I had to stay here last minute after getting off my sailboat home due to an incoming hurricane. As a solo woman! They were available to accommodate! Incredible location, 1 block away from the beach, and 1 block away from the main action of Sosua. No shuttle and no credit cards, but the attentive service and care from Henri and the rest of the staff absolutely make up for it. Lovely Deutsche spoken throughout the restaurant, and the staff knows like 3 languages. Pretty impressive. Rooms are super clean and smell 1000 times better than living on a sailboat.

Nicest hotel I've stayed at in the DR. Chris and his wife are super hospitable. The grounds are clean, the pool is great the room is big, TV wonderful, king size bed very comfortable, walking distance to the town and the beach. Very quiet neighborhood, all the staff is friendly. Housekeepers do the best laundry around. Couldn't recommend it more highly! Keith Brown

Quiet, clean, comfortable. These are small apartments with separate bedrooms perfect for traveling together. Grounds are well maintained the staff is nice. It's very basic but this is a great value for the price. The location is super central walking distsnce to many places but tucked away enough to hide from the noise and the "happy" night life. Def recommend it.

My first impression when I was checking in wasn't very pleasant, it was fast and you could feel that the welcoming was void with no heart into what they were doing and they were just two entries they were processing at the time. They gave me the room key and everything and just said follow the map to get to your room, can you believe that? The gym it's called the Gym Box and that's exactly what it is a small box, it's really small place to call it a fitness center, if 3 or 4 people are there it's already crowded. The hotel's surroundings are beautiful the palm trees, the gardens, it's quite lovely. The clock tower which has no clock and the pool pass by gives a very nice view. The drinks were good nothing new, just the same drinks I have encountered in other hotels. The beach side was amazing, the beach was very clean without seaweed floating around and there are two sides of the beach you can swim, I prefer the right side. The food was good but it was all the same for the 3 days I was there, very Dominican with just a few things that were different, but the most part was all the same. I was disappointed with the restaurant "Á la carte" so much fuss about it and to make the reservation and all that, but for me was not worth it; meagre portions and they just want you to be quick about it. A few of the staff are very polite a kind to you, but for the most of them don't speak to them in English because they don't speak very well the language they're just trying to fend off their way around with the attention and the service the guests are requiring; if you want beer and water your good.

Stayed in the old section, which was like a 3 star hotel room, for 7 nights. It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad either - AC worked which is more than some guests could say. Always had lots of food, we never had any issues with bad food or food poisoning but everything was very basic and we avoid any veggies that weren't cooked or fruit that want peeled. Making a reservation for one of the specialty restaurants was difficult, everyone gives you different directions on how to make the reservation or who to give it to so we were only able to try the seafood restaurant which was very good but we would have liked to try the other 2 as well. There were plenty of drinks but they were made better at some bars than others. All in all just alright.

I stayed on Casa Marina on the week of Dec 9 to 16 my friend and I have a grey experience. The hotel was nice and clean, the housekeeping were great, the bartenders also was amazing, but the entertainment staff was the most amazing people. Luis ( the monkey😁) was an excellent entertainment person, he always trying his best to get everyone participate in the activities, very funny and kind guys. We hope to get back soon. However the staff who work at the front desk and restaurant wasn’t very nice.😢 always giving us a little actitud. But we miss the good staff friend that we made. Hopefully back soon☀️☀️🤽🏻‍♂️

Since the hurricanes in November 2017 they have updated their bars and the restaurant. The are in the middle of updating the rooms. About half done. I love this place and am there once a year. The staff is fantastic. The rooms are clean. The booze is free flowing. The food is good, standard resort food.

Hotel and view are beautiful. Most of the staff could care less of you were there. Food was not very good at the buffet. Don't waste your money taking any off resort trips, you'll spend 4 1/2 hrs on a bus. The upgraded features are very poorly explained, the whole resort was very poorly explained. Had zero idea when things were happening. I will never go back.
