This place is so beautiful. To be able to walk to the balcony and immerse yourself in the beauty of Mexico’s Copper Canyon is priceless. The rooms are very clean, with nice decorations, because we love to disconnect during vacations the no TV and no Wi-fi was great for us. The hotel offers different activities, we took a walk to the canyon, the guide was very knowledgeable and attentive. The location is excellent a very short walk off of the train El Chepe, and a 10 minutes walk to the Parque de Aventuras Barranca del Cobre. The hotel had a nice bar and dining room both with stunning views of the canyon and good food. The service was excelente, the staff was kind and very attentive. There was a Raramuri market outside the hotel with beautiful handcrafts. I really recommend staying in this place

If you are staying overnight while traveling in Chepe Express this is a great option, literally just crossing the street from the train station and just to the side of the canyon cliffs, which gives you a breathtaking view. However, for longer stays it is quite complicated and depends on your taste, there are very few activities around, so either you purchase some tours similarly of what you would do at Creel or repeat the same walks you do in the first day (views are amazing so still not a bad option but is not a new and exciting thing everyday. Another reason of being only for one night, the restaurant has a predefined menu, so you have one or two options per day and in specific time schedules. Last but not least, bedrooms are quite simple, which would be fine but beds are very hard and if you have a neighbor in the above level you will hear their footsteps as they would be in your room. Last but not least, service attitude was outstanding, Liz, Tomas, Yair and Edgar were amazing and trying to find ways to help.

We had accommodation in the older block at this hotel which were definitely in need of renovation. The hotel is set in a very dry, arid region and water is precious, so expect underwhelming tepid showers! There is no wifi in the bedrooms. The views from the lounge and restaurant are stunning. The food is a set menu and very average but adequate.

Great visit. Most people are on the go and stay only one or two night. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great chef, and our compliments to Martin our guide. Plus we are dog lovers. Our new amigos followed us the 2 mile walk to the adventure park. Finally, this hotel is directly next to the train station. The picture posted is the view from our room balcony

This hotel is charming in many ways, but the windowless room we were initially assigned in the old section reeked of kerosene from the previous night, and was totally unacceptable. After some discussion, we were offered a room with a lack of view, but was habitable.||||The only rooms is the old section that looked appealing were Rooms 7-10.||||The dinner and breakfast were pretty good.||||The views are amazing.||||If we had been assigned a room in the new block, it would have been a different experience.

The views are spectacular but the service and room leave a lot to be desired. No help to find the room or with my bag. No tv or wifi in room. Coffee maker dirty. It was assumed that I was part of a couple so when I came to have breakfast they didn't ask me what I would like for ages. Two star hotel with five star vista.

I went to see famous Copper Canyon with gate 1 tour. On original plan, it was supposed to stay at Mirador hotel (only other hotel on the rim of the canyon. ||||Rooms: rooms are spacious with nice combination of basic, wooden features with modern bathroom attached. As they promise, "every room" has a balcony" with excellent canyon view and this is a winner for me and you can relax on the chair provided.||||Amenities: be sure to spend some time at big lodge with big window to see the canyon and enjoy honest vendors in front of the hotel. ||- Indigenous Raramuri people from nearby village are selling handmade goods at very fair price (not like in cabo, Cancún or curise ship stops). ||- Also famous Chepe train station is literally in front of the hotel. ||||Food, service: I would say adequate. Food at times repetitive but hey, it is cooked well and did not sick after eating. Many tour groups and local fighting for table at times. ||- Also this hotel provide daily allowance of free water bottles (unlike money grabbing Mirador hotel does not). ||||Hidden gem: be sure to check out short trail to hill (owned and maintained by the hotel) - check out cliff dwellers' old houses, archeological artifacts and BEST of all - amazing view of the expensive canyon from the top and if you happened to be at the time Chepe train is coming to the station, excellent photo op!||||Warning: do not drink or even rinse tap water from bathroom - it is for washing, only water source in that area. Use provided water bottle to brush your teeth etc.

Hotel is conveniently right across the road from the train station. A man from the hotel met us by our luggage and took it to the lobby for us, which was nice because there are some steps along the way and also we didn't really know where the hotel was.||||Important to know: this and other hotels do not have potable water in the rooms. And they will gouge you for bottled water. But in the shops at the train station there is one that sells water very reasonably, so stock up there.||||The room was pretty simple but the bed was very comfortable, climate control worked great, and the view from the balcony kept us out there a lot. The edge of the canyon is literally at your feet. The night sky is spectacular after some of the exterior lighting goes off; they could do with some better aiming and shading to give a dark sky.||||The food was good in the restaurant but quite limited in scope. Bar service was very casual; if there was no bartender the lady at the front desk just told us to grab our own beers out of the cooler. The lounge area windows have hummingbird feeders on the exterior so there's some delightful bird watching. There was essentially no English spoken so it's best to have a little travel Spanish in your tool kit.
