2018 Readers' Choice Awards: The Top Hotels in Paris

"Over in Paris's tony eighth arrondissement, the Art Deco-style L'Hôtel du Collectionneur is a welcome departure from some of the city's softer, more obvious Belle Epoque lodgings—just take a glance at the gold leaf and black marble fanning the lobby, or the sumptuous purple velvet chairs lining its restaurant, for confirmation of the difference. The theme extends to the 478 rooms and suites, too—think Art Deco prints tacked up on the walls, and swirling, patterned bedskirts (bonus: a fraction of rooms also feature private terraces, and the occasional view of the Eiffel Tower). But best of all, visitors can amble around Parc Monceau, just across the street. It may not be as famous as its cousins, the Tuileries, or Jardin du Luxembourg, but it's equally beautiful—and far less crowded." - CNT Editors

Excellent hotel, great location, beautiful big rooms and facilities. Super friendly staff (except reception). I would definitely recommend this to friends. Everything works!!! Also has a very diverse international crowd from all ages and nationalities which is nice to see. The only improvement is the buffet breakfast, I understand the appeal for families but needs a little bit more sophisticated items such as eggs benedict. But overall, I know where to stay now in Paris and this will be my go to place.

I was warmly welcomed and everyone I encountered was pleasant and helpful. Someone actually checked in on me after I got into my room and I was able to express what I needed. A new magnifying mirror and an electrician installed it immediately. I was brought additional hangers, etc. The breakfast was good. Yohann was outstanding! He was so pleasant, accommodating and attentive. He made a beautiful latte.

Stayed at this hotel as an extension of a Viking cruise. It was a lovely hotel and close to a lot of scenic locations and the train in metro stations. The breakfast buffet included in the room was very delicious and had a lot of options for all types of appetites. We ate at the hotel bar for dinner and had a great hamburger.

We stayed here for three nights après cruise. It was a very good stay. The location is close to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Élysées. Access to metro lines one and two and that gets you to the Louvre and many places. There are several good restaurants in the neighborhood. I never tried the hotel restaurant except for the breakfast buffet every morning. The hotel itself is very nice and staff was helpful. We had a bath tub with a half glass and a shower, I would ask for a walk-in shower next time. No negatives here really, one plumbing problem that was quickly fixed. It was quite busy. Elevators were not too bad but one was not working. Definitely would stay here again.

Charming Stay in the Heart of Paris I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel du Collectionneur, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect—just a short walk from major landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Seine, yet tucked away on a quiet, charming street that offered a peaceful retreat from the city's bustle. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive from the moment I arrived. They spoke excellent English, provided great local recommendations, and made me feel at home throughout my stay. My room was beautifully decorated in a classic Parisian style—cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed. I especially appreciated the prompt response to our request for a room change due to a few bugs. A special thanks to Christophe, the Deputy Duty Manager, for not only accommodating us with a better room but also going the extra mile by sending a lovely treat to help us celebrate our anniversary. It made our stay truly memorable. Breakfast was delightful, with fresh pastries, fruit, and excellent coffee. Overall, this hotel is a gem for anyone looking to experience the magic of Paris with comfort, charm, and exceptional hospitality. I would happily return and recommend it to friends and family.

Google
If you’re looking for rest, comfort, look elsewhere. I wouldn’t stay here again if it were free. I specifically asked for and was promised a quiet room — instead, I ended up in what felt like the middle of a construction site. Constant noise, banging, pumps running and absolutely no sound insulation. Loud noises all night. Sleeping was nearly impossible. Comfort clearly isn’t a priority here. I will say the breakfast is good and starts at 6:30. The desk is helpful but if I can’t sleep because of the loud noise then I really can’t stay here. You can find a lot better hotels a lot cheaper in Paris.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel du Collectionneur in Paris. The staff were truly exemplary—friendly, professional, and always eager to help, which made a big difference in our experience. The location was fantastic, offering easy access to key sights and a lovely neighborhood feel. The buffet breakfast was a highlight, with a wide variety of options that pleased everyone in the family—from fresh pastries and fruit to hot dishes and specialty items. The only downside was that our room faced the courtyard area, and there were events happening during our stay that made it quite noisy late into the night—sometimes until 3am. It’s something to be aware of if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, a great hotel with excellent service—we’d definitely consider staying again, perhaps in a room away from the courtyard next time.

Google
Over all just a sunning Hotel. We are there for 3 nights. Breakfast amazing! Concierge service 5 out of 5. Bar service outstanding and Jewel was fantastic. Only complaint is we understand we arrived early. We’re told our room would be ready for 4:00. Been advised to check in the afternoon, there might be a chance room will be ready. We were told countless times 30 more minutes. Finally got our keys to the room at 3:50 pm. We’re told our bags would be put in the room. Went for one more drink at the bar. When we got to our room at 4:47 pm our bags were still not there. Had to call down to the desk. Being in customer service for years you should under promise and over deliver. Would have been better just to tell us to go out for the day. Being told just another 30 minutes 4 times by 3 different staff was a bit frustrating.

Yelp
11/9/23 We stayed for several days as part of a pre tour to our Viking River Cruise. Had a charming lovely quiet room. Not exactly much of a view from the 3rd floor but very comfortable. We had the included help yourself breakfast options and the selection of items was amazing. It included chef made omelets, and everything we chose for the mornings we were there was terrific. The location was wonderful for us, within nice walks of the Arch, nice shopping, fun little casual restaurants where we had, and 2 of the museums we planned to visit. I cannot say the same of its bar though. Our visit one evening was shorter than we expected. The bartender was unwelcoming, so we left as soon as we finished our drinks. This was the only place in Paris where this happened. Perhaps there is a new bartender by now!

