A Cycling Enthusiast's Guide to Greenville, South Carolina

"Located about twenty minutes by car from downtown Greenville, Hotel Domestique is a high-end respite in the mountains above Greenville. Named for the role George Hincapie played in his years as a professional cyclist (a domestique is a cyclist in a road racing team whose role is not to win but to help their team leader during a race, for example by setting the pace or creating a slipstream), the hotel offers bike rentals, guided tours, an abundance of route options, and (of course) spa and pool options to enjoy after those leg-burning mountain rides."

This is an excellent hotel in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Fantastic views envelope you as you approach the hotel. It has a definite European charm even as you approach the front doors. Not only in the design of the hotel, but the aura and location. The staff is fantastic and friendly, and the added touch of an excellent included breakfast is just a cherry atop a wonderful stay. Definitely try Hotel 17 for dinner (at least once) during your stay, the Octopus was absolutely sublime.

Absolutely recommend! Alex and his team were unbelievably attentive and hospitable. This hotel is beautiful, but the staff is truly the reason I would return. The restaurant has a unique menu, the room was very clean, the turn down service was a nice touch. We did not realize breakfast was included but was a nice surprise and delicious. The afternoon drinks and small plates on the veranda were superb and Anneliese went above and beyond during this in between brunch and dinner time to make sure we didn't go thirsty nor hungry while relaxing. A nice weekend get away from Charlotte without having to fly to Europe.

We had our wedding her a few weeks ago in November & it was BEAUTIFUL!! I loved this venue and it was so special from the first time we visited - location is stunning. I would give 4 stars in some areas and 5 in others. You need to keep in mind, this is a boutique hotel first and foremost and it seems like the wedding side of things is still something they are getting the hang of & aren't very organized on. The communication on what was included, cost of items, what was allowed, etc. was mostly muddled and confused or we would get conflicting answers. There were many miscommunications, we had meetings staff wouldn't show up to despite us traveling & having on calendar for weeks (this happened twice to us). It would take a while to get a reply & typically it was a half answer, logistically the way they require some things be done doesn't make sense & they aren't always upfront - example I asked if they had heaters & fans for us to use. They said yes we do but didn't tell me it was a $35 per heater cost until the end. Yes it was in the long contract they have you sign, but when I go back to an email & just have a yes we have them answer & staff knew there was a cost & didn't include that in their reply, it's being deceptively ignorant. I was told we could have access to all bars at the hotel, turns out only 1 is an option if your guest count is below 150 - completely changed my vision for how the flow/decor & design would be. Their team was constantly changing on who was on staff & what their job was & at times some staff members seemed clueless. The cost is fair for what you are getting honestly & even though they require you work with their team for catering, which I dislike having no other option, their food could not have been better so it was honestly the best!! They put welcome fliers in all the rooms & had not changed the bride & groom names, so instead of saying welcome to Clark & Jessica's wedding weekend we were Claire & Graham LOL, but they fixed it when we brought it up. They do require you work with a wedding planner from their list & this is my largest complaint - I worked with Toujours Events & had a 1 star experience with her unfortunately. If you have your wedding here, don’t work with her!!!!! She ruined the experience and day of for me in so many ways. Hotel staff was 5 stars day of wedding though and the assistant general manager I believe was a rockstar. We had a 10 min rain storm come through unexpectedly and no tent b/c weather had been perfect up until then - the hotel staff saved the day by running around and collecting everything to bring inside. Drying everything off, helping re-set up, the assistant manager was mopping our dance floor, - my guests were singing their praises & so impressed! We had a few hiccups with room items, the light fixture in shower not being secure, toilet that wouldn't stop running, rips in the rug in room that didn't look nice, etc. but overall rooms are beautiful with either a great view, fireplace, or bathroom, sometimes all 3! They do have some hidden fees & taxes that add up so pay attention to contract but overall we would recommend getting married here or staying here in general. We cannot wait to return for anniversary trips in the future.

