Doupiani House offers a magnificent view of the Meteora — especially from the garden, which is just breathtaking. We received a very warm welcome, and the breakfast experience was one of the highlights of our stay. It’s served in an interior courtyard filled with trees and flowers, with a direct view of the rock formations — peaceful and beautiful. The breakfast itself is generous and full of homemade, local products. We especially loved the Greek yogurt with honey, and the variety of homemade jams. Everything was fresh and delicious. We truly enjoyed our time here!

Enjoy clean bathrooms, lovely rooms, excellent mattress, great sleep with a view of Meteora. This nice hotel is in the village of Kalambaka at the foot of the massive rocks on which is magical Meteora. Nice breakfast. You can't go wrong here.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Doupiani House. Eleni was so wonderful at reception, she gave us advice on where to go and what to do during our down time and we kept our bags at reception while we went into town at a local Taverna to get some food. Our room was probably one of the best in the area, with a balcony with great views of the legendary rock formations. Everything was comfortable, and we loved watching the sunset from the balcony. We did the Meteora sunset tour and morning hike, and the taxis/buses knew exactly when and where to pick us up. The only downside to the hotel is that since it isn't centrally located, you do have to walk (just 10 minutes though) into town for food. In addition, the touristy part is in a neighboring town. One of my favorite parts about the hotel was the breakfast (included). You could sit outside and enjoy unparalleled views while eating some nutritional yogurt, drinking coffee, and eating toast/fruit and more. I would stay here again!

This is a sad situation. Make sure all goes well. We booked back in 2024 with friends I wanted a different room, so cancelled then rebooked my reservation, as it would not allow me to change my room unless I cancelled first. Did not see it changed cancellation policy.. The day before we were suppose to leave there was a tragedy , a death. Now we had to cancel entire trip. My friend was able to cancel as she had old reservations. I called April 27th immediately when I got news explaining a death caused us to cancel trip. That was 10 ten days ahead. They said no exceptions to their policy. We were being charged. It was by 3 days we were too late.. I feel that they could have been more receptive to a sad situation . I even asked that we were coming in future, could we please work something out. They refused. I understand certain rules, but these people have no heart and they had plenty of notice. This is a family owned business, I am very disappointed and would not ever do this to anyone with such a tragedy.

Excellent family-run hotel with a stunning view on Meteoras. The rooms are a bit small, but well and fully equipped. The hotel is a few minutes away from the town and is very calm. Plenty of free parking space is available in the back of the hotel. You can have a very tasty breakfast made of local produce on the hotel terrace in front of the outstanding Meteora site. We received a very warm welcome and a lot of help to organize our visits.

I booked this hotel a few days beforehand, however Greece had a snap 24-hr national strike on 9th April that took out all transport and the airports had to close. We could not fly into the country so I let them know that we couldn't arrive but we didn't receive a reply back and instead were classified as a "No Show" and this hotel took full payment off my credit card. A ruined holiday in Greece, and this is the only hotel who decided to grab our money due to their 14-day policy. No leniency, as we were obviously not at fault. Go elsewhere as these people aren't interested in customer care or goodwill.

A bad experience with Hotel Doupiani. When we made the reservation we accidentally reserved the wrong dates (booking site not clear) and we only realised after we received the email confirmation. We immediately called the hotel to change the dates, but the hotel refused and insisted on charging us 50% for the two rooms we reserved for two nights. This is ridiculous because we literally tried to modify the dates of the reservation less than 5 minutes after the reservation was made! Not only was this a bad experience, but the worst was the inflexible, uncaring and even aggressive attitude of the woman at reception (we didn't get her name) with whom we spoke.
