Ok stayed in the don poncho from the 10 th to the 19 July . Check in was quick and people on the reception were professional and very friendly. The room was spotless and clean , view was amazing all sea facing balcony, which was large with chairs and foot stools. The cleaning was amazing all 9 days credit to them in such heat. Air conditioning was first class. I’ve heard of some people complaining about people smoking next door on balconies but I don’t smoke and it didn’t annoy me as car fumes from Main Street was far worse but this has nothing to do with hotel, bed very comfortable and large and room plenty of storage space, only downside is no usb points. We stayed bed and breakfast, great selection and staff very efficient and friendly. Now to the pool, opens at 8.45 with some people queueing from 8. I don’t know for what reason there is plenty of beds available at opening time, there is a pool attendant who works really hard but he did annoy me first day when he demanded room key which was not available as partner was in room just because we weren’t using hotel towels as this is our preference not to do so and is not a policy of hotel . He was a bit demanding but soon realised his mistake I know he was making sure we were guests but there is a way to approach this without a reaction which unfortunately he got. The other thing about the pool is a lot of people were getting sunbeds stacked 2 and 3 high to help them because of there obesity, but this left people having to wait for beds later on and some of which were elderly, I don’t think this is fair and shouldn’t happen there was reclining chairs available for these people which the pool attendant offered but were refused, I think a policy should be one bed to one person we all pay the same regardless of age and size. This was my only grip. To conclude a brilliant hotel easily the best in Benidorm by far, great staff and cleanliness, so much so we have rebooked for Easter and July next year. Thank you so much for a great holiday and see you all soon.

I was apprehensive to stay here after reading reviews stating it was for a certain age bracket - well that wasn’t true when I visited. There was a very varied age throughout the hotel and the atmosphere was lovely! Rooms were great, loved the view. The pool bar was a nice touch, very relaxing and great drinks. Stefan at the pool was also so attentive with all the sun loungers and parasols, a very nice guy. The food in the dining room had plenty of options and the staff there are so wonderful and friendly. Oh and the location is superb, right next to everything but feels like a little haven tucked away facing the sea. We will definitely return!

From the entrance to the end was fantastic, we were a family of 6 with my 2 grown up kids ( 20 and 22) and their partners |The standard rooms on the 16th floor were perfect. |The breakfast was amazing! |I can’t believe that a hotel right next to the strip is a quiet haven, we never heard a peep!

From check in the staff have been fantastic. The food is some of the best we have had at a hotel and service has been great. We have had no issues with getting sun beds every day and the option of using the app to order drinks to your lounger is great. We have requested a late check out room as we have a very late flight but we have to wait until the morning of check out to see if that is possible. We would definitely stay again if coming to Benidorm.

Lovely hotel with very comfortable and clean bedrooms. Staff extremely friendly and helpful particularly Raymond on reception. Food good and overall service by the staff excellent. Very special shout out to Stefan the pool attendant who worked tirelessly to make sure that I was adequately shaded in the very hot Benidorm sunshine. What that man doesn’t know about shade is not worth writing about. First class hotel and well worth the visit. 5 stars.

Our best stay in Benidorm. Comfortable room (and bed), exceptionally clean and friendly staff. The hotel was clean and well presented. Breakfast was the best we have ever had with a wide range of choices (lovely to have eggs cooked fresh). The pool was beautiful, clean and well managed. Even if there were no sun beds, somehow the pool attendant would find a couple and make space. Enjoyed having drinks service at the sunbed. |Don Pancho Hotel have thought of everything to make the holiday perfect. worth much more than the 4plus stars.

The hotel is beautiful and has great communal areas. The lobby has a fantastic, large, comfortable area which we really enjoyed. Entertainment in the upstairs lounge was also great. We went half board and really enjoyed the food . The restaurant was lovely and had a great ambience and the food was delicious and piping hot. I would say it is probably aimed at British travellers. For me I would say this is the best food I have had in a hotel in Benidorm. Drinks were great and reasonably priced. The main downside is the strict rules around the pool which we found a little oppressive and therefore didn’t feel as relaxed as we would like to have done. I popped to the toilet and my family member with me was asked where I was. We were also scolded for drinking water around the pool. Completely understand that soft drinks, alcohol etc should be bought but found it harsh that you couldn’t take bottled water when it is so hot. The alternative is to buy a small bottle for £2. We also saw on a few occasions people being told that if they drank their own water they would be escorted out of the hotel by security. We were also told by staff that cameras were watching us by the pool. Also, don’t expect to eat your ice cream or lays on your sun bed. I don’t think this is the fault of the staff around the pool, I got the impression that the staff had been directed by management. Unfortunately due to this issue I’m not sure I will return to this hotel as it felt very uncomfortable and have felt more relaxed at other hotels.

We booked this hotel because we wanted somewhere with a bit of wow (on a budget) to celebrate our 27th anniversary, it has the wow factor but that’s where the compliments ends.|At approximately 23:30 last night we got a knock on our room door asking us to turn down our music (bear in mind it was on just loud enough so we could hear it on our balcony) I apologised for any trouble I had caused them and swiftly turned it down (it was that low now my wife couldn’t hear it on the balcony so we came into the room).|Ten minutes later the manager and hotel security turned up and in no uncertain way told me if I didn’t turn it off we’d be removed immediately to which I did straight away and again apologised.|The following day we’d spent the day on the beach and called in the silver dollar for a cocktail slush to cool off at approximately 16:00 I received a call from the hotel basically telling me I had 1 hour to come back and clear my room as I wouldn’t be staying there another night, when I asked why they told me “because of my behaviour last night and the playing of music after a certain times I’d broken hotel rules, rules I didn’t know existed but when I questioned as to why, if that is the case why was I only asked to turn it down on their first visit to my room??|The response was that I’d been abrupt and my behaviour was extreme, I apologised on both occasions and tbh the second visit with hotel security made me feel threatened never mind them.|All in all what was supposed to be a good weekend with my wife turned into a nightmare, and to top off our embarrassment when we handed our room keys over they called security who wouldn’t let us leave the hotel reception until the manager had been up to check the room to see if we’d taken anything this was also in front of other guests staying there.|A nice hotel facilities wise but abhorrent management and staff, never again they should be embarrassed.
