A cute & traditional hotel in an old building. Smiling, welcoming staff who upgraded our room in the same price. Room is bigger than normal in European hotels. Neat room with a window, entirely clean bathroom. Fridge and water bottles in the room. I liked it so much, and would love to stay again.

This is an historic hotel, in chur, which exists since 1793 ... so we were not expecting a modern hotel (althoug the rooms seemed to have been recently renewd); anyway, the bathroom inside the room is too small and the bed's mattress (because it was two soft) became quite unconfortable, with unexpected outside street noise being heard through the window; but the house keeping service was good, and all together being taken into consideration, ends up with a fair to good appreciation.|

The hotel is a bit hard to find as it's nestled in an older section of town. Google Maps Street View does not work in the area around the hotel too. The room was quite spacious and featured a large double bed and double sink. There was also a fridge and a small table. I can't recall if the room had A/C controls, but it has a large opening window. The shared toilet and shower was an interesting concept, but they were both clean. It was a bit annoying to have to walk down the hall to use the facilities though. The weird thing about the shower room is that the window (that is frosted) opens onto a patio.

We chose this hotel as we were trying to stick to a budget, and this fitted in nicely. Slightly worried that the accommodation is made for a budget traveller as we like to splash out on our hotels……however we needn’t have worried!||Sure enough, this is no 5* hotel however it is located extremely conveniently in the old town right next to all the things you would want to visit…..with excellent views of the snow capped Alps. The reception team were courteous, gave us all the sufficient information we needed and allowed us to store our luggage whilst we waited for our room to be ready. Once in the room, it was actually very large with two single beds next to each other. Crisp white sheets and a softer than I would have liked mattress, but comfortable nonetheless. Plenty of storage space, little biscuits placed on our pillows and plenty of warm heat coming from the radiators. Separate bathroom which had plenty of hot water, not the strongest of pressure coming out but adequate. The reception team are on hand until 2200pm, but they give you a key to access the hotel once they lock the doors. The room was pretty sound proof, but you could hear others guests in the hallway which wasn’t really bothersome. The lift is very small but fitted two people in plus luggage, but there are stairs up to reception so that part isn’t very accessible if you can’t do stairs.||The hotel is only 7 minute walk to the train station which was super convenient for catching our 0828am Bernina Express train!||Overall a very nice stay!||One word of warning - check your booking includes en-suite bathroom, not all rooms have en-suite.

I would describe it as a good hotel for a one-night stay – the conditions are basic, you have everything you need, it's clean, but it looks somewhat old. I admit that the strangest thing was the sink, which was in the middle of the room :D. I booked a room for one night since we were traveling with the Bernina Express from Tirano to Chur and back.

We stayed overnight to take the Bernina Express from Chur to Milan. However, we wished we stayed longer for the hotel was pristine and centrally located within walking distance to the train station, shops, restaurants, and groceries. The view from our room was awesome, the Swiss alps were breathtaking and picturesque!||Receptionists were hospitable and helpful. ||Our room was a triple with lots of space for our belongings. The bathroom was clean supplied with towels and toiletries. I highly recommend to is hotel.

Bit small, but other than that everything is fine, big enough shower, good food, nice view, etc. The elevator is small and the bathroom sink isnt in the bathroom.

Perfect location a very short walk from the train station. Efficient service and clean room at a very good price. The location was the real winner. Everything was located right outside the front door. Only a five minute walk to the train station to catch the Bernina express or other train routes.
