Hotel Domomea

Small boutique hotel (21 rooms). Nice room with lovely big bed and a very nice breakfast. Friendly helpful staff who were happy to arrange some honeymoon gifts in the room on arrival at my husband's request. A bit of a walk from the better beaches and a shorter walk (10 minute stroll) from the old town with fabulous shops and restaurants.

We chose this hotel because it is near the final stop for the bus from Porto Torres! It is pleasantly located and not too far from the old town and sea. About a fifteen minute walk. We had a very comfortable ground floor room with entry from the inner courtyard and outside sitting area. The first night was made uncomfortable because a guest had used the public toilet behind our room and caused the cistern to keep running. The noise in our room woke us and I then had to walk to reception at 3am to sort it out. This was fixed very quickly and the next two nights were very comfortable. Breakfast is very good with cheerful and helpful staff. There are seats in the courtyard and a roof deck with small swimming pool. Altogether a very good three night stay at Hotel Domomea. There is a very good pizza and pasta restaurant just around the corner called Il Pomodoro. They do well earned draft beer after walking around. This is followed by excellent food and wine for a very fair price. Together with the hotel these two made a very nice stay for us in Alghero! The hotel organised a taxi for our onward trip to Sassari and Cagliari on the train.

Great hotel with perfect service and location. We enjoyed our stay. Definitely we will back here. Fantastic atmosphere,rooms very clean, everyone helpful and kind, also very good breakfasts. Totally recommend!

A good budget hotel with great staff and breakfast in Alghero.. 10 min walk to Old Town; Good breakfast and comfortable rooms. Alghero is lovely; beautiful and friendly. The staff are superb.. parking slightly hit and miss.. in general v good; breakfast ladies great❤️

We arrived for two nights, excellent breakfast, excellent service, the rooms are clean and tidy. A few minutes' walk from the center. In August it is a bit difficult to find parking.

Nice hotel but very basic. Pretty far from the Old Town and waterfront area. Room was spacious but very basic. Very little lighting in the bathroom. The best part of the stay was the breakfast. Good value but not very convenient. Would recommend if you’re on a tight budget.

We stayed for seven nights and overall really enjoyed our stay mainly due to the pleasant, friendly and efficient staff (the charming Lizia at breakfast, Allesandra (housekeeping) and Alberto (Reception/Bar). The buffet style breakfast and service was very good (what a star Lizia is!), the hotel clean and accessible and about 15 min walk to the old town in a quiet safe area. We would definitely stay here again. Grazie Hotel Domomea and see you again.

This is not 5* super posh expensive hotel but it deserves a 5* rating for delivering everything it says it will deliver. |Great location 12 minute easy walk to old town and Harbour. |Spotlessly clean, excellent size room and bathroom. Everything works and is in the right place. That means power points, mirrors, toiletries, desk, lights etc. |Staff, incredibly helpful with good English and forgiving of our terrible Italian. Great restaurants also 10 - 15 minute walk. Felt safe. |Breakfast is really good. Plenty of fresh food. A juicer, good yogurt, cereals, nuts etc. scrambled eggs and bacon plus sweet treats. Amazing and with again great staff who remembered our likings for the whole stay. Thank you. Free parking very nearby is outside but no problem at all. The hotel has no guest laundry service and as we are traveling for 8 weeks we are always looking for it. But there is a self service laundry 100 meters down the road. Too easy.