Yelp
I probably wouldn't stay here again since there are so many choices in France. The location was A+. Close to everything and the staff were VERY nice. Beds were comfy and it was mostly clean. That's the good stuff. When we checked in we had three rooms (all booked through Costco travel) one room had to be switched after my daughters went in and there was a bed that looked like it had been slept in and a water half drank. Strange and a pain in the butt getting a second room after 12 hours on a plane. We got the new room and then the other room had key issues. They kept not working and it wasn't a de magneto situation. We came back early after walking at Disneyland all day specifically early because the jacuzzi closes at 7pm. Well they decided it closed earlier for no reason. I think they're understaffed - the manager was nice but did nothing. The restaurant attached Savag had maybe the best rock shrimp app I ever had, but then no food for 1:15 min. They said they forgot! They didn't charge me for drinks but still the food after sucked and it was pretty $$.

Yelp
Do not make the mistake of staying here. I have never experienced as many problems or such disrespect as I have at this hotel. I arrived after an 11 hour flight and checked into the hotel. I was wearing a hat common in North Africa, and as I was walking to my room, a worker called Robin spoke in French to his collègue about me. He said "he thinks he's in his own country wearing that hat". I have dark skin and I knew his comment was racially motivated. I walked back and asked him what he meant, to which he nervously lied and said he didn't say anything. I had another person with me who also heard this. We were both in shock. I went to my room and called the manager Agatha. Agatha apologized and said it was a misunderstanding. She gave a complimentary gift and said she would write a report. I thought that the issue was over and tried to enjoy the rest of my time here. I didn't expect to have any more problems. The next day as I was waiting for the elevator, Robin, the guy who had talked about me behind my back not realizing I understood French, came up to me and asked what I was doing on my phone. He approached me very hostile and I was confused. I told him I don't know what you mean, and then I asked what his problem with me is. I have no idea why he asked me what I'm doing on my phone. It is none of his business to bother guests, especially one who he has had problems with. Many other guests were watching and it felt very inappropriate. I asked what he wanted and he said he wanted to say that yesterday was a misunderstanding. I told him that the only misunderstanding was that he was overheard by the guest, and I told him he shouldn't speak about anyone like this. Other guests were looking at us, and I kept asking Robin to please leave me alone. He persisted in bothering me and started to speak very hostile to me. I told him he shouldn't have a job if this is how he treats guests. He laughed sarcastically and I kept asking him to leave me alone. Robin started to say he "wants to apologize" and I said okay you can apologize by saying sorry. He didn't. After much back and forth, I removed myself from the toxic situation and told him I didn't have time to speak to him. I honestly think there is something wrong with him. I'm simply a guest and on two separate occasions he humiliated and disrespected me. I am disappointed that the hotel employs such a person. I checked out of the hotel early because of this experience. I don't think anyone should go to this hotel, especially after the disturbing racial comments and hostile workers. Besides the above, the hotel breakfast was subpar and the gym didn't have proper ventilation or air conditioning. Rooms are surprisingly outdated with old carpets and curtains that aren't even properly hung. The employees also speak very loud in the hallways. I opened the door in the morning twice to ask them to not speak too loud. The lobby looks nice and that's about it. I don't know how a hotel can say they have 5 stars. It's maybe 2 stars at best.

Margery L.

Yelp
The staff tried but the hotel is worn. The Airconditioning is out. We stayed one night and left. We saw 2 others leaving immediately after seeing their rooms. Before staying ask if the Airconditioning has been replaced. It appears this will be an ongoing problem until that happens. The continental breakfast was nice. No restaurant for other meals. Very dark rooms. They will bring in a light. This is not a 5 star hotel.

Yelp
So this is a Very very ok hotel. For me the hotel experience is very important and will make or break the vacation. There were a bunch of little things that added up to make this hotel mediocre. Location was fine but not great. It was a bit of a walk to the metro and we ended up mostly taking Uber. There are a couple restaurants on the street and more within about a 10-15 minute walk. The hotel has an unappealing perfume smell in the lobby that wafted outside. The hotel was recently renovated they said. It's got a weird dark art deco style that reminded me of bad hotels in Vegas. The housekeeping was top notch. Kudos to the housekeepers! The front desk took twenty minutes to check us in but didn't tell us how to turn on the room lights or what buttons to push in the room to communicate we were ready for the room to be cleaned. No fans in the bathrooms. Two elevators were intermittently out during our four day stay. The door guy was always standing at the door but never let us in, just propped the door open. Could never reach the hotel concierge by phone even though there were often two people working it who weren't helping customers. The rooms were small by American standards but so is all of Europe so can't criticize for that. The breakfast buffet was good- it had an omelet station, meats, cheeses, pastries, cereals, juices and coffee and some of the best fruits ever. The gluten free breads (there were three) were really bad-dry and tasteless. I sound like a whining Karen, I know, but we paid a lot for this hotel and I expected better, especially after the incredible experience I had just had at St Ermin's hotel in London the day before, which was a very tough act to follow.

Yelp
I definitely wouldn't say five stars but it's descent enough for four. The lobby is super charming. It smells so nice and there are beautiful decorations and flower arrangements. Checking in was a breeze. I let them know beforehand we would be arriving around 8am and to our complete surprise we were actually able to get into our room that early. We had expected to just drop our bags with the concierge and go out till check in. It was so so so amazing that we could get in our room and get a nap. Big time plus for us! The room: the room was nice enough except it was very dusty and some of the bathroom lights didn't work a lot of our stay. We didn't complain but maybe we should have said something. We received bottled water each day and the beds were so comfy to climb in at the end of each day. The maids kept the room nice and tidy. The room stayed nice and dark all night and it was pretty quiet for being on a busy street. Breakfast: we had breakfast included with our stay but only went 2 of the 4 days. It was alright and had more than most hotels would. There was a wide variety of breads, cheeses, meats, veggies, fruits, yogurts, omelets, pancakes, crepes, eggs and more. There were fresh squeezed juices and cappuccinos and hot chocolate. The hotel is within walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe and even the Eiffel Tower. It took about 45 minutes to the Eiffel Tower. We also caught Uber right out front if we needed to go farther. The majority of everything at this hotel made our stay very enjoyable. I wound stay again!

