The room is too small. Only one person finds it difficult to take a shower alone too small. Good and Clean. No Lifts so no good for old people. We had a room on the 4th floor I am young but still tired keep going up and down. We paid £110 but it's not worth to spend that money in this little room. If you are a couple and want to save money get a room/apartment near to Eiffel Tower you get the same facility at a cheap price. Breakfast was not as we expected but still good. You pay a little more and get better at a nearby pub in the early morning. Overall hotel was clean customer service was superb. We had a great trip. Best to travel by train and save money.

Easy to make reservation with the hotel. Check in a breeze! Was able to leave my luggage before room was ready. The room was nice, clean and safe. The location has easy access to metro, sites and eateries. I really enjoyed my stay here as a solo traveler.

Cute place, serviceable room and staff. BUT we got maid rifling through our packs looking for money. We informed hotel, which DID NOT APOLOGIZE nor apparently care, and which, against our stated wish, allowed the same maid to return the following day. Cannot recommend this hotel for obvious reasons.

The Hotel du Dragon is a simple, basic hotel. This means no elevator and no AC. It is also relatively inexpensive. However, our room was spacious - a welcome change from the usual shoe box French hotel room. And almost uniquely in our experience the WiFi was excellent even in the upper stories. It is also historic with worn tile steps from at least a hundred years of shoe leather as well as charming exposed beams in the ceilings. |The hotel is in a wonderful location, off Blvd Saint Germain, with access to many excellent restaurants and walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame, Ile St Louis, the Latin Quarter, etc.|But best of all is the helpful staff. The woman covering the reception during the day could not have been more welcoming and helpful. She advised us on restaurant choices for our family which included an infant and cheerfully made reservations for dinner as well as our taxi to CDG. We would return to Hotel du Dragon just because of her! She was a wonderful help.

Fab location. Good sized but outdated rooms. Price/quality for the area is ok. Walls are thin. Cigar smoke at night. Alas the service! Why oh why are you in hospitality if you don’t like people? It reminds me of Parisian hospitality (FYI I am myself French) in the 1980s: the guest is lucky to be acknowledged unless s/he is a regular. Luckily that no longer applies for most of the rest of the city. Time to retire folks.

I stayed two nights in a single room which was located at the top of the building - was this the servants quarters? I can’t recall how many flights of stairs I had to go up (two staircases between each floor), maybe 6 or 7? lugging my suitcase and a backpack. Argh! No elevator. I arrived early to drop off my luggage and was met with surly staff (a family member)? who took my bag inside until formal check in time. The single room was fine and was a mix of period architecture, modernized bathroom and IKEA fixtures. The really bad part was: the pillowcases were so rough I got a rash on my face. I know the location is very pricey being in St Germain neighborhood and the cost per night for a single was low (less than €160/night) during the World Rugby Cup when Paris was under mountains of tourists. But because of the amount of stairs, uncomfortable bedding, I would not stay here again.

Charming, comfortable and great location. Rooms are a very generous size, simple but tastefully decorated. Staff friendly and courteous. Breakfast was a fairly standard affair but lovely homemade jams. |||| Will definitely return. Highly recommended.

DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!! We chose this hotel because me and my husband wanted to extend our holiday in Paris with 3 more days. We were very unhappy and disappointed with this hotel for many reasons ! 1- they charged with 30€ more then they said on phone 2- don’t have elevator and you need to climb very small stairs with your luggage’s in your arms which is very hard! 3- as soon as we arrived and went to the shower they stopped the water in the middle of our shower with SOAP ON US WITHOUT LETTING US KNOW THEY WOULD !! 4- the room was very very cold, heat was not working and had to stay all 3 nights with an electric heater non stop even when sleeping which is not so safe . They said will fix but did NOT happen! 5- the personal of the hotel very unfriendly with tourists, they only answer in French even if they know English 6- the guy from front desk at night knows nothing if you need help and always said to talk in the morning with the other person. 7- extremely small rooms ! 8- extremely poor internet connection and WiFi!! I do NOT RECOMMEND this hotel for a long staying but sincerely not even for just 1 night ! Only thing good about it it’s its position but you don’t have any comfort or enjoyment in staying there !!

Yelp
I stayed here once. It's plain and a walk up. It's clean and located a block off Boulevard Saint Germain. Also, it's on one of the tiny small original streets of Paris. It reminds me of yesteryear, just being there. Another good first place to stay while you're finding your way in Paris.
