Hotel Don Simón

This hotel is in best location in budget. However it is lacking basic amenities like hair dryer, proper plugpoints and supply water. There is only one chair and table I the room, it can be atleast 2 chairs. Parking g facility is very good. Elevators are working as expected. I can say nice stay here with no view of mountains. Centro is very close ans easily accesable.

This hotel is located well, close to Toluca's "zocalo" (the city's main square). The facilities could use an upgrade overall. My room was very simple, and the carpet didn't smell well at all. Everything worked all right, especially the free wifi, the hot water, and the television, but not the phone. Breakfast is not included in the basic rate. Also, they said breakfast starts at 7AM, but the staff didn't arrive until 7:15, and the doors didn't open until past 7:30. It's also a la carte, and the options were slim. The staff were running around despite only having two tables to serve. The same thing happened during happy hour and dinner, although in all fairness the restaurant was busier. Both times I asked for the check, but it never came, so I had to get up and pay at the bar. Anyway, if you don't have high expectations, this hotel is fine, especially if you're on a budget. It's very inexpensive.

It is a small room with nothing special. The TV hasn't cable. In the morning I was sleeping and the service girl opened the room door and then when she realized that I was there she closed it. The toilet was flushing water constantly. I mean, it was not a bad experience, but, for the price, I think that you can get something better.

The location was good, the resturaunt was alright, the staff was friendly.. This is why I went 3 instead of lower. Other than that not a great stay. Got there at 2 tried to check in, they told me I had to wait an hour or pay more. Whatever I walked around for 3 hours and thankfully found a parking spot close by.. When I returned they still had issues finding a room but eventually found one. I then walked into a sweat box with the sun magnified through the large window. The room never seemed to cool off after the sun went down and I was sweating all night. No ac or fan and only a tiny opening in the window that did nothing but let in noise. Speaking of which I could hear everything in all surrounding rooms and hallway. Not subtle at all, very very clear opening/closing doors, cellphone conversations, snoring and whining kids Thankfully I brought earplugs, but unfortunately no fan which again made for bo sleep. The TV was fuzzy, and the internet spotty. Just not on par with a 3 star rated hotel. I had to book last minute and wish I had a chance to look into the reviews earlier.

If i could give zero stars i would. They charge 100 pesos for each extra towel u ask for. They watch u on the camera on who goes to your room, zero privacy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel.

the hotel its pretty basic not new but clean,nice beds,very comfortable pillows hot water,internet,the price its enough and you will not find something better at this price downtown Toluca,i have time too look and search better hotels when i come here,some of them are really not enough,some of them really expensive but this one cost $700 pesos ill not recomend theyre breakfast because its way too expensive example;pair of eggs 89,juice 30..theres another restaurant crossing the street call"el Huipil"for 80 pesos you have all coffee,natural juice,sweet bread and fruits you can eat..and a main dish like eggs,enchiladas etc.||I recomend this hotel because its downtown,cheap but good.

Hotel Don Simon, Toluca, Mexico||Room 309||10:00 PM||June 28th||One hairy bed.||||Maybe it was a bear the guest before me or two german shepherds during their honeymoon left the proof of their love, the truth is I had to rol over the bed sheets before resting my tired body.||||Be sure to bring a portable vaccum cleaner !

Perfect location. Clean room with amazing shower pressure and hot water. Highly recommended.
