We booked a suite with connecting single room for a mother/daughter/grandmother get-away to celebrate my daughter's 18th. The location is fantastic in the heart of the Marais. However, the little apartment we booked was very small and felt a bit shabby. It was done in a 'cool' style, but paint was chipped, a door handle was broken and we were lacking some basics - like a dishwasher tablet for the dishwasher or more than one wine glass (there were 3 of us). ||||If the suite and room had been more affordable, then this wouldn't have mattered so much, but when paying over 1400 euros for a 3-night stay, you'd expect more. I had to request more toilet paper, the soap dispensers weren't full and when we first arrived the carpet in the bedroom had leaves on it as it hadn't been hoovered properly which wasn't the best first impression.||||The receptionist was lovely - she did help order my Mum a taxi to the airport. However, as reception is only open for a few hours in the day some in-room info would have been extremely useful - we could have done with instructions about how to use the safe, how to use the coffee maker and local restaurant/bar recommendations, just like you would get in an Airbnb.||||There is also no soundproofing between floors, when the couple above us arrived home we could hear them walking/talking etc, so not a great choice for light sleepers.

I can't speak to the other rooms in the hotel but I loved the loft room, it felt like our own Paris apartment. It does overlook a school across the way and the children are rather rambunctious BUT you shouldn't be sitting in your room all day long, you're supposed to be out sight-seeing (and they are very much not in school after 4 or 5 PM). It was immaculately clean (I hate carpets and comforters, and liked how modern and crisp everything was) and centrally located in the city. The nearest big train station is Les Halles but there is a smaller metro stop around the corner called Arts and Metiers. I would definitely come back and stay here, I loved it. I don't like hotels that FEEL like hotels so this was perfect!

When I arrived at the hotel, there was no one in reception even though it was 12pm, I was sent a code to access the hotel and my room. The room I entered was unmade and dirty. I was switched to another room. I left my bag and the room seemed fine. I had to rush off as I was now behind schedule having to sort out a new room||When I arrived back at my room later in evening, I found the bedroom dusty. I felt like I couldn't breathe well. So I checked the room and it was so dirty. See attached pictures - an old dirty mask and a packet of tissues and lots of dust at the bedside tables.||They switched my room at midnight and the lady in the phone (nobody at reception) was incredibly rude. I managed to switch rooms and the 'apology' was next to nothing. I paid €142 for a dirty room and they only gave me back 20% because I emailed numerous times, many emails went ignored||I was so exhausted, my plans had to be shifted the next day. Stay well away||Their standards are beyond low and they are arrogant and rude.||I cannot believe their cleanliness is at all acceptable, especially in the midst of a global pandemic

I stayed in this hotel for two times.Among the expensive and or old and tired hotel choices in Paris, HM is a good option - it is much more reasonably priced, it is of modern design, clean and relatively newly renovated (I stayed in the ground floor room and loved it). It has a kitchen with full cooking utensils in great clean condition. Sizeable shower area and bathtub (unlike some hotel you can hardly move). Queen size bed. It is 10 min walk to La Marais one of my favourite shopping area with local designers shops, 4-5 Maje/Sandro and reasonable priced restaurants. Actually one of my favourite Michelin 3 stars L’Ambroise is also there. What I love most is also service. They served by couple of young ladies. Not traditional 24 hour conceige. They are not in the conceige all the time. But they are friendly, flexible, digitally savvy (young) and we make requests and they quickly responsed and met your need with flexibility. If you are relatively young and use to quick text and arrangement you will find it very friendly and agile. If one expect a traditional 24 hour conceige you may be horrified why no one is around. They went extra mile and help make my trip smooth and more enjoyable. Along a few things, I booked two different rooms for my last stay. they let me stayed in my original room as it is available so I don’t need to move although the second room is supposed to be cheaper. It is not obligated and therefore appreciated. Big hotel with “policy” will not have that human touch. It is a small boutique hotel in the alley. Not glamorous but ok and taxi was able to wait inside the alley.Already and would

This is a really lovely boutique hotel and is very well situated in the northern end of the Marais District. staff were super helpful. That being said, it is directly opposite the school which would have to have the noisiest kids ever put on the planet! I’m sure most people would not be working from the hotel so it may not affect them, but if you ever plan to have a little afternoon rest or sleep in at all, and your room faces the street, it will be exceptionally noisy from around 8:30 am until 5:30 pm. Believe me, I am very happy to see kids back at school and out playing, but this really did my head in. There was absolutely no chance of sleeping in and absolutely no chance of an afternoon nap. Also, the Internet was very patchy which made it extremely difficult for me who was actually trying to work from my hotel room. So a good leisure hotel and particularly good on weekends, but definitely not one if you are required to work from your hotel.

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of the Marais, actually their version of a Chinatown. The rooms are cozy (small), apartment-like with a bedroom, living room with kitchenette and a bathroom. The bathroom was TINY, so if claustrophobia is an issue look elsewhere. They provided free use of a local cell phone, ideal for accurate GPS navigation. While the staff was wonderful and welcoming the housekeeper seemed to make a different mistake daily (no bath towels, forgot coffee creamers, etc)...attention to detail was lax. The televisions never worked properly throughout our stay, no cable reception which in Paris was just fine.

This was a 2 room apartment, not a hotel Kitchen was well stocked with untensils etc. A very comfortable bed and a quiet location, yet just off main streets. It was a perfect location for exploring Paris. The reception staff were also very helpful.

Great location in the 3 Arrondissement. Nearby you can find delicious vegan restaurants (we had also the kitchen in the suite but we didn't even used it). But best of all, Flora, the receptionist was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. She helped us moving in Paris and find out what we wanted to visit! I strongly recommend you staying here. Hope to come back soon and find her again||||PS Just a little negative thing: very noisy rooms. You can hear all the sounds of the rue des Vertues, but if you soundproof them everything would be perfect

Yelp
Stranded in paris for one more night due to "migrants in the tunnel" meant we had to look for a cheap hotel last minute. Found this one online - picked it mainly due to price and location. Price included brekkie (which takes place down stairs - classic french baguettes & viennoiserie with jam & butter, as well as fruits and coffee of course) as well as wifi (always a benefit!). The room was tiny, but didnt need much more space than that. Cute little room though & absolutely gorgeous bathroom. Everything had clearly been renovated recently but still kept an old school feel about it. One thing to mention we had our room on the first floor giving on the road - right in front of a middle school. Im guessing you know where im going with this - screaaaaaming kids!!! Sound proof isnt too bad, but it would need to be amazing to keeo the kids noise out! Side note - theres much worse place than Paris to be stranded in!!!!

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel du Haut Marais. Didier was a great help and the bed and breakfast is safe and secure. We appreciated the updated bathroom and beautiful rain shower. The breakfast was also delicious and how wonderful that it is included in your price. Didier works very hard to make your stay comfortable. We heard from other guests that the children across the street were loud, but our window did not overlook the front street where the children attend school. Thus our stay was quiet and we slept well! Important to note: The hotel does not have air conditioning. In a hotter month it may be very hot... We were fine with just the ceiling fan.