Google
Boutique hotel without pretense. Staff makes the guests feel like family. Large, beautiful and comfortable rooms. Excellent meals. Gorgeous property. Best of all, everything a cyclists wants! Great mechanic on site. Designated routes if desired - right out of the front door. Road snacks. Daily laundry service!

Google
We loved everything about this hotel! Felt like we were special guests in a fabulous French Villa. Comfortable rooms, so many extra details (fresh flowers, coffee bar, water and snacks available) Restaurant 17 gets five stars across the board. Such a treat breakfast included. Many fun hiking trails nearby and of course great bike routes. Loved the salt water private pool. I could go on. Best part the people working there. Took great care of us. Well done, we hope to return soon!

I feel so lucky to have been able to visit this hotel. I felt like I went to the Spanish countryside. Which I’ve never been to. The food was exceptional. The location was super pretty and quiet. But the service was the best part. I didn’t stay here. But I spent some time here 2 days in a row for a family wedding. Everyone was happy and impressed with just about everything. This is a great cyclist hotel too.

Google
The most beautiful, unique, and clean lodging I have ever experienced. Close enough to town for convenience, but feels like you are a world away as soon as you step foot on the grounds. The staff are amazingly welcoming, and the amenities are plentiful. We were greeted on arrival with glasses of white wine, and a bottle of red wine was provided in the room. Soft drinks, water, teas, coffees, and trail mixes of all types were available in the guest area on each floor complementary. The bedding was luxurious, the bathrooms perfectly clean. The pool was beautiful with plenty of chairs available. The landscaping and views around the grounds are breathtaking. Will definitely be returning.

If you’re dreaming of a romantic weekend escape that feels like it’s worlds away — but still close enough for a quick getaway from Myrtle Beach — let me introduce you to Hotel Domestique in Travelers Rest, South Carolina where the staff will make you feel right at home. Nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this European-inspired boutique hotel blends luxury with serenity in the most breathtaking way. The moment you arrive, you’re greeted by rustic stone architecture, ivy-covered walls, and sweeping mountain views that instantly make you forget about your to-do list back home. Every corner of the hotel feels intentional — from the handcrafted furnishings to the art that adorns each room, and the calming neutral palette that makes it feel like a private Tuscan villa. And for my Myrtle Beach followers wondering — it’s just about a five-hour drive, making it the perfect long-weekend retreat for couples who crave something peaceful, scenic, and oh-so-romantic. During the day, you can explore nearby wineries, take a bike ride along the Swamp Rabbit Trail, or simply enjoy a slow morning with coffee on your private balcony while the mountains wake up around you. And when evening falls… there’s truly no better way to unwind than with a glass of wine overlooking the water feature, glowing softly under the warm lights, with the Blue Ridge Mountains fading into the twilight behind it. Hotel Domestique isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a place to reconnect, recharge, and remember what slow living really feels like.

Yelp
We stopped at the bar on our trip to Greenville. I had the Daily Grind to drink, it was amazing! We had the Buttermilk Ricotta Dip, which also was amazing. Stefanie was our bartender, she was extremely friendly and personable. I didn't get the name of the bartender who relieved her, but he has nice too. The bar had an fun ambiance, we felt very welcomed. I look forward to visiting the hotel and eating at the restaurant when I move to Greenville. .

Yelp
Like a wonderful retreat in Europe! This place is so well done and the staff is amazing. I have been wanting to come forever! I was trying to get out of my home in WNC as I had no power and no water for over 29 days. I could not believe my luck that they had a room and THEY HAD A SPECIAL RATE FOR THOSE OF US WHO WERE REFUGEES! They even offered food be to bring some clothes to wash. Can't say enough nice things!!!!