Yelp
Pros: - location is great. It's walking distance to everything. -cute windows that open up in the rooms. Cons: -we arrived at the hotel after flying for 12 hours, arriving around 11:00 AM. They told us that our room wouldn't be ready until 3:00, but they'll call us when it's ready. Fast forward to sitting in their lobby for a couple of hours and waiting for a call. Around 3:30, we checked with the front desk and they said our room was ready. We were sitting in front of the desk for hours falling asleep waiting for them to call or walk up to us. -it's more of a business hotel, had events almost everyday, which meant a lot of people in the lobby. -the food is overpriced - $45 for a burger for room service? -the fridge in the room was bolted shut. They said they would send someone to fix it and nobody ever showed up. -the breakfast buffet was the same exact food, everyday. And they were always running out of food, coffee, milk, etc. and you would need to ask many times for them to refill any of it. -we sat at the bar for about 20 minutes waiting for a bartender to say hi to us. We had three bartenders in front of us at the bar doing something and they didn't say a word to us. We were also the only ones sitting at the bar. We walked away without a word from anyone. We were on our honeymoon and didn't feel welcomed at all, didn't even hear a "congratulations" once during our stay. You can't beat the location, but I don't recommend this hotel to anyone really.

Yelp
Gioachino Rossini would not have scorned sitting at this table that completes the elegant hotel Le Collectionneur. He who highlighted in the most beautiful way the myth of "The thieving magpie", and who was an amateur of good food, would surely have enjoyed seeing the two concepts of the diverse but harmonious collection get married at this modern and bright setting. Under the leadership of Joël Veyssiere and Nicolas Hamelin, this evening Vincent Legaré welcomes us for this dinner between kitchen and dining room. And like the magpie, I went to steal some pictures about the work done for our beautiful plates. It all starts with a piece of Wagyu marinated in a soy sauce, simply pan cooked and quickly burned. We obtain by this "The Fortunate Deception" a flesh that is self-sufficient in texture and taste. It can be almost cut out with the fork and any seasoning would be superfluous. Tenderness, melting and strenght, everything is there. What comes next is the "The Marriage contest" since they are in fact two entries cumulated in one, with crispy prawns and excellent salmon confit. "The touchstone" is probably sea bream sashimi, yuzu lemon glaze, wasabi sesame cream, daikon pickles and rice chips. Some young shoots of lemon cress come to support with their lemon-anise taste accompaniment. Octopus with perfect cooking where the kaffir lemon vinaigrette and the tangy guacamole with passion fruit come to tickle the maritime taste. Only quinoa forms an "The curious Misunderstanding" by its somewhat rustic presentation. After discussion, we were told that the presentation of the dish was currently in reflection. So the best is in perspective. We return to much more classic flavors with shoulder lamb confit dumplings smoked eggplant caviar. Like "Goodness triumphant", the superbly shiny Baba Alexander wins in its cocktail glass for our home run. But as "Opportunity makes a thief", it is shameless that I also raid on succullent candied figs. We can only think that with La Tour d'Argent or The Golden House, Le Collectionneur could have been part of the Maestro canteens. Moreover, despite my apprehension for decorations a little too modern, I admit to having been seduced by a beautiful contemporary room. First of all a superb bar and especially a ceiling with elegant waves that carry you like a melody.

Yelp
Oh Paris... L'Hotel du Collectionneur is a beautiful hotel in Paris, France. It has an historic French feel that is all modern with high technology & luxurious accommodations. Customer service leaves much to be desired, which is quite odd, as the price per night more than reflects it's boasted 5-stars ratings. Cheerful & eager customer service isn't included in any of those 5 stars! Nonetheless, the food in their hotel is spectacular, after all, I came for the food. We had their breakfast buffet, all you can eat, every morning during our stay in Paris. They offered us the best Paris had to offer, all local and fresh. Mineralized fizzy Evian water, freshly pressed fruit juices, a gigantic expresso/coffee bar you can have fun making yourself, or ask your waiter to serve you. There is a crepe and an omelette station, fruit & yogurt bar, as well as a salad bar, alongside your normal sweets, pastries, sausages & assorted breakfast items, bacon, potatoes, boiled eggs, amazing smoked salmon, hams & cheeses, and so much more!

Yelp
Okay, I wish to start by saying that the hotel itself is seeing some wear. The hallways have plenty of scuffs and scratches on the walls. The artwork is not always straight. The furnishings have seen better days. We even had cobwebs in our room. You must be asking why I still managed to give this hotel 5 stars. One word... service. The service delivered at this hotel is world class. No matter the language barrier, every single staff member was kind enough to communicate with us in English; each one with a smile and kindness in their voice and manner. The breakfasts each day were scrumptious and satisfying. Every accommodation requested was met and exceeded. Several days of our 7 day stay, we received treats in our room... from bottles of nectar to delicious caramels. The location is also very desirable from a Parisian's point of view. One of our tour guides informed us that the hotel was located in a very posh area of town, where only the very wealthy of Paris live. It was not, however, in close proximity to the sites of the city. To walk to the Champs Elysees took about 10 minutes. There was a metro line not far away, though, if you wished to travel by train everywhere you went. During out stay, the city shut down twice; once for a holiday and another for a political rally. Each of these days, the metro closed. This made getting around the city very difficult (certainly not the hotel's fault). Due to this fact, we had to walk miles each of these days to enjoy the city. A hotel closer to the city center would have made life a touch easier. Again, though, the service at the hotel more than made up for the 1.5 mile walk to our destinations. If I had to give separate ratings based on cleanliness, service and convenience... on a scale of 1 to 5 stars... I would say: cleanliness - 3 stars, service - 5+ stars, and convenience 3 stars.

