Service was dreadful. We stayed two nights. Night one we had a turn down service, Night two no turn down service. I could have lived with such inconsistencies however food service was appalling. Dinner on Night One. There was no soup, no naan breads and no replenishment of the buffet, nobody offered us a drinks service from the bar. Breakfast on both mornings at 8am (and considering the breakfast was open from 7am to 10am) was dreadful. No yoghurt, no porridge, hardly any hot foods. On morning two I went to the reception to complain as the buffet was empty and the three staff working on breakfast kept opening the containers, could see they were empty and did nothing about it. After I complained, the chef appeared, checked everything over and reappeared about 10 minutes later with a small quantity of porridge and a small bowl of baked beans. By which time we had to leave. On the second morning my wifes breakfast consisted of a piece of toast (the last piece of bread) and the last scrapings of baked beans). I had two pieces of toast. Truly unacceptable. Having complained I would have at least thought someone from management would have come to talk to me. I can honestly say if I hadn’t paid already for this hotel through our travel company I would have refused to pay or at least expected a huge discount.