Yelp
Just back from a few days at the hotel, really a great experience. The location is great. Far enough from busy areas so the cycling is safe, yet close enough to Travelers Rest, Greenville and Ashville to tour. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. All three front desk receptionists were great, the waitress and bus staff in the 17 were cheerful and well trained, Chad the cycle mechanic was great as well. The hotel itself is immaculate. rooms are spacious, airy with great views. Comfortable beds and terrific bathrooms. The pool was fantastic and the gym was a nice surprise. Bike rides were loaded into my Garmin by Chad. The routes were great, he discusses your interests and gets you to the right place. Outstanding rides. Food at 17 was great, the price matches the service and quality of food, all terrific. I hope to make it back soon.

Yelp
My girls and I came here for an appointment to look at the venue for my wedding. It's pretty but we came inside and told the front desk that we had an appointment and the lady said there isn't anyone here to show y'all around. The lady emailed us saying Monday at 6pm. I drove an hour from Spartanburg all the way over here just to show myself around for 15 minutes and leave. Really unprofessional on their part.

Yelp
Awesome food atmosphere and backdrop for pics this is the perfect fall destination i will always be back

Yelp
Tucked away outside of Greenville is a magical resort. Charming old French in. Vibe with a 1st class restaurant. There are lots of bike routes you can ride all around Travelers Rest as well.

Yelp
If you want something different, this is a nice change of pace. Beautiful and relaxed setting with good food. We found it a bit pricey, but not outlandish. The staff were terrific.

Yelp
Definitely worth visiting Hincapie's establishment on north side of TR. European feel captured well at the edge of the mountains. Great compliment to a drive in the mountains or cycling. hotel looks inviting and wife and I considering a weekend stay. We had brunch and there is a creative craft cocktail and beer list along with a decent wine selection. Bloodys were great although the table favorite was the Plymouth and Co. cocktail. All entrees were fantastic. I shared a beet and apricot salad with an order of the coconut shrimp over citrus orzo. Omeletes and shrimp and grits got thumbs up as well. Only a short 30- 45min drive from Greenville depending which side of town. Great table service. Very attentive and professional. Beautiful views of mountains and Cyprus on grounds for that Mediterranean feel. Will be back for sure.

Yelp
Exceptional customer service made this my favorite stay in years. Restaurant was equally great. Hotel and restaurant staff went above and beyond to make our little special occasion memorable.

Yelp
My wife and I had absolutely the best time while staying here over the long Thanksgiving weekend. We had never been to the Carolina's before (living in SoCal) and had only heard about the Hotel through the ifit cycling classes that George Hincape does, which is what initially inspired us to visit this beautiful area and stay in this gorgeous little Hotel. I have to say it was better on all accounts than what we had expected, the Hotel staff did a fantastic job to make us feel welcome and ensure we had everything we need. The Hotel atmosphere was sophisticated yet homey and very comfortable. Restaurant 17 was also a highlight, we ate 3 dinners, 3 breakfasts and 1 lunch there, including the Thanksgiving feast which was incredible! The whole wait staff was top notch! A big shout out to Chad (resident bike mechanic and guide) who helped us with our bike rental set ups as well as making sure we had water, snacks and good routes planed for our rides. We thoroughly enjoyed the 3 bike rides and hike that we were able to do. We will forever have fond memories of this trip and are already thinking of when we can plan our next trip back to Hotel Domestique.

Yelp
Wow! Five stars is still not enough to describe marvelous our stay was at Hotel Domestique! This hotel is pristine with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The grounds are relaxing and feel like a romantic escape, perfect at any time of the day. The shower and robes were the best I've seen and is the perfect way to continue the relaxing getaway. As wonderful as the hotel itself is, the staff is even better. Amy checked us in and anticipated every need before we thought of it ourselves. She went above and beyond in making our anniversary trip so special. Amy was our main interaction, but all of the ladies at the front desk were so hospitable and really made us feel special. Thank you Hotel Domestique! We will be back!