Yelp
This hotel checks all the right boxes. -Superb breakfast -Delightful staff in every department -Impeccable property -Comfortable rooms We never had to wait more than 3 minutes for a cab. I still dream about the breakfast they serve to this day. Being tourists we had many questions about places of interest, directions, planning, etc and the staff was SO helpful. I almost forgot the complimentary happy hour! This was fantastic with beer, wine, and appetizers. It was nice because it was rainy one night and we didn't want to walk anywhere. We met people from around the world there and it was such a pleasant experience. It blows our second hotel out of the water. If I ever get the chance to return to Paris, 100% I will stay here.

Yelp
A great looking hotel with not so great customer Service. The location of the hotel is great but truly you have to speak French to get good service. I would recommend this hotel for its good location only.

Yelp
Very typical tourist hotel. It smells very strongly of rose perfume or some other old lady scent. It's very outdated. Super disappointed but at least it was quite and had a semi comfortable bed (except for the crappy pillows). The breakfast was awful so if they charge you extra, do not pay for it. I don't think I'll ever go back to Paris, but if I do, I'll not stay here. Sad to give bad review because the staff was super nice but...

Yelp
What a rip off - very average hotel, so so service and ok (but not great ) food. Insane prices (I paid €24 for 2 take away Cappocinos from the bar- in polystyrene cups ! ). Half baked little bar of soap in the room , no shampoo -

Robert D.

Yelp
Stay was overall ok. But, on our third night (we were originally given a Jr suite when we paid for a full suite) there someone who had rented multiple suites next to us with all suites having connecting doors opened as far as I could tell. They then proceeded to have a party until early into the morning (I could hear music, clapping and snapping until after well 2 am when I finally dozed off). Imagine having to listen to some sort of house music at a very loud level which was easily heard as soon as you exited the elevator. I called front desk to complain at midnight and the front desk said they would take care of it as I had to get up at 5 am for a trip. 30 mins later music still going and at this point front desk would not even answer my call from the room. I then went down to the desk and the person working the desk said he would go up there. Well, he didn't and I am not sure what time the music ended but we were VERY unhappy about this. They have seemingly frequent weddings and events but this was not bothersome at all as most outside events ended at a reasonable time. But this was unacceptable and the hotel either needs security or a front desk manager with the guts to actually do something. If this was a "sanctioned party" then the other guests should have been moved prior or given the option to move.

Yelp
The most glaring complaint would be the loud presence of the housekeeping staff in the hall outside the rooms. Travelers sleep at different times due to the time zones they have just arrived from. The slamming doors and loud conversations could be curtailed greatly. There is no attempt to consider the guests that may be trying to recover from travel. Front end staff very pleasant and helpful, but Can not recommend this property.

Yelp
If you stay at this well appointed hotel, be sure to make your reservations with Katrin the concierge. Katrin and her team were delightful. Every suggestion was perfect!

Yelp
OK OK ......they get the 5th star . Returned to Paris for a quick get away with my better half and this time we stayed in the best room I could have asked for. HUGE with a balcony that looked over the Eiffel Tower. Also the 100 a night upgrade came with free breakfast (I complained about that cost last time), wifi and open bar between 6 and 9 pm. Those extras alone would have cost that much. I highly recommend this hotel and a special thanks to the staff for all they did with our advance dinner reservations all over Paris.

Yelp
Pull up to a nice external facade. Lobby is well decorated. Checked in....getting ready for a good time. The front desk placed a 900 Euro hold for incidentals (which is fine) However, they also placed 400Euro ($467) hold for use of the Executive Lounge (which was included with our rooms on the Executive floor). No big deal....they discovered it immediately....easily corrected right? WRONG. 3 DAYS of speaking to several staff members....all of whom agreed I wasn't supposed to be charged never seemed to want to return the money. It wasn't even just patience.....it was about lies....and more lies. Manager isn't here. Tomorrow at 9am guaranteed you will have your money back. Staff who promised return would walk to the back the following day to hide when they saw you in line. It was almost comical....like pre-school. All this for 467 dollars (400 Euros) After a ton of effort which took up alot of time....they finally returned my money but..... "Sir, we must charge you a 3 euro fee to do it." (Amazing...a fee to return your money that should never have been taken) Ok....its just 3 Euros but sometimes, it's about ethics. At first, I thought this charge initially was just a mistake. Later....the way it was handled made me feel uncomfortable trusting this hotel with my credit card. Executive Lounge. Honestly useless. Out of plates......remnants of scrambled eggs at 9:30am. Rooms: Beds were comfortable. Rooms look dated. I had a spider join me for a bath one morning. My overall honest opinion: Beautiful facade. Average rooms. Executive lounge should honestly be shut down....useless. (No plates.....fragments of food....no service) Common theme...guests walk in...don't find anything....and they walk out. Possibly done on purpose to have people go to the restaurant....or just incapable of operating an executive lounge. Just overall....a feel of an absence of ethics and honesty by entire staff. Not comfortable. Read my google review for more details. 2 Executive King Rooms....4 nights.... Over $4000 spent in hotel.....and all I can say is Never Again. The 3 Euro charge to return money that should never have been taken is hilarious....almost sad. Pretty buildings dont make fine hotels when the staff and hospitality is as bad as it is here.

