Hotel Dobra Vila Bovec

We just loved this town, this area, and this hotel. We had a family room which was great - 2 single beds up a small flight of stairs and a big double bed with a sitting area. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was a buffet plus you could order fresh cooked eggs. Coffee was also to order. You could sit so nicely on the terrace which was very peaceful. The host and hostess were so friendly and kind. We also enjoyed drinks a couple evenings on the terrace. Simply loved the hotel! Short walk to the village to many restaurants. There is so much to do in the area, I wish we had stayed longer.

We stayed one night at Dobra Vila Bovec and were thoroughly impressed by this beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms are tastefully decorated with high ceilings and offer stunning views from the balcony—something we wish we had more time to enjoy. Although we arrived late and left in the morning, the warm hospitality of the staff, the elegant ambiance, and the lovely breakfast made our short stay memorable. The checkout is 10:30 a.m. checkout. We would have loved to linger a bit longer to enjoy the views from the balcony on the sun loungers. We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful three-day stay at this romantic and historic hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The staff were all incredibly friendly, but the best part was the delicious and healthy breakfast. The eggs were always cooked perfectly, and the large selection of fresh, unsweetened fruits was fantastic. We would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful hotel and amazing staff. They were always willing to help with any questions we had or reservations we needed. The breakfast is also great — a particularly important factor as there aren’t many food options in this town, so a hearty breakfast to start each day made our trip that much better. Will definitely return to Bovec and stay here again.

As mentioned in other reviews this is not a hi-tech modern hotel, it is a small boutique hotel with 11 rooms where attention to detail and excellent service are top of the agenda. The rooms are clean, very comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The terrace where you have breakfast (weather permitting) overlooks the stunning Julian Alps. The staff are fantastic, with only a small number of rooms guests are recognised. We stayed there for four nights as my daughter was getting married close to Bovec, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable and relaxed place to stay.

The hotel is beautiful, in a stunning location, and the rooms were very clean, which I appreciate. The lady at the reception was very kind and professional – big compliment. On the other hand, the gentleman from the staff (apparently the manager) acted as if we were bothering him, and in the evening he reprimanded us for being “too loud” in a way that felt like we were little kids – which is completely inappropriate for a hotel of this level. And breakfast – a huge faux pas: there was a clump of hair in the ham-and-eggs, which ruined the entire impression of the hotel.

I can't say enough great things about our stay at this hotel in Bovec! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable experience. The rooms were clean, cozy, and perfectly situated for exploring the stunning Soča Valley. Each morning started with a fantastic breakfast—fresh, delicious, and full of local flavors. It gave us the perfect boost for our adventurous days ahead and was clearly prepared with care and attention to quality. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the hotel’s recommendation to book our watersport adventures with Ultimate Alps. It was hands-down the highlight of our trip! Thanks to their recommendation, Ultimate Alps made us feel safe, energized, and completely immersed in the natural beauty of the region. We’re so grateful to the hotel staff for pointing us in the right direction—it’s that kind of personal touch that makes a huge difference.
