Hotel Donana Blues

In amongst a residential development this is a cool, calm and fragrant oasis. Unlike other accommodation we had during our trip the pool being open at this time of year was welcome. ||Easy access to the beach and commercial centre, The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially when our schedule changed at the last minute. The room was a great size and the balcony enveloped by plants and flowers was a relaxing place to have breakfast ... and chill at the end of the day.

A charming little hotel near all the amenities of Matalascañas. Beautiful gardens and pool make for delightful surroundings. Each room has a little patio which was candlelit in the evening. The rooms are typically Spanish with good air-conditioning, spotlessly clean and everything you need. The shower in our bathroom was fine but the shower leaked a bit and needed replaced.|The owner Carmen was delightful and booked our trip to the park and was most helpful. I would certainly recommend this little gem as a base for exploring the Donaña area.

An absolute gem of a place. The rooms are super comfy and really clean, shower is great, hot and good pressure! The gardens are immaculate. the owners and staff are very friendly, and you can tell they are passionate about providing a beautiful experience. Little cute touches, like lighting a candle on the patio table every night. It made the return home every night so welcoming 🥰The pool is so refreshing and no chlorine! HIGHLY recommend! We had a garden room and it was perfect.

My family and I stayed here for 10 nights and had a fabulous holiday. We were part of a larger group and found the Donana Blues the perfect base for a family of 4. We had the family room which has a twin room adjoined which was perfect for our 11 and 13yo children. ||Because it is not a large hotel it has a more personal feel and the staff, Carmen and Sara in particular, were very attentive providing information and assistance whenever required. ||The hotel and rooms were very clean, and the gardens surrounding the property are a real treat to spend time in, with a lovely peaceful swimming pool to cool down when required. ||Located just a couple of minutes walk from the square with a multitude of bars and restaurants makes it the perfect location. ||In summary my family and I had a fabulous stay here and can’t recommend it enough… go book it now!||Rob (Glasgow)

This hotel had a very beautiful setting with a beautiful garden just like a typical Spanish villa. The little balcony in front of the room had beautiful flowers all around and candles that made it very romantic. The owners are very nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple but is a good price also. The room is a good size and the two double beds are ok. I found that the room was humid and felt cold because of the ceramic floor I guess.

Stayed here while visiting the Park Natural. Sea side town but quiet quirky hotel, no restaurant, but within walking distance of several. This is a typical Spanish town, they eat late so the restaurants open late.

Beautiful setting and beautiful gardens very clean candles on the verandas are lighted for you at night ambiance is perfect. Staff are very approachable and friendly will definitely return. Pool lovely and well kept very welcome relaxation. This hotel is a real little gem a great find.

If you like large dining halls with vast amounts of food, then a full selection of evening entertainment, plus large pools and queues, then this place is DEFINITELY not for you. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a well run, very clean, very well appointed but quiet and restful hotel, then this is where you want to be.||||From the moment you step in, you feel your stress melt away. A small hotel with no more than 20 rooms in a quiet area of Matalascañas, but yet just 100 metres from the busy town square and 150 from the beach, Doñana Blues is excellent for a beach holiday in this resort.||||The dining options are limited to a simple but well appointed and good quality breakfast. When you consider that one of the highlights of Matalascañas is its over 150 restaurants, bars and chiringuitos, then it is sensible of the hotel not to waste on a dining service no one will use!||||The rooms are cool and very clean, with very very comfortable beds, and excellent showers / bathroom facilities.||||The quietness allowed for a proper night's sleep adding to the relaxation!! The owners are always onsite, and attentive to your needs. There is the ability to contract a varied number of tours and attractions from reception (eg we booked a family horse riding tour of the dunes and beaches).||||All in all, a very good value for money stay compared to other, larger, hotels in the area. Will DEFINITELY be returning.

Very nice... Lots of foliage decorating the exterior, medium sized outdoor pool. If you are with car, drive 2 minutes to beach front parking. Rustic decoration which is very clean and so comfortable.