Yelp
This hotel has an extravagant lobby with hanging chandeliers and a red circular velvet couch. Our room was comfortable with a nice shower. They have a business center which I was allowed to use for free. Their customer service was top notch. Everyone was professional, quick, and helpful. Their rooms are expensive but travellers, mostly Americans, don't mind paying for their English speaking staff and as people like to say location, location, location! This hotel is just a few blocks away from the Arc de Triomphe. We walked to the Eiffel tower every day, day and night. We also walked the Champs Elysee several times and the Seine river twice. Notre Dame was a very..... long walk which entailed sharing a bottle of Muscador while walking back. It was fun and games until we had to use the bathroom. Then it turned into a game of who can hold it the longest. The French can be stingy with their restrooms which was a problem. Krisin broke and the doormen at Cafe George along the Champs allowed her to use their restroom. I held it because I don't like using a crappy toilet. Maggie waited because she was recently traumatized from a restroom with a hole in the floor. We all got what we wanted and no one peed their pants. BTW our toilet in the hotel room was awesome and worth the wait.

Yelp
Bottom Line - If you're a Gold or Diamond VIP with HHonors, the executive lounge is a very nice refuge with free drinks and snacks (and breakfast in the mornings) during the day. Staff were very nice and the Metro is only a 5-minute walk away, and from there you can go anywhere. I would definitely stay here again when in Paris. I have the Hilton American Express Surpass card, which allows you to redeem HHonors points at a slightly better rate than normal (AXON redemption). For 4 nights, the points required using AXON redemption was 140,000 points for this Category 7 hotel. I stayed from 18-22 May 2011, and the room was booked via the Diamond Desk. Upon check-in, they told me that my reservation had been upgraded to a Junior Suite. Score! Upgrades to suites are usually excluded from HHonors benefits, but I believe the hotel was sold-out during my stay, so they may have just bumped me in order to make room for non-HHonors members. In any case, I felt really lucky (I've heard of others being upgraded sometimes in other Hilton properties - all non-USA properties, but this was the first time EVER for me). The room was really nice. It was great to have a living room aside from the bedroom. There were also two bathrooms (only one had shower and soaking tub). The sheets were silky smooth and housekeeping was good at coming around 5m for turndown service. There is no wifi internet access in the rooms, and wifi is only available in the lobby and the executive lounge. Otherwise, there is wired internet in all rooms. All internet is free for Gold and Diamond VIPs (in the room, you just accept the charges and they will automatically remove the charge from your bill). To use wifi in the common areas, you'll have to get a 1-hour or 24-hour wifi code from the front desk or executive lounge each time. That was the only annoying thing. Other than that, the staff were very friendly, especially the concierge and bellmen.

Yelp
We stayed here for six nights in July. The accommodations were perfect for our family. The Family Suite has a separate bedroom for us and the other room's pull out couch worked and the half bath made a difference in ease of getting ready. The staff was delightful from checkin through checkout. We had use executive lounge and ate breakfast there daily. By the second day they knew our faces and had our coffee/tea request ready before we asked. My birthday was also over our stay and we returned to our room to find a bottle of champagne and cookies with a kind note. The only thing to keep in mind is if you are sensitive to street noise you should request a room facing the courtyard or higher up. It didn't bother us but it was audible on the 3rd floor. We would definitely stay here again and the location was great.

Yelp
The staff is HORRIBLE. My family and I have been here for 2 nights... during this time we have gotten food poisoning from the room service. The pull out bed was never made 6 hours after arriving. I called the front desk 4 times asking for them to make the pull out bed and get an extra pillow. After 2 hours they never showed. I had to walk down to the front desk at midnight to ask once again. After doing so I called a 5th time when they never showed at 1am. At 1:30am they finally brought us sheets and pillow. (Keep in mind we checked in at 5pm and were told it would be made within the next hour) Our family of 7 ordered room service and 2 of us that ate the same dish got VERY VERY sick all night. We told the front desk and they did not care whatsoever. They called us back and said "It was not our food. You got sick somewhere else." When we all shared a pizza that day with salad and that was all within 24 hours. So it was the hotels food. We have 4 more nights in Paris and are trying to find a different hotel to go to because this hotel is just beyond disappointing. They do not care about treating their guests good and taking care of you. If you are coming to Paris to enjoy a lovely vacation like we did- DO NOT stay at this hotel. Other than the nice looks it is absolutely horrific. We will be leaving early and never staying here again.

Yelp
The is in a great location in Paris. The staff are friendly, however our "free phones" did not work for the entire 4 day stay and their were issues with the air conditioner that they were unable to fix. The bar downstairs had a lovely atmosphere and the bartender was personable Overall I expect more service from a 5 star. They need to work on it.

Yelp
Fantastic touches all the way around. Good sized rooms & service (minus the manager at the Purple Room Bar who scolded a bartender for permitting us to take a bar glass to our room...called him an idiot!) was great. Decor was like in the '30's.

Yelp
Like most European hotels the bathrooms are small and the rooms feel very antiquated. The service was very good and the food was rather good. We stayed at the executive suite which is on the upper floor and has a private lounge with complimentary champagne and light fare. I would recommend this Hotel.