Yelp
Outstanding service... striking decor that is a combination of 200 year old beams, rough granite, rustic wood flooring, contrasted with a combination of bright and dark walls, modern fixtures and great mountain views. The place is well designed and built. We stayed on the first floor with only three guest rooms. Rooms are spacious, his and her closets, a superb shower. Ultra modern bath. Attention to detail was evident. Sparkling wine when we arrived. A nice refreshment area with complementary wine, coffee, soft drinks and snacks 24/7. Polite staff... We have stayed in any number of small hotels this is one of the nicest. It fells like being a guest at the vineyard owners chateau. We will be back...

Yelp
Staff are a special group of folks. Only matched by finest luxury hotels in Europe. Everyone was extra attentive and provided a full weekend of great service from Friday arrival through Sunday departure. Restaurant was attentive and food finely prepared. Portions were plentiful. Tastes fresh and herbs just picked from on premise gardens. Amenities were in great condition and made the stay enjoyable. Masseuses were top notch and expected care and attention that pro cyclist or athlete would expect. Pantries were hidden gems. Thank you so much your gracious hospitality.

Yelp
Wow.... prepare to be blown away!! The service here goes above and beyond consistently. Beds are super comfy and rooms are spacious. Their are snack bars on every floor with wine, drinks and snacks. The restaurant on site is phenomenal. We had breakfast and dinner both nights. The food is prepared with fresh ingredients and the beef was always cooked perfectly. I especially loved using the peloton bikes to work off last nights meal in the gym area and using the complimentary BMW service to get to the wedding ceremony!!

Yelp
My husband was planning on giving me a special hotel/spa getaway for my birthday in July. We decided to check out the venue on Saturday, March 18 around 7 in the evening. We drove around and saw the beautiful houses near the property including the winery. We couldn't find the hotel main entrance so we decided to park and have dinner at Restaurant 17 since they had open slots according to their website on Open Table. To our surprise as we walked outside the restaurant area we were approached by a young white man who stated that the hotel and restaurant was closed for the weekend for a private event. This was surprising to us because this information was not listed on their website nor displayed outside anywhere on the premises. We knew this was not the truth about the restaurant because as stated above they had open tables. We returned to the car and checked availability at the hotel and found that they had open accommodations for Sunday, March 19 which would have been perfect for us. We are well seasoned travelers and have stayed in many 5 star accommodations. Therefore to be treated this way sent a clear message that we nor our money is welcomed at this establishment. We will definitely spread the word to others so they can avoid being treated in this manner.

Yelp
What a gorgeous place to visit. It's an adult friendly and especially cyclist friendly place to visit. Very comfortable... the rooms are large and the beds are amazing. Food at their restaurant was great, very flavorful. They also have gluten free options and are very accommodating. Came here for a charity bike ride and will come back. Roads in the area are great for riding. My husband and I both rented bikes... came with di2!! I was very excited about that. There is a pool, great views, good food, friendly staff... all in all very relaxing. Loved it!

Yelp
While the venue is exceptional, then customer service is poor. Do not expect your bathroom to be cleaned. After several requests, the bathroom was partially cleaned without replacing the towels or emptying the trash. I made the mistake of buying the Domestique Bike Kit. While the bib was in stock, I had to order the jersey. Three months later I have not received the jersey. Repeated calls over the last several weeks have accomplished little. I get a different explanation on each call and need to repeat my contact info on every call. Very disappointing.

