Where to Stay in Quebec City When You Visit (Updated 2025)

"I found this hotel is made up of spacious loft apartments, making it great for groups (some apartments have five beds and can fit up to eight people). With contactless check-in and passcode entry it feels akin to staying at an Airbnb; the lofts have a minimalist design and feature rain showers with excellent pressure, desks, soft beds, coffee makers, and flat-screen TVs." - Matthew Kepnes

The 5 Best Hotels in Quebec City (Updated 2025)

"Composed of spacious loft apartments, this three-star property is a great choice for groups or families (or anyone wanting more space) and feels a bit like staying in an Airbnb with contactless check-in and passcode entry. The lofts feature a minimalist design with light tones, wooden accents, and huge grayscale animal portraits; the bright tiled bathrooms have rain showers with excellent pressure, and rooms include desks, soft beds, coffee makers, and flatscreen TVs. There’s no breakfast available, but Saint Roch — the neighborhood it’s in — has lots of places within walking distance and is one of the best areas of the city for foodies. Overall it’s a simple but comfortable choice, especially ideal for longer stays if you want a trendier, more local feel than the Old Town." - Matthew Kepnes

Terrible experience. The sink was clogged, and the coffee maker bowl was chipped — disgusting and unacceptable. If a hotel can’t even provide clean, functional basics, it shows how little they care about their guests. Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.

Zero service Generally over priced for what it was TV remotes batteries were leaking... No clue how long this place was out of use Check in experience is not good Room itself was fine and the location is fairly central. If you want a no frills stay this is serviceable

I recently stayed at Hôtel du Jardin, and while the room itself was nice, the overall experience was disappointing due to the complete lack of service. First, the hotel offers no laundry facilities, which is incredibly inconvenient for travelers on longer trips. Even basic requests, like an extra blanket, were met with a flat-out refusal. It felt like there was no service at all—almost as if the staff didn’t care. If you’re looking for a place with good customer service or any basic amenities beyond just a room, this isn’t it. It’s a decent stay if all you need is a bed, but don’t expect anything more.

I arrived here with very little expectations, perhaps I had overwhelmed myself over bad reviews prior to coming here. But I have nothing to complain about! It exceeded my expectations and for its fantastic location and price, I think it is worth the price. The room is clean, spacious, large desk, a working mini fridge, and multiple clean towels available. If you’re someone who doesn’t really care about room service/amenities, this is great tbh. I’m not sure what people were complaining about. The washroom is clean and very modern! I like the golden accent to it. No shelves to put your soap bottles and whatnot, but I personally don’t mind leaving my stuff on the shower floor. I also like the self check-in and check-out method, it really feels like you’re living at your own place. I wouldn’t suggest you coming here if you prefer the more traditional hotel style service and amenities. Would go again if I visit QC, Les Lofts have many locations scattered around the touristy areas.

The room was amazing. That's the good point about the hotel, but the service unfortunately was miserable, the black lady that working on the reception was totally rude and disrespectful but the other girl the blonde young one was so polite and kind

Great accommodation, well priced, big room, big bed, good facilities. Well placed to catch the RTC buses to the airport, to the Old Port (Basse-Ville) and the Haut-Ville area of Plains of Abraham, Frontenac etc. Only gripe was that our room wasn’t serviced, despite our leaving the sign out on two of our seven days. We managed to get extra soap, coffee etc however. Maybe we came back on those days before they got to service our room which was next to the office

Pluses on cleanliness and location. Plus great in room laundry services. Front desk staff not engaging or welcoming. Checking in confusing as now answering front door. Checking even more of a cluster. At 11:30 am, trying to check out, BUT the front desk prioritized extremely early checkins vs helping those trying to check out. Waited 30 min as they helped folks store luggage and give restaurant advice vs helping folks leave the hotel. Check in time is 3pm. They should have 2 lines!!!! One for check out. One for check in.

I love the location is near everything! The room is big, clean and pretty. I was pretty comfortable there. And the wifi is working well to work in the room