Yelp
This hotel should have 3 stars, not 5. Smelly curtain in the shower, no water pressure, and small mediocre room is all not 5 stars level. Not to mention somewhat rude staff at the front desk. Not recommended

Yelp
I booked this hotel through Expedia because it's hard to find a room in France that has two queen sized beds. When we checked in, the front desk confirmed two beds and gave us the room key. When we got to the room, there was only one king size bed. Normally in a case like this, front desk would realize their mistake and give us the correct room key. Unfortunately, that did not happen. When we went back to the front desk, the clerk who checked us in ignored us. We did not want to stand in line again for his mistake. We told another staff member what happened and they told us to go back to the room and someone from guest services would call us in 15 minutes. We waited a half hour and no one called. I called Expedia and they called the hotel to complain. We had to go back downstairs wait in line again, and finally we got the proper room in which I paid for. I felt they were hesitant to give me the room. This was my first impression of Paris. For the most part, all of the staff are friendly and welcoming despite the confusion at check in. This is definitely NOT a five star hotel by any means. The hotel rooms need an updated renovation. There were limited electric outlets and the bathroom smelled like a wet rag. However, the hotel is conveniently located to major tourist attractions and I felt safe. I would probably not return.

Yelp
all around superb! They welcomed us with a bottle of champagne and beautiful dessert tray and lovely letter when we entered our room. The foyer was decorated in Christmas fashion with snow covered trees and lights and a soft fragrance filled the grandiose lobby. The bell hops were fluent in English and Spanish and welcomed us in taking our suitcases without skipping a beat. The front desk was warm welcoming and congratulated us on celebrating our anniversary I could hear her on French making sure our room was ready and to have our special gift in the room waiting. I wasn't expecting anything but our gift was such a thoughtful and sweet gesture it really added to our stay here. The hotel reminds me of the great gatsby with a warm touch. Its luxurious without it being snobby. The purple bar was wonderful! We sat at the purple bar first night to grab drinks and stayed for dinner. The young bartender took care of all all night and we returned the next night to find he remembered us and made us feel at home. Made delicious drinks! Try the Ches nuss! The complimentary spa was the perfect touch to end our trip by helping us relax before heading home. Delightful hotel and will return!! Beautiful all around with outstanding service and food'

Yelp
Kudos to all the staff especially those that work at the Executive Lounge! We loved the experience and the hospitality. It was our first time in Paris and our stay here was incredible. Our only wish was that wifi was a little faster... But all in all, we will return again :)

Yelp
Being a stranger in a strange land can be overwhelming at times, but I didn't get that feeling during my stay at the Paris Hilton. The rates aren't cheap, but it's an ideal location just minutes away from the Eiffel Tower as well as other landmarks. The staff was very professional and even attempted to converse in English when I was having trouble. There was no snotty attitude whatsoever. The hotel is modern and has a great Executive indoor/outdoor lounge that makes for a great evening recap. The location is great for those trying to really make the most of Paris. It's a very walkable city and we never had to wait long for cabs when needed. I will say, be careful of some touristy cafes nearby. You're better off walking a few blocks away from the hotel and trying something more authentic. I wish I could stay here again but that would probably require me to refinance my house.

Yelp
This is not a 5 star hotel and unless you are a celebrity I would avoid staying here because your service does not matter to them. A 5 star hotel would not allow a guest to be woken up at 8am to the sound of hammers. When I went to the front desk to complain, I was told that they cannot do anything to stop the noise - which is great when you have a toddler that is trying to sleep. I find it amazing that they cannot tell the construction crew to stop hammering for 2 hours?!? To top things off, the front desk agent asked me if I wanted to talk to "guest relations"; however, she wouldn't even come down to speak to me - a complete joke. Stay anywhere else, you will have a better time and get better service.

Yelp
Love this place. I have stayed here a dozen times. Staff and hotel is great but location is what makes it. It is quiet and next to parc monceau which is great for a morning run or peaceful end of day walk. It is about 10min walk from arc de triumph but seems a million miles from that madness. Exec club lounge for breakfast is very good and keeps it feeling small.

Yelp
I stayed here with some friends for four nights over New Year's Eve and I have to say, I have experienced way better from Hilton. Although it has a great location right off the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs, and it was very clean, I wasn't impressed with the staff. The concierge was not very attentive or friendly and they gave us a really poor suggestion on a local bar the third night we were there. What was worse, on the second night we were there, our room flooded. We were forced to move that night, at around 1:30AM, and we were moved to a smaller room. They brought us a box of chocolates the next night as an apology, but I hardly feel that is appropriate for the situation. They also do not have free WiFi, which is ridiculous this day in age, and instead they charge astronomical prices for 15, 30 and 45 minute intervals of use. My friend is a Hilton Honors member, as am I, and I guess I just expected a better stay and better service from what is normally a great hotel chain. I don't think I will be recommending this hotel or returning.

Yelp
The hubby took me to Paris for my birthday and our mini honeymoon a couple of weeks ago. We were more than happy with everything there. The staff went above and beyond, everything from the letter that I needed for my France visa to transportation from the hotel were prompt. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the courtyard( I preferred street view) but the courtyard was beautiful, so can't complain. On our first night we were also surprised with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in the room! The hotel is only a couple of minutes from the arc de triomphe, and their breakfasts are scrumptious. Only drawback was the bubble bar that we had been looking forward to was closed for the summer. Highly recommended to anyone in Paris for the weekend!

Yelp
I went to this hotel briefly to have drinks in their bar whilst on a quick jaunt to Paris. My first impressions were WOW! This is a grand and spectacular hotel with a sweeping staircase down to the lower floor and quite possibly the nicest hotel toilets I've ever been in! I headed through to the Purple Bar (I'm not sure if it's actually called that or if that's just what I called it) which had a really nice feel to it. They were playing some lovely jazz which always goes down well with me and it generally had a nice atmosphere. I do recall my diet coke being fairly expensive. I'm thinking €8 but I may be mistaken, but given the location and the hotel itself i wasn't surprised. Within easy walking distance of the Champs Élysées and the Arc De Triomphe, even if you can't afford to stay at this hotel, why not sit back with a soft drink and enjoy a smidgen of the high life! And don't firget to use the loos! ON Y VA!

