Hotel Don Pancho

Just had aweek at Don pancho My husband and myself loved it. We came for 3 kings parade but due to heavy rain the parade was cancelled However even though the weather was bad there was plenty to do We went full board it was good to have the options the food was fantastic The hotel looked beautiful and decorated for christmas and looked amazing One afternoon we just relaxed and sat on the balcony and thst was fabulous as in January in the UK you would not be able to do that(too cold) We opted for a standard double i was so surprised a beautiful balcony with seats that reclined with excellent view over the pool and the sea in the background It was a lovely holiday and plenty to do in the hotel even on a rainy day

Had a lovey stay at the Don Pancho. |We were created by very friendly reception staff on our arrival and were informed that our room was ready. |We were on the 1st floor and although you could not fault the room I think it would be better to have a room higher up to appreciate the views more. |The restaurant had a lot to choose from and it was all presented very well and was lovely and hot. |The pool area was spotless and the pool bar was very relaxing sitting there have coffee or lunch with a few drinks. |The evening entertainment were very good and the bar staff were very attentive throughout the evening. |It was also easy to charge your drinks to your room using your room card or having the option to pay as you go. |This is definitely a hotel to return to. We went out one morning and came back to a beautifully decorated hotel ready for Christmas.

Amongst the best hotels we've stayed at and can see why it's classed as the No.1 Hotel in Benidorm. Food was excellent and varied, something for everyone. Entertainment was fantastic, everynight there was a selection of acts on to cater for all tastes.

Until the last day, I would have marked this December's week at the Don Pancho Hotel a Three, or maybe a Four, but on the last day, we had an early start and we were given a "Breakfast Box," which gave me severe diarrhoea, which I am suffering with now as I write this review.||There were some positives, so to be fair, I will list them in this review:||The decor, especially at the front was spectacular. It is tranquil, with well maintained Christmas decorations and plants, with calm Christmas music playing in the background and a Waterfall that flowed gently. There was Father Christmas and reindeer galore, colourful gift wrapped presents, elves, Christmas baubles in different shiny colours.|Even without the Christmas decor, it is spectacular with it's decorations, immaculate and luxurious, with plush sofas, expensive lamps and decor adorning the tables, without wear and tear tarnishing the image.|The rooms were well maintained, no scuffing or tarnished walls, peeling paint even in the bathroom.|The cleaning was immaculate, the towels were plush, we had sheets chained regularly and pillow cases changed every day. Good strong shower, with a decent view of the scenery and the distant sea, but there was a "Class System" as to who got the better views because there were seventeen floors and as We were Easy Jet customers we were given a modest view from the third floor. We were also assured by Easy Jet that our Package included a Safe, but we were told we had to pay extra for that privelage. The negatives were that it was on the main and very busy road and if you were used to a quiet night, you would not get one as cars drove up and down all through the night.|The variety of food was good and hot food was hot and cold food like salads were cold, sweets were fresh, Ice cream was hard and not slushy.|Entertainment had plenty of guest singers, but lacked variety because they all sang the same songs, so you could have two acts follow each other on the same night, sing the same song in their acts, but after a while, you yearned variety for Flemingo Dancers, Comedians and Magicians. There was only one original act that had fresh songs, comedy lyrics and background film and played good guitar to go with it.|I found staff blunt and very rude at times, especially bar staff. If you did not want to buy a drink, they would demand to see your key card to see your key card and would pester you continuously, making us feel uncomfortable through the night. Reception staff could be quite rude as well and at times it felt we were in a demand centre and not a four star hotel.|The most important thing is health and having as severe upset stomach to the point of having pain and discomfort for a long period of time is not worth all the entertainment, decor and scenery worth the price. I have been to Hotels a lot poorer in decor and Entertainment and even variety of dishes, I have come home without health issues. Finally you need to respect your guests not make them feel uncomfortable.|Andre G Arathoon

My third time here and perfect as always, staying half board for 7 days in a superior room. Cannot fault anything about the Don Pancho, all staff very friendly and helpful, meals were great, room was nice and modern with a truly brilliant walk in shower, I particularly liked the spacious south facing balcony with fully reclining chairs and foot rests. Evening entertainment was very good. I will be back in 2026!

This is a genuine review and we could honestly say it was a fabulous hotel. We booked a Premier room which has extras like bathrobe and slippers and little treats. A lovely welcome when we arrived from reception staff. The room was spotless as like the rest of the hotel, food excellent with plenty of choice. Would definitely say best hotel in Benidorm and we have stayed in many.

Just got back from the Don Pancho, fantastic hotel, great staff, superb location and here's the BUT we have nothing against children at all, we were all Mums on holiday and 2 being teachers. We spefically selected this hotel as it stated designed for adults, well, there were 2 x children staying at the hotel, playing absolutely like kids do. I queried this with the manager and was informed due to spanish law changing a few years ago they were unable to refuse children. Again, we have kids but they have never mentioned any of this on their website. If the law changed then update your website and reflect this change, advise that it is not solely an adults only hotel as this I am afraid is very misleading. We chose this hotel based on it stating" Designed for adults" for the first time in a very long time us 4 Mums wanted complete peace and no sound of children!! Apart from that we loved the hotel but please update your website with the Law change and state children are welcome...

We stayed at the Don Pancho for a few nights the weekend of the 10K run. The hotel was perfect for our needs - great location, friendly helpful staff, very clean and tidy, and a great buffet breakfast with loads of choice of food.||We booked as part of a short break package deal with flights and for what we paid it was very reasonable on price (not sure how much it would be if booked separately, as it is obviously aimed at the type of traveller who wants a higher quality and standards). We did notice that there were a lot of older (retired) people in the bar area on an evening - this might just have been the time of year, don't know - but the hotel is close enough to the strip and many other more lively bars if that is your type of thing. Its also just a few minutes walk from the sea front and about 20 mins to the old town, which is the best bit of Benidorm in our humble opinion !||Would definitely recommend the Don Pancho, especially if you are able to book it for a good deal price.
