Wonderful hotel, clean, comfortable and warm. Super comfy big beds. Quiet position within easy walk of all attractions. All rooms have balcony and pleasant views. Very good breakfasts. Plenty of parking (free when booked direct).

Visited off season. Great location for walking. Included breakfast buffet was good. Hotel is large and lovely. Indoor and outdoor pools are maintained. Covered parking 5 euros per day next to hotel. My favorite feature was the balcony overlooking the park and castle. I cannot remember if the view was an upgrade.

Location was great for Tomar! Quiet outside of the main area, but close enough to the city to be walkable. The lobby is stunning. The TV in our room didn't work and was placed far away from the bed with only one chair in a 2 person room. Not a huge issue though as most of our time was spent in town.

This beautiful hotel was built in 1950 and has the feel of yesterday’s glamour back in the day! Spacious rooms-ours overlooked the pool and had views of the river as a beautiful park is right at your doorstep! Luis Henriques worked at the front desk and greeted us with a smile and helped us in so many ways! We so appreciated him as well as the entire staff that made our stay so memorable! The location of this hotel is fantastic and the breakfast has several selections—the staff in the breakfast room was so helpful and did a wonderful job of taking care of everyone! We highly recommend Hotel dos Templarios!

We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend. We stopped at Tomar before heading to Lisbon and had a great time. Hotel had a great outdoor section, where we spent most of our afternoon swimming and drinking. Francisco at the lobby bar made the BEST drinks! Room was comfortable and had a nice view across the water. If we end up passing through Tomar again, we will definitely come back! Thanks for a great stay.

We had a large, very comfortable room with views over Tomar. Friendly, helpful staff, plenty of easy parking, and good facilities. Very easy walk to the convent and castle as well as the town-centre and restaurants. The hotel tends to attract tour groups, which made breakfast a little hectic, but overall a great stay. Recommended.

Nice hotel, clean. Employees are not happy & it shows. They had nerve to charge for an in room coffee pod. We had the best room, but it was raised & I fell twice during the night getting out of bed. Charged for parking also.

Francisco the bartender is great. If he offers the a special drink, take it, his cocktails are well crafted. The room was clean and well furnished. The breakfast was not worth it (even if it was included), the coffee was lack-luster compared to other local offerings. The gym has good cardio equipment, but the strength training is abysmal. The grounds are well kept, and it's a quick walk to the city centre. The room wifi was weak. The front desk staff was reasonably helpful. Overall would do again.

Yelp
Older hotel but well kept. Bed is very comfortable. Several pillows to choose from soft to firm. Towels are placed on a warmer. No coffee|Tea in the room. Beautiful landscape. Hotel has a pool. Conveniently located in city center.

Yelp
My wife and I were here with Gate1 tour. we've got mixed feelings about this hotel, though I rate the Hotel and Service a 4, but ... the buffet dinner - part of Gate1 - was absolutely the worst meal on our entire tour. Rice was cold, cod was tasteless, etc. Hotel is 10 minutes walk to town center. Breakfast buffet was good, but the usual normal buffets that hotels typically serve. What was interesting were the paintings of Knights Templar on the walls in the dining room. Room is good-sized, the lighting is very good, outlets are much better placed so I could sit up in bed and use my laptop while charging it. Only drawback is no water heater to make tea/coffee in the room. Service was normal, nothing exceptional.

Yelp
Older hotel and it shows, rooms have a unique layout in that the bedroom has its own separate door even though it's entirely unnecessary in my opinion. Room thermostat takes some maneuvering/troubleshooting to understand. General lobby/lounge area is quite spacious with lots of sitting and lounging space. There is live entertainment (piano music) in the evenings which is nice for gathering. Elevators are small/cramped and peculiar in that not all elevators take you to the first floor so it's puzzling at first. The location is ideal though for walking around and shopping though.

Yelp
I really don't remember the condition of our room since we barely spent any time there, and we did not dine on the premises. What we distinctly remember, and the reason we provided our 5-star rating, is their phenomenal pianist - Andre Vicente. Mr. Vicente's musical ability was fabulous and visitors who casually browsed the lobby and food entertainment area were stunned by his impressive performance. Who would ever expect a pianist at a hotel venue to receive standing applause from an unexpected audience! A stay at this hotel with the extraordinary pleasure of listening to pianist Andre Vicente would be a high point of your visit to Tomar.

Yelp
This hotel is old and the room I stayed in felt like a motel 6 in the 70's. The lounge in the lobby is okay and comfortable. My worst experience was dealing with the staff. They were very unfriendly. Being a paying-hotel-guest, this treatment caught me off guard. A young man waiter was rude and later that evening a man in his 30's dressed differently than the other staff yelled at my friend and I for entering the banquet room after dinner and returning for hot tea. People were still eating at the tables. It seemed that he was the manager of the food staff. I was there with a tour group of 40 people and was having a great experience at other hotels until we arrived at this one. Staying at this hotel was my only regret.

Yelp
The grounds, exterior and location of the this hotel are all wonderful. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the rooms, the food or the overall layout of the hotel. The grounds are stunningly gorgeous. It was too cool for us to enjoy the pool while we were there but it didn't stop us from snapping a group photo with the pools so we could remember the loveliness. There are some very pretty walking paths that we didn't get a chance to check out but looked really nice from our balcony. The exterior of the hotel is very inviting with waterfall sculpture to welcome you. The easy access to the town is a real bonus. We really took advantage and walked into town on multiple occasions. The rooms, however, are in much need of updating. The beds are not particularly comfortable, with old mattresses and bedding. Our rooms were located very far from the lobby and the walk was very long. There was an exterior door near our rooms but they kept it locked. It meant a really long walk every time we went outside and into town. Also, the bank of elevators near our rooms were out of service, making the trek even worse. (We ended up using the stairs most of the time - probably better for us anyway.) We had both a dinner and a breakfast here. Both were sub-par! The dinner in particular was poor. The hotel has great potential but could use some TLC. ur review helps others learn about great local businesses.