Yelp
I was really expecting a fine hotel knowing what I was paying to stay there. Sorry, not worth anywhere near the price. The place was a bit run down and the rooms were really out dated. My family felt like we were staying in a Holiday Inn. The decor was really lame, you would think being in Paris the hotel would be fancy and elegant but it was not. Furthermore, several of the staff were a bit argumentative. I know that the Parisians are known for their rudeness but not when your paying $700+ a night. The executive lounge was nice and a good place for my whole family to hangout without worrying about pick pockets and gipsies stealing our stuff. Bottom line, do your research before booking a hotel. This one was booked for us by a travel agent looking to get a better piece. I guess certain hotels pay travel agents more than others.

Yelp
We stayed here this last weekend after we ended up with the hotel on Priceline's negotiator function. We were pleasantly surprised and loved the hotel. The location is a little outside of the main attractions, but still walkable to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elyeses. Room was big, bathroom was nice, and it included a shower and tub. Nice TV, sitting area, and desk. Didn't try out the restaurant or bar, but they looked nice. Nice staff, and helpful. The Concierge didn't always have the best suggestions, and one time they told us a place was open and it was closed. Other than that, it was great and would stay again.

Yelp
We stayed one night in Paris and our travel agent booked this Hotel. The room air conditioning was broken and it took 2 hours to fix. Despite repeated requests to do so. We requested a fan for the room because it was so hot that that request took two hours as well. We also asked for additional pillows and had a call back several times to get them period my wife left her Kindle in the room and although that's our fault it could not be found, somehow? For $1,200 a night I would expect more. Would not recommend and would not ever return. Lives Paris. Didn't love the hotel.

Yelp
OK, I TRULY do not understand the rave reviews at this site. As a diamond HH member we had to fight to get an obstructed view room on the executive level but that is not a big deal. This hotel is really very odd. It used to be an old police station that was transformed into a hotel. Yes, the rooms are larger than most of Paris' hotels but the rooms are odd at best. The food in the executive lounge (if you decide to stay there and pay more) is mediocre at best as well. The scrambled eggs are runny and the food is not good. It is also the same boring food every day. Again, for the money that you would spend at the executive lounge (if paying) just eat meals you want to eat out. I cannot understand for the life of me how this place has a 4 star rating! I stayed at the Le Grand Intercontinental last time and it was MUCH MUCH MUCH nicer and less expensive, better location, etc. While it is near the Arc de Triomphe, there are barely any other attractions nearby and extremely difficult to get directions from people as they are unaware of its bizarre location. This is a shabby-chic hotel and that is it! Nothing outrageous and extremely disappointing. While the staff is extremely "nice" for Paris' standards, we still had to wait about 5 hours for the room to be ready. The rooms are not as big as we expected and the bathroom was OK but again, nothing to write home about. I really cannot understand, for the life of me, the rave reviews of this place at all. Sorry to be a downer, and believe me, I am not a complainer but this was not a great hotel by any stretch of the imagination. Liked -- very friendly staff Disliked -- the crazy high price, the location, the food, the room design, architecture, and food Tips/Secrets -- look for similarly priced hotels in this class in a better location (better value) Trust Me!

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Unfriendly and not client-centric from the moment we (tried to) check in. Had to wait four hours for our room, which can happen and wasn't unexpected, but when asked if they could text or call when the room was ready we were told to just keep checking back. After an international flight, major lack of sleep, lack of shower, etc it was a rough four hours coming back every hour to check on our room. From there the rest of the stay was uneventful - and at this price, it should have been eventful. Inconsistent drop off of bottled water (got it the first two nights of our 6 day stay only), no greeting when we would walk through the lobby, a really strong perfume odor in the lobby that gave me a twinge of a headache every time I walked through, no view of the Eiffel tower that I ever saw (but this is the main reason I picked what I thought was a fancy hotel based on price and reviews), etc. Then the drama kicked in once we checked out for an early morning flight. I was helping my daughter get dressed and put my new necklace from St Michel on the dresser as I helped her, and then forgot it. I realized this once I was at the airport but at that point I couldn't go back. I called the hotel, they confirmed they had it, and I asked them to send it. One week later, no necklace...so I follow up. I am asked to fill out a form and take front and back pictures of my credit card. I didn't expect to be charged to ship a tiny necklace back to the states given the thousands of dollars I spent at this hotel, and after another week no necklace. Finally, three weeks later, I get the necklace in an envelope. In my previous follow ups I asked for a tracking number - never received anything. When I get the necklace I was ecstatic - until I see the $108 bill on my credit card. After googling the cost of shipping a tiny necklace to the US this charge seemed quadruple what it should have been, and I was never asked permission for the charge. Plus I didn't think I should have been charged at all, though it was my fault for forgetting the necklace in the first place. So I complained. Escalated it to a manager. Nothing more than an apology and "the cost includes the shipping and tracking of your parcel". I wish I had chosen either a cheaper hotel if this is the kind of service to expect, or a different one that provided the service that I expected for the price.

Yelp
Stayed here some time ago, but still remember it fondly. Clean and modern, the hotel has an unbeatabble location - within walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe. Wonderful staff, and all fluent in English to match the clientele which are mostly tourists.

