Spent 5 nights here. Has its good points. Location is definitely one. Just 150m from the Main Street where everything is located. So you're very close, but just far enough away to be quiet. Rooms are quite small, but as a solo traveller they were fine for my needs. Bed was quite comfortable and linen clean. Nice grounds, the pool is really good. Didn't have a car, but there was plenty of off street parking. Check in and office staff were fine. |Downsides, you must head to the pool or breakfast room for any Wifi. Rooms are quite dated - shower worked just enough to get a decent wash. Thin walls, so if anyone was particularly noisy you would hear it. No soaps etc provided. Breakfast was pretty miserly and the breakfast staff didn't really seem interested. So it suited my needs perfectly, but it had it's obvious downsides.

The 5 of us - My best friend and his brother and two nephews from Antofagasta, Chile||||PROS||1. Good location to central area||2. Quiet and clean room (room sleeps 5 - queen bed, two single beds, and two bunk beds)||3. Clean pool and pool area, wifi zone there||3. OK breakfast considering the type of breakfast Chileans have ||4. Free parking on premises in enclosed yard||5. "Cheap" price considering this is pricey San Pedro de Atacama||||CONS||1. Had to repeatedly have staff re-stock breakfast items each day during our three day stay. They just disappeared to the kitchen to chat amongst each other- their priority!||2. Overall poor service, thus the AVERAGE rating here||3. WiFi (Free) ONLY in lobby area (small) and pool area.||||We would probably stay there again without expectations of much in the way of service. Remember, NO A/C, but there is some heating in the room. If in the summer, you will want to check to see how many windows in your room to check on air circulation.

Was a clean room. The bathroom was a little snug and a bit tired looking. Pillows are high and firmer than we were accustomed to. The staff are all very nice and try their best. Communication was a bit trickier as none spoke English. Google translate to the rescue! The breakfast was basic as per Chile ways, a bit harder for a vegetarian or vegan as breakfast options would decrease to bread and cookies.

Overall this hotel is overprice. The room are very small, we arrived and there was no towers, soap or shampoo in the room. We went back to réception and they gave us the towers and soap but no shampoo. For the price close to 88,000 clp per night you would expect shampoo and haïr dyer in each room. The room are not isolated and you can hear noises from the street all night (dogs and music)||The breakfast start at 7:30 or 8:00 depending which employee is opening that morning.||Most of the morning tour start before 7:30 and we could not get even à coffee before 7:30.||Positive point the hotel is located closed to main street with easy access to restaurants and shopping.||Also Jessica at the front desk was very helpfull and dedícated to help as much as she could.

The hotel is at a convenient location, very close to downtown. Room is decent size and clean. Decoration of the hotel is nice. But at night the room is cold even with the heater on. The heater is very old and with a smell of gas when it's on which is a bit concerning from a security point of view.

The room was basic and so small that two people cannot move at the same time. It is clean with a comfortable bed.||The pool was disgusting so cloudy we didn’t feel comfortable going in even though we were really hot from 32 degree weather||Breakfast is basic but sufficient||Staff tried to be helpful but had no concept how to communicate with non Spanish tourists. Finally resorted to google translate. ||Laundry service not available even though advertised.

We stayed for 2 nights and we are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids.|The room is large, the beds are comfortable, everything very clean.|We arrived almost at 10am and we could have the room, also we had the possibility of late check out (both without paying).|Staff is very friendly!|The breakfast is buffet and it's good!|The only setback I see is that you can only turn the heater on at 7pm and if you don't pay an extra (5000 CLP) they turn it off at 11pm.|In July the sun comes off at 6pm and an hour early you can start to feel the temperature falling down. We payed the extra and worth every penny!|If you travel in non winter time, you might enjoy the very nice swimming pool in the back.|The location is great! 2 blocks from the center where you have places to eat, rent bikes, hire tours, mini markets and to buy typical stuff.|I think the hotel is a great example of value for money. Would definitely recommend it!|

We booked this as a 3* Hotel not as a Hostal, which in fact headed up our booking form, so I was surprised I couldn't find this in Trip Advisor as Hotel Don Sebastian. We stayed 2 nights and I had anticipated the rooms were small so booked a triple to give more room.||||The room was clean and basic which again we were expecting, what we didn't expect was the complete indifference of the reception/concierge, which honestly was non-existent. Every time we asked for help or just a question we were sent off somewhere else as something wasn't working or they didn't know. We felt unwelcome and a little abandoned, especially as we left for an early flight at 5.30 am and our water in the bathroom had been switched off, we couldn't even use the loo. We used bottled water to clean our teeth. Reception was locked, there was no one around, we just left.||||The howling dogs will keep you up, it's not their fault and they are well-behaved in the town itself, it's just a fact of life, you will not escape it !||||The pool was very dirty when we arrived, however, they did start cleaning it up when they saw us sitting there.||||It's a very difficult situation, there has been flooding/bad rain in the last 6 weeks and it could be that the hotel has been badly affected so we don't mind about the basic furniture, rotting pool chairs, etc. I guess when you have a friendly, efficient concierge a lot can be forgiven, unfortunately, I just can't recommend this place based on convenient location alone!
