Hotel Druk Thimphu Bhutan

I stayed with my family in Hotel Druk, Thimphu on 26th & 27th Sept,'25 and had a most wonderful stay there. The location is excellent with the hotel front very close to the so called mall road of Thimphu and the back facing the football stadium. The room I was given on the first floor was very spacious and comfortable, nicely done up and very clean. So was the bathroom. |The buffet breakfast had a wide choice even for vegetarians and the dinner too was sumptuous. One of the main chefs is an Indian.|The staff is vey professional and Mr Ugen Dorji, GM of the hotel could be seen engaging with the guests to make them comfortable. The hotel had very good occupancy with guests from various nationalities. |All in all a very good choice for staying at Thimphu.

The Druk Hotel was excellent, including their staff! Our 2 night stay was very cozy and comfortable. The room we had was exceptionally large and did not lack any amenities. The hotel's older architecture (with a blend of some very modern areas) was very pleasing to the eyes. After our day out, we always looked forward to returning to the Druk! The entire staff (front desk, restaurant, housekeeping) was very pleasant and ensured all our needs were met. If we return to Thimpu in future, Druk Hotel is the only place we'd stay!

A lovely hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. More importantly the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The barman was especially so. We stayed half board and the buffet breakfast and supper accommodated both of our tastes. I would whole heartedly recommend it.

An amazing property in the heart of Thimph city and adjacent to the clock tower and located close to the main market. Though looks old with contemporary designs and aesthetics, care has been taken to combine with modern technology. Staffs are courteous and accomodating and eager to serve you on time with grace. The restaurant and bar have wide range of food and wine to choose from and serve most of the popular Indian dishes. Highly recommended for staying here be it a business trip or leisure trip.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is lovely and the service friendly. The rooms are very spacious. |Unfortunately it is in a noisy section of the city and we sleep poorly due to surround Karaoke and people yelling /singing after a night of partying.

Classic Bhutanese architecture of the hotel building and rooms. Extremely beautiful! It was my first time in Bhutan and did not know what to expect. The staff team was very pleasant. The location is excellent. It is in the center of the town. There are all shorts of shops, restaurants around the hotel. The hotel itself serves good food.

I’m disappointed. To be honest I wasn’t expecting all that much from the hotels but no hot water, no spare toilet rolls, TV broken, very average food and noisy when other peoples showers were running made my 1 night stay uncomfortable. I won’t recommend this hotel but the staff are lovely and Bhutan is wonderful.

Great stay at the Druk, Thimphu. The rooms were quite spacious, F&B options included Indian veg and the staff were wonderful.