Yelp
I stayed at the Hilton Arc de Triomphe for the past three nights. It was almost 4 stars, but fell short in a few areas that may not matter to someone else. Here's the rundown: Pros: - Plenty of English spoken - the staff represented some of the best service while we were in Paris - Hotel is modern, clean and very well kept - The Executive Lounge is fantastic (I forget how much better exec lounges are outside the US) - great breakfast and selection of small bites throughout the day and evening - Easy to get cabs (necessary b/c of the location) - Great views of the Eiffel Tower if you can get a balcony room on the 7th floor - Fitness room although small is excellent and has everything someone needs for a great workout (very new equipment). - Wired internet speed in the room is excellent 18.58 Mb/s down and 36 Mb/s up Cons: - Beds are ridiculously firm...coining the term "Flintstone Firm" - Location is a bit out of the way from where most people want to be (Marais/Latin Quarter) - it's easy enough to get around via cab/metro, but if you can stay somewhere walking distance to Marais/Latin Quarter, I'd recommend that. - No wireless in the rooms - annoying - Elevators were frustratingly slow and one didn't work to get to the Exec floors the entire time we were there. All in all, this could be worth it if you get a great rate and access to the Exec Lounge. Do not stay here without access to the Exec Lounge. Wish I could give half stars - 3.5.

Yelp
An amazing hotel, truly stunning deco and service. I was there for a conference a few days ago, and this is truly one the few places of excellence I've been to. Apart from the spotless venue, they have a great inner courtyard, which is very nice for lunch / dinner / a chat.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay very much at this hotel. The complimentary breakfast is great ( try the green apple juice you will not be sorry!!). The lobby is very pretty and looks like it belongs in instagram photos. I found the front desk staff to be friendly. The concierge directed us to a cafe down the street, as we were very hungry when we arrived, and it was an odd hour and he knew just what was open and close by. My party stayed in adjoining rooms and we were able to have a real sense of privacy as there is a main door with a little hallway and then the two separate rooms. I liked this rather then room doors opening directly to the hallway. It was also close to the Champs-Élysées, just a cab ride away. I would definitely stay here again if I was in that area.

Yelp
This is the worst Hotel I ever stayed at , we waited in the lobby from 11Am to 530 pm They then gave us rooms that were dirty and had no pillows , no towels and no hygiene products , The mini Bar had opened bottles of alcohol and chips that were opened by other guest and placed back in the mini bar , How can this be a 5 star hotel The elevators took forever to come , only 1 elevator worked from the 4 available . The Manager promised to give us an upgrade because the room was so small we could not even fit our bags , the bathroom was not working and best of all , when you order a movie the TV freezes after 5 min and you loose your movie but you are still charged for it . I never comment negatively but this hotel and the way that the staff responded to service was not even close to a 1 star hotel , it was bad , we called for towels and waited 1 hour in the room , I had to call 3 times to get some towels 1hr later. Also, the Coca Cola in the mini bar tasted metallic and nasty. Would not recommend to anyone visiting Paris.

Yelp
Please be careful my ipod was stolen from our room. We always locked it up in the safe before we left the room. It was never taken out of the room. We called security and they came up and looked under the beds. Be on guard.

Yelp
Stayed at the Hilton Arc de Triomphe Paris over the Christmas/New Year holiday. It was fantastic! Every other night, found a surprise in our room - from chocolates, to beauty samples and to champagne/strawberries. It was just an amazing visit. Every staff was so wonderful and patience - they provide us with directions, restaurant recommendations, shopping guides and more.

Yelp
My sister and I stayed here when we spent a week in Paris. Absolutely wonderful hotel! The facility itself is fabulous - very clean and upscale. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, and the beds large and comfy. I love being Hilton Honors because you're provided daily complimentary water bottles. The staff is friendly and easy to deal with - they will gladly speak to you in English (if they speak English that is) if your French is not the greatest. The room service was nice and actually very good, but there was some slight confusion as the girl that brought our food didn't speak English too well, but thankfully my sister's French is up to par so she was able to communicate with her. Great location - safe neighborhood, several Metro stations nearby, and it's not that long of a walk to the Champs-Elysées. And of course, as with all Hilton Hotels, checkout is quick and easy and getting a cab to the airport (or anywhere else for that matter) is simply a quick concierge call away. My only complaints are that the mini fridge is filled to capacity with items and they are all weight-sensored so if you move anything for more than I think 30 seconds you will be charged. Inconvenient as I wanted to put some things in there. Also, all of the small cafes nearby closed very very early so if we wanted to eat after coming back to nap, we had to go take the Metro to somewhere else in the city. Love this hotel though, I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat.

Yelp
We had a good experience at this hotel. The location is very convenient to major sight-seeing (or a 5 minute walk to the subway), but still on a somewhat quiet street. We stayed here for several nights over Christmas 2010, and I'd definitely recommend it. The good: -Executive lounge. If you have status with Hilton, this will be SUCH a great perk. Open early until 11 pm. They serve a full breakfast, and light lunch and dinner- including wine! Chocolates, bread, pastries out all day. Soda (even Coke Light), an espresso/coffee machine, Evian, beer, juice, etc. all available all day. We had breakfast and snacks here every day, and I bet you we saved 50 Euros per person per day. It was the best deal! -Family executive lounge (you're supposed to go here if you're traveling with children under 13. They have a full play area, video games, TV, kid-friendly foods, etc.) I was not traveling with children, but I had to check it out. :) It looked cool! This is also a plus if you're sans wee ones, because the regular lounge is quiet and relaxing. -Friendly staff (they're not TOO terribly put out if your French is...well, terrible) -Clean -Spacious rooms (ours was huge by Paris standards) -Safe neighborhood to run in (if you're into that sort of thing like I am) -Super easy to get a cab -Fairly quiet street The not-as-good: -Beds are really hard (probably the hardest bed I've ever slept on, and I travel a lot...this was the hardest) -Bathroom was small (Although not tiny, and it did have places to store things) -They're stingy with the pillows. Two per bed..that's it. -Internet is SUPER expensive- 22 Euros for 24 hours. -Looks/feels like a Hilton. This is a little nicer than your standard Hilton, but it's very cookie cutter. You won't have a cultural experience in your room. I would recommend this hotel, especially if you have Hilton status so you can take advantage of the executive lounge!!
