Stayed here for 3 nights in two different rooms (had to move on the 3rd night as the room we would have like to have stayed in was booked). It is a beautiful inn and the staff were all so kind. The room we stayed in initially had a large veranda with a beautiful view. The room itself was nicely decorated, although I have to admit that as a septuagenarian that the claw foot bath tub was a bit of a challenge to get into and out of (although still quite charming). Our third night was spent in the family room, which had an attic area with two single beds (that we didn’t even go up to). It was somewhat less of a charming room as it had no balcony, but it did have a normal shower. Breakfasts were served on a lovely windowed porch and offerings were more than ample and delicious. Eggs could be ordered cooked to your preference. The inn is within easy walking distance of the town, where there are some nice restaurants and tour operators who can take you on all sorts of adventures. We did zip lining one day and a e-bike tour the next. Both were fun days. Bovec is a charming town located in a beautiful environment. I highly recommend a visit there and if you want a lovely place to stay be sure to check out the Dobra Vila.

Charming hotel with amazing staff and outstanding breakfast The team at Dobra Vila Bovec is incredibly kind and welcoming — you immediately feel at home. The hotel and rooms have a lovely, charming style with plenty of space and a warm atmosphere. However, the shower feels quite old-fashioned and isn’t really a proper shower, which makes showering a bit inconvenient. Apart from that, the room was large and comfortable. The breakfast, on the other hand, is absolutely fantastic — beautifully presented, delicious, and with everything you could wish for. Plenty of parking spaces and easy access make the stay even more pleasant. Overall, a very nice hotel with room for small improvements.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Dobra Vila for three nights. It is a boutique hotel with 11 rooms. Its architecture and interior design are unique and beautiful. The inside has a retro feel (there is a 1932 motorcycle in a window overlooking the entrance) and modern feel at the same time, with sleek lines and excellent workmanship. Book shelves filled with an eclectic collection of books line the back of hotel entrance room and sitting room, which are back to back and connected by a fireplace. The room numbers are quirky and named after local geologic and perhaps other features. || There is a wonderful patio outback overlooking a large, beautifully landscaped yard and the surrounding mountains in Bovec. ||There is a nice little bar where drinks can be ordered. ||The breakfast includes full service and a buffet. The buffet is a sumptuous work of art highlighted by floral decorations. ||The hotel is within walking distance of good restaurants in Bivec with written recommendations by the hotel. It also is about a 30 minute drive from the famous *** Michelin restaurant, Hiša Franko, in Kobarid, Slovenia. (Hiring transport is advised if there is no designated driver). ||The two managers could have been more friendly or helpful.

We just loved this town, this area, and this hotel. We had a family room which was great - 2 single beds up a small flight of stairs and a big double bed with a sitting area. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was a buffet plus you could order fresh cooked eggs. Coffee was also to order. You could sit so nicely on the terrace which was very peaceful. The host and hostess were so friendly and kind. We also enjoyed drinks a couple evenings on the terrace. Simply loved the hotel! Short walk to the village to many restaurants. There is so much to do in the area, I wish we had stayed longer.

Breakfast is awesome - extraordinary high level on presentation and wide selection. Tables in winter-garden or outside in nice weather. Super-friendly and helpful staff. Parking right outside. Room clean. Relaxing atmosphere. In our opinion the use of essential oils could have been more restrained.

We stayed one night at Dobra Vila Bovec and were thoroughly impressed by this beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms are tastefully decorated with high ceilings and offer stunning views from the balcony—something we wish we had more time to enjoy. Although we arrived late and left in the morning, the warm hospitality of the staff, the elegant ambiance, and the lovely breakfast made our short stay memorable. The checkout is 10:30 a.m. checkout. We would have loved to linger a bit longer to enjoy the views from the balcony on the sun loungers. We will definitely return.

This really is a sophisticated and elegant location! 😊 The first thing I noticed was the beautiful fireplace which was working when we got there on a late October afternoon!🔥🌛 I was immediately drawn to it. We later discovered that it was a double fireplace which could be enjoyed from both sides ( and between you and me, the other side, a more private and secluded place, was a better choice🤫) The room we got was 640; the rooms have strange numbers because there are only 11 rooms but an explanation is provided on the other side of each door😉. Tall room, overlooking the mountains. I didn't like that much the display of the bathroom but that is a personal choice! It would have made so much more sense a window door than a curtain!🤭 We had dinner in the first of their suggestions which are displayed at the reception which turned out to be an excellent choice. Sorry, don't remember the name! When we returned at about 9 pm there was nobody in the lobby. But the fire was still burning! I really appreciated that!! The trouble to keep the right mood on even though there is no one to enjoy it... that says a lot! And we got to enjoy the other side of the fireplace over a glass of wine after a short walk in the cold air!🫶 The breakfast was the main reason why we chose this location, I must confess. Everybody had such high praises about it so I had high expectations! The closed terrace is really cosy, overlooking so much greenary, old trees and a meadow. It was a rainy, foggy morning so I couldn't see more than that! The food... well, yes, they were beautifully displayed, almost like works of art, too beautiful to be touched, let alone eaten!🤭 There were a lot of fresh fruits but not fresh vegetables or warm options other than scrambled eggs or omlette. I mean, I wasn't blown away. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy my breakfast! I did!! Would I go there again? Well, that's another story!😊

We had a wonderful three-day stay at this romantic and historic hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The staff were all incredibly friendly, but the best part was the delicious and healthy breakfast. The eggs were always cooked perfectly, and the large selection of fresh, unsweetened fruits was fantastic. We would absolutely stay here again.