Yelp
We could not be happier with our decision to hold our wedding weekend at Hotel Domestique! We initially contacted Sarah, the event coordinator of Hotel Domestique only 6 weeks before our wedding, after making the difficult decision to downsize our large wedding due to COVID19. We were planning to reduce our wedding guest list from 160 to 26 people, and were looking for a venue that would be more size-appropriate for our new plan to host a small, intimate ceremony and elegant dinner. Hotel Domestique did not disappoint! From the first day we met with Sarah and toured the gorgeous hotel and dreamy grounds, we knew that Hotel Domestique would be the perfect venue for us! Even in planning a completely new wedding in only 6 weeks, we couldn't have had a better experience at Hotel Domestique. Sarah was fantastic to work with. She was prompt, clear, and consistent with communication, and very accommodating, even with the constantly changing state COVID regulations. Sarah was great at helping us create a beautiful new wedding plan, while incorporating COVID precautions that would ensure our guests felt safe and comfortable (which was something that was important to us!) She also helped us to come up with some creative solutions to carry out the wedding plans we initially wanted, by shifting their "typical" event practices to accommodate our ideas in a safe manner. We booked out the entire hotel (13 rooms total) for our wedding group and stayed the entire weekend. The hotel staff treated us so well and were so amazing to work with. We received special treats on our pillows each night and were given free use of all of the common areas! I can't say enough positive things about Hotel Domestique and all of its staff on-site!! So many of our guests are still telling us that our wedding was the best wedding they've ever been to. :) If you're considering having your wedding here, do it!! You won't regret it!

Yelp
We had my sisters wedding here last weekend and it is, simply put, amazing. It's a villa-style hotel surrounded by a vineyard, owned by long-time Armstrong domestique George Hincapie and his brother. The staff here is amazing, attentive and helpful. Brendan behind the bar really knows his stuff. I ate the hamburger at the café one day and it's worth every bit of the price. I'm so appreciative of all the work the staff here put into making my kid sisters wedding such a resounding success. It was as close to perfect as a wedding could get, in large part thanks to the hotel, the vendors, and the staff. I need to come back and stay for a weekend- it's the perfect spot to relax with a drink and a book.
google avatar

Lori L.

Yelp
Came here for a wedding and also stayed at the hotel. We were immediately greeted. Once we checked in, they offered us champagne and gave us a tour and showed us our room. It's a nice quaint area with beautiful views. We stayed in the Madeliene room. Very spacious with a vineyard view. We got our bags to take to our room and they offered to help us. We didn't get to go to the pool but it was beautiful and clean. The wedding there was amazing and the whole staff was nice from the beginning to the end of our stay. We got breakfast the next morning at the restaurant. Fresh squeezed orange juice was good. We had a yogurt with granola and honey with fresh fruit and a veggie frittata. The stay was warm and relaxing. I highly recommend!

Sarah S.

Yelp
This is a lovely and quiet getaway spot for a night or two away, with gorgeous views, luxurious accommodations and amazing drinks and food. We loved dining by the fountain, walking the grounds, using the pelotons, and enjoying our beautiful room. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
George and Rich Hincapie have done it! ...They aggregated the best of the international boutique hotel experiences to a hamlet just outside Greenville, South Carolina,USA. Hotel Domestique is charming, comfy, warm, and personable. NOTE: Bring your bike, fresh legs, and a jacket for dinner! My wife and I checked in early. After we arrived, we quickly jumped on an epic ride, that started at the end of the driveway. We climbed for most of the morning, only to return to the hotel on a fast 15 mile decent. Dinner at 17, was nothing short of amazing. We started with cocktails the quaint bar, with a view of the surrounding mountains. The chef (from Blackberry Farm) showed off his chops - starting with the very first plate. The style of the room and quality of the dining warranted a jacket - with jeans of course ;) All in all, it was stellar. Book now, because you might not get in later!!!

Yelp
Wow, such a jewel of a resort. Come get a slice of heaven and stay there. Incredible views, food and service.

Yelp
Spent the Labor day weekend here with the family. This resort hotel is located in a quiet and beautiful place. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. It has a relaxing pool and a popular farm to table restaurant. It is close to Travelers Rest and Greenville, SC. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend retreat.

