Hotel Druk offers stylish rooms in a prime Thimphu spot, featuring an acclaimed restaurant, a cozy bar, and easy access to local dining and attractions.
Classic Bhutanese architecture of the hotel building and rooms. Extremely beautiful! It was my first time in Bhutan and did not know what to expect. The staff team was very pleasant. The location is excellent. It is in the center of the town. There are all shorts of shops, restaurants around the hotel. The hotel itself serves good food.

Lovely friendly hotel with a GREAT BAR and food. The pictures online don't do it justice. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Loved it. It's situated right in town and the views from the balconies out the back are beautiful. The rooms are a good size and nice and clean. It exceeded expectations.

The main positive recommending this hotel is its location in the middle of Thimphu. I had no control over the choice of this hotel as I was on a group tour. Otherwise, it is very old and badly needs updating. Although the hotel has wifi, it is inconsistent. Light switches were very hard to figure out. The carpets are worn, “closets” are bare bones, public areas are ok, but dining room has very uncomfortable wooden chairs more appropriate to a monastery. No hair dryer or refrigerator. The room safe was locked when I arrived and when housekeeping came to unlock it, it appeared that the security of the safe was questionable; a disclaimer on top was not reassuring. |Although there is apparently a room cooling and ventilation system, it doesn’t work. The windows are old and not airtight. Room smelled musty. Some of my traveling companions complained of noisy barking dogs all night, though fortunately my room was not facing the main town square.|, |Staff were uniformly unfriendly and quite unhelpful; I felt that asking for something - more drinking water, hair dryer, etc. was putting them out. Food at the hotel restaurant is typical Bhutanese and unremarkable.

To start with the positives, the staff were very attentive, the central location is good for exploring the city and the hotel was clean. Our room, 226, was not the best - the door locking didn’t work properly, we were short of towel rails and towels, but worst, in the early hours of the morning we could hear the deep bass sounds of music, motorbikes roared past and a dog barked. We complained and had the next night in a basement suite which was perfectly quiet. |The dinner and breakfast for the half-board guests was served in a conference room on our second night. This was a big comedown from the service in the restaurant, mainly because the service was chaotic and food wasn’t hot, all in a poor setting.|There are plenty of hotels in central Thimpu, they’re all busy, but we would check other ones out.

The service was excellent. The rooms were extremely comfortable. Food was very good.||Convenient location. Walk around the area if you have time. Directly across from a large sporting complex, which includes an archery range, where locals come at the end of the day to practice the national sport.
