1 grab bar at the WC, and none at the shower area. Also the shower seat is very small. Otherwise, everything else is great!

I am not the kind of person who usually complains. It takes a lot for me to do so. Unfortunately, this time, I feel I must. After sending this message directly to the hotel via email three times without receiving any response, I am now posting it as a review. Failing to respond to emails speaks volumes about the poor service, but I am certain there will be a reply to this negative review. On the day of our arrival, we were informed that the elevator was out of order. Unfortunately for us, our rooms were on the 5th floor, which wasn’t ideal. However, during the night, we ran out of drinking water. I had to leave my thirsty 7-year-old son alone in the room and went down to the reception, hoping to buy some water. The staff member told me that there was no water available for purchase in the hotel. He suggested that I go to a kiosk outside, which was about 5 minutes away. I explained to him that I had a small child alone in the room and couldn’t leave him alone for that long in the middle of the night. He just shrugged and said there was no water available. Wow, really? You can’t tell me that your hotel has no water to offer in an emergency. Not even a single glass of water for a thirsty child at 12:30 a.m.? And we don’t drink tap water in Paris anymore since my son had severe diarrhea from the chlorine on our last visit. This particular type of “child-friendliness” will stay in my memory for a very long time. Hopefully, the next thirsty child at midnight will have better luck than my son. We are entitled to a partial refund for the inconvenience caused by the broken elevator, but there has been no response regarding that either. It’s a real shame because the hotel itself is truly excellent. However, the service definitely needs improvement.

I learned a valuable lesson after my stay at Hotel District Republique: Take security measures to safeguard your luggage and bags!||I was seeking an affordable clean place to stay with AC and I thought I had found the spot.||Started off well. Check in was easy, room was ready before check-in time, and staff was friendly. ||Unfortunately, my experience took a nosedive.||Brush aside the small room, very small shower, the fact that water flowed out from the shower stall, and daily street noise till 1-2 in the morning. ||This was our last day on a 2-week trip around Europe. We kept most of our belongings inside our luggage and bags only taking out the necessary. ||Before we checked out, we zip-tied our luggage with a unique zip tie. ||Upon arrival home, we discovered three of our items were missing. I think it’s pretty safe to say it couldn’t have been airport personnel due to the unique zip tie size.||In addition, one of the missing items (pair of glasses) was kept in a backpack. Again, it would be difficult for airport security to remove.||I contacted Agoda about my losses and they provided minimal support. They also advised me to deal with the hotel directly.||I then contacted the hotel and they accepted zero responsibility. Their stance was firm that it could not have been their staff.||It was only about a $300 loss but it provided a valuable lesson.||Take precaution!

For a quick 3-night stay in Paris, this hotel was a nice place to relax.||It can be a little bit hard to find since the outside looks more like the entrance to an office building, and it's along a narrow road where there are most cafés than there is housing. However, when you enter, you are greeted to very kind staff that can speak English (so, don't fret English-speakers!) and they offer their guidance on how to have the best vacation possible.||I didn't try their breakfast, but from what I could see, their eating area was pretty compact where roughly 20 people could eat at a time. I also saw fruit and bread, but nothing much beyond that. I'd say it's better to eat out for breakfast if you want more distance and variety.||My room was on the first floor, and it had one bed that could fit two people. Just like the breakfast area, it was compact with the essentials, and it's definitely suited for a vacation where all you need out of a bedroom is to go right to sleep.||The TV was good, but there was only one English-speaking channel that I could find: CNN. Not that it factors into my rating, this part is simply to inform.||The bed was soft, the shower and toilet were functional, and no air conditioning (but that's Europe, in general). I also requested my room to be clean at 8 in the morning, and by the time I returned from my adventures, it STILL wasn't clean. The housekeeper came by at 2pm to ask if I wanted my sheets changed, just as I was going to take my afternoon nap. That's a very long wait, and I wasn't in the mood to leave my room and wait for him to be finished, so I turned him away. I'd say waiting so long to clean a room that was personally requested to be checked on is my biggest complaint with this hotel.||My vacation was wonderful, and this hotel was just good enough to give me a good night's rest. But, for those interested in staying here, keep in mind that it is a minimalistic location. Do not expect fancy bedrooms or food during your stay. Doesn't make it bad, but it's important to spend 90% of your day outside and come back here for the remainder.

My stay was perfect, better than expected! The staffs were friendly, room was spacious enough for two, and very clean. Great location. We'll be back :)

Yelp
Good location next to Jacques Bonsergent metro station and a few minutes walk from place république. It's also a walkable distance from the canal st-martin and around 30-40 min walk from the seine, montmarte, etc. The rooms aren't too big and the washroom is very small. Overall is was clean and cozy. The hallways are extremely tight but it doesn't really matter. The staff is very friendly and nice. We had an issue with the shower drain but they took note of it and fixed it as soon as we came back to our room.

Yelp
Very clean good location outstanding customer service, The young male doorman/concierge was unbelievably helpful! He was very knowledgeable of the area and helped us through our travels. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again