Yelp
Beautiful place, lovely grounds. This is basically a hotel for cyclists as it is owned by George Hincapie, Tour de France stage winner. It is a very small boutique hotel, with a homey atmosphere. I think it has 8-10 rooms, kitchen available for soft drinks, water, and a variety of wines, and it has a fabulous restaurant. I am not a cyclist. My husband is, and we went there so he can ride in the beautiful hills in South Carolina. There was an evening happy hour and we met lovely people. We've been there twice. My only wish would be that they had a fitness room, which they do not. A man did come to the hotel to give me yoga lessons.

Ann L.

Yelp
We enjoyed a delightful wedding weekend! The accommodations were very comfortable, the food had a special nuance, and the service was impeccable. The staff graciously met our every need. One suggestion: footstools in the bedroom.

Dennis M.

Yelp
This was an unexpected vacation that turned out better that we could have imagined. It was amazing from the moment we walked in the door and were offered complimentary champagne. The room was beautiful and well cleaned. There was a stocked pantry with snack and drink available 24/7. I participated in two cycling guided tours - my wife came with us on one. The ride was different both days and we had a blast. Our guide Justin really added a personal touch with both of us. My bike was taken excellent care of by the mechanic on staff. He cleaned and adjusted it after every ride - it's leaving in better condition that it arrived in! Restaurant 17 was amazing for dinner - get the ricotta dip! Breakfast was included and it was so nice being greeted by the same server every morning who remembered our coffee/tea preferences. There were so many excellent places to eat in the surrounding area and downtown Greenville isn't too far away either. We also visited several wineries and distilleries in the area that also impressed. The only two small negatives were there was no drawer space, only shelving in the closet; and the wifi was inconsistent (we used a Hotspot when streaming).

Hannah M.

Yelp
We had been looking forward to our stay at Hotel Domestique for quite some time and have been following along on Instagram since its beginnings. Four of us (girl's trip) arrived to find that the website allowed us to book four adults in a single king bed room. Despite two of us having to sleep on the floor (one on a roller bed and another on an air mattress), we were hopeful that the rest of our experience would meet our expectations. Unfortunately, it did not. At the time of our booking, the nightly rate exceeded $500, and for that price, we would have expected the curtains to be fixed (they were broken and dangling off), the shutters and room to be dusted, the soap and body wash to be stocked, and for room service to visit daily, especially since we requested it upon arrival. We were offered complimentary champagne upon arrival but never received it. Instead, the restaurant staff rudely rushed us away from the outside tables claiming dinner reservations would be arriving soon (they were hours away). We have never been approached or spoken to the way he spoke to us by professionals. When we discovered we had not received room service, we asked for it and for them to remove the extra beds since we had been set up with a second room. When we finally made it back upstairs, we arrived to our room to find our door WIDE OPEN. The cleaning staff had forgotten to shut our door whilst our belongings were inside. The door could not have opened any wider. We have NEVER experienced anything like this anywhere. For this price, we would have hoped to have few issues, and potentially other amenities like a mini fridge in each room. The second room was less dirty, but we could effortlessly see that it had not been properly cleaned in some time. The restaurant had incredible food and was the saving grace of our time at the hotel. Besides being charged for drinks at breakfast, we loved all of our food and were happy to have found one part of our trip that exceeded our expectations.

Yelp
This hotel is nice and the staff is great, too. If you have the opportunity to visit and ride the Hincapie Gran Fondo in October, you won't be disappointed a bit. They put on a great event and the hotel is top notch!

Yelp
What a great find while passing thru. Beautiful hotel with a super relaxing vibe. The staff was genuinely nice and the guest kitchenettes were well stocked and appreciated. The rooms and bathrooms and balcony had a spa-like feel. The restaurant at dinner was excellent and the wait staff went above and beyond. The included breakfast had a serve yourself coffee bar and the best biscuits I've ever eaten!

Yelp
SWOON! We spent our wedding night here and absolutely loved it! We arrived after the wedding, so pretty late, but were still greeted warmly and welcomed. Champagne and macaroons were waiting for us in our room, such a nice treat. While we were only there for less than 24 hours, we loved every minute, and can't wait to return.

Yelp
Not just a cycling paradise! Hotel Domestique is a great property with impeccable service, fantastic food (breakfast included with your stay, cafe on site for midday snack, and the Bat 17 restaurant is worth the drive even if just coming for dinner) and great views of the mountains. They are happy to arrange on site massages if you want to spend the day relaxing in the garden and salt water pool. But... If you are like us and do want to ride, there are hundreds of road biking routes in the surrounding hills that the hotel will happily route out on a GPS for you to borrow. Or, if you prefer, you can grab a bike from their fleet of top end Dura Ace equipped Treks. A few routes we recommend are as follows: 1. Quick afternoon ride: Saluda out and back (bombing down the hill at 40+ mph is quite the thrill) 2. Half day ride with lunch stop: Flat Rock via Pinnacle Mountain (several thousand feet of climbing and some great descents) 3. Pro level training ride: Hincapie Gran Fondo (80 miles and eight thousand plus feet of elevation. Eat your wheaties before you attempt this one...)

M Q.

Yelp
OUTSTANDING! Stayed at the hotel for a week. Did great rides, ate well and overall just enjoyed the lifestyle. The staff is top notch. They are helpful, friendly, and professional - from breakfast to bike prep (we rented Canyons from the hotel), to recommendations for lunch in the area, -the staff was always on it. The riding in this area is some of the best in the country. We live in SOCAL and routinely ride in Colorado but the Blue Ridge is a perfect area to challenge yourself - Great climbs, rolling hills and very little cars. I'm grew up in Asheville so I'm a bit biased but .... The rooms are well appointed, the food is outstanding (if I were a local I'd be at Paella Tuesdays every week), the pool is perfect - Hotel Dom has a great vibe. We'll be back as soon as we can. Congratulations to the Hincapie's - They have designed a gem!

Toured this hotel after having a delicious mothers day brunch at the restaurant. Beautiful decor and grounds but after encountering the woman in their reception area I would never stay there. I hope she is not related to the owner. Very unwelcoming.

Yelp
Gorgeous hotel and restaurant. Perfect setting for cyclist. Stopped in with the family for an afternoon coffee. Sorry to say that the staff was not very welcoming. We have stayed at luxury hotels where costumer service is a top priority. Hoping the staff will realize how important hospitality is for success.

Yelp
Where to start....our brief stay certainly was not like the others posted. We left because our room was full of bugs...ladybugs on the walls and windows and bed, moths, spiders, and flies. The windows did not have screens so that is likely the problem but whatever the cause, the result was disgusting and we left. Additionally, their restaurant was closed and my husband's bike wasn't ready and they couldn't even give us a time the next day that it would be ready. Don't bring heavy luggage because you have to carry it upstairs yourself. And make sure your cell phone is charged because there are no phones in the rooms. Overall a disgusting disappointment.

Yelp
My husband and I loved having our wedding at Hotel Domestique! The scenery was gorgeous...it felt like a destination wedding without having to go far from home! Jeff and Jody made all of our family and friends feel special, welcomed, and cared for. It seemed like they were always two steps ahead, anticipating and meeting our needs for the whole wedding weekend. The Hotel Domestique team thought of everything from rearranging furniture to offering up a glass of champagne to hanging clothes up in our guests' rooms. They really made the Hotel feel like our own home for the weekend, even moving our wedding centerpieces to the breakfast tables the next morning and putting adorable (and delicious) snacks out in the rooms each night. The food at the venue was incredible, as well! We appreciated collaborating with the chef and pastry chef to come up with a great menu for both our rehearsal dinner and reception. Lastly, Sarah, Brendan, and Nick helped me pull off a wonderful Cigar and Whiskey bar surprise for my husband to end the night. We would whole-heartedly recommend Hotel Domestique and look forward to continuing to visit this site for years to come!
