A quiet small boutique hotel in the middle of Isle Saint Louis. Easy to get to. Not much open at night on the Isle but very close to the right and left banks for late night dining. Lovely staff, good breakfast and a cute puppy named Artic to greet you. Rooms are a mix of new and older decor, bathrooms a bit dated and one was very small, but clean. We had the 2 level suite. We came for the history and we got exactly that. Very happy with our stay.

We needed something to accommodate a family of five and found a fantastic three bedroom apartment with kitchen and two bathrooms for a very reasonable price. Hotel staff was very friendly in the location was amazing. The apartment does not have air conditioning, but they did provide fans upon request And it generally gets cool in the evenings during the summer. We would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay again during our next stay in Paris.

I can't adequately describe how much we loved this hotel. The location is fantastic. It is surrounded by great shops and restaurants. The atmosphere is beyond outstanding. This starts with the staff who were warm and accommodating. The guestroom was perfect. We had two floor to ceiling doors/windows that opened to a courtyard and it had air conditioning. Breakfast was a treat. One morning we needed another croissant and the. Waiter ran to the store and got two. You just can't ask for better service. I recommend that this hotel without reservation.

We loved the hotel! We wish the coffee from the first morning could have been duplicated the next 2 mornings. The location was great and staff friendly and helpful. The 3 bedroom apartment was perfect for our family of 5. We enjoyed the area so much we saw very little of Paris - highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel du Jeu de Paume.||First, we were greeted by helpful staff and shown to our comfortable, quiet, charming, nicely appointed room. ||Second, the hotel itself has such historic charm. The interior atrium space is so striking with its old wood beams and comfortable seating areas. We didn't buy the breakfast (though it looked great), but we enjoyed grabbing some coffee and pastries nearby and just sitting in the lobby.||Third, we loved our room. We were in room 202 with high ceilings, beams, and plenty of space. It was quiet and comfortable.||Finally, Île Saint-Louis is such a great location. I've stayed in the Marais twice and now Île Saint-Louis twice and I think Île Saint-Louis is perfect. You're on an island in the Seine where you can walk to the Left Bank, the Marais, Notre Dame, multiple metro stops, and the RER within a few minutes, and yet it's pretty quiet at night.||Thanks for a great stay, Hotel du Jeu de Paume!

We loved this charming and quirky hotel in this impressive historic building, away from all the crowds, on the peaceful Ile St Louis. It’s close enough to interesting restaurants and shops, and a metro station, without being near the touristy bustle of Paris. ||Lovely staff, perfect location, comfy bed, and the excitable Lemon (now departed) made it feel like a home. ||We will return 😊

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. We enjoyed the quiet break from city noise. Restaurants, coffee, groceries, etc. are all an easy waking distance, as well as many sites in Paris, but the hotel location is very quiet. A great value and we hope to stay again!

Overall, I just had an okay experience at Hotel Du Jeu De Paume. The hotel is in a perfect location for experiencing Paris. Also, the building itself is very unique and beautiful. However, I feel that the space is very underutilized and outdated, especially touting a 4 star experience and at a higher price than nearby hotels. The staff seemed stressed and disorganized at times and not very friendly. There was random objects like cardboard boxes, cleaning supplies, etc strewn about the entry way for no apparent reason. Our room felt a bit outdated. There were small details like a lousy shower head, quickly clogging drains, a fan without any light switch that just tainted the experience. Overall, I would still recommend the hotel for the location alone, but you may have a better experience at a lower price elsewhere.

Yelp
There is very little to complain about with this hotel, and when I mean little, I mean very little. The staff is incredible, the breakfast is stunning, the rooms are comfortable, and the location is perfect, literally just around the corner from the Notre Dame cathedral. But I can complain about one thing, but I'm going to save that for the last. The first thing I want to compliment is the staff. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. We left LAX at 2:30 pm and arrived in Paris at 9:30 am. Being unable to sleep on the plane, you can imagine how tired we were when we arrived at the hotel. Our room wasn't ready, of course, but they were so generous to hold our luggage and they gave us plenty of ideas close by to pass our time until the room was ready for us. They even offered us a cappuccino. I can't say enough about the staff. I typically don't eat breakfast buffets. I get all germ weird seeing all those hands near the food and people breathing and coughing all over everything. But I loved this one. First of all, we were there just as they were bringing out the food, so that helped. But the food was incredible. They had easily the best baguettes that I have ever eaten in my life. The meats and cheeses were of high quality. I was in heaven. My wife was as well with the amazing croissants, and the creamy scrambled eggs sent me to another world. It was a great, calm, relaxing start to the day each day we stayed. The location was amazing. It was close to a lot, and what we couldn't (or didn't want to) walk to, there is a river taxi called Batobus that you can get on near the Notre Dame and take the Seine all over the city to the Eiffel Tower, the Champs Elysees, the Louvre, etc. It was a great resource less than a five-minute walk from the hotel. There is one issue though, but it really isn't the hotel's fault, which is why I am not taking any stars away. It was HOT in Paris and our hotel room was on two floors. The small room air conditioner was on the second floor, and it didn't ever really cool down the upstairs, let alone the downstairs. The little fan downstairs just didn't suffice, and the ceiling fan upstairs didn't work. It made the room miserable. But again, that's Europe for you. Overall, it's an amazing, cheerful hotel. Just go in December.

Yelp
We ended up having to transfer to this hotel after an unfortunate lack of organization at our previous hotel led to them not having a room for us. After being all upset that we had to move hotels in the middle of the day we ended up loving this place. Here's my review. Rooms: Very comfortable, large with incredibly comfortable beds, tons of charm and the most comfortable beds in Paris. Service: A+. They are helpful, genuinely nice and go out of their way to help you. Still, they don't have the creepy, follow you around vibe that you get in high end hotels. It's kind of as if you are staying in their home and they are so happy to have you. Lounge: They have eclectic art, tons of books and play opera over the radio at a level loud enough to hear but not loud enough to interfere with conversation. I could spend an afternoon curled up here reading and chatting. They also have a glass elevator and those who know me, know I love those things. Location: Very centrally located. Since it's on the Isle you do get a ton of tourist junk nearby. Thankfully it's a bit further down the street so it's not in the worse of it. Street noise is not a big deal for us but if it is for you, get a room overlooking their patio. It's a fabulous location if you are new to Paris or only here for a few days. Overall, this is the hotel I recommend to all my friends who are going to Paris for the first time or just a few days and don't want to rent an apartment (the best way to stay in Paris). It has a soul and romance to it, which is the whole reason I come to Paris.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel, right in the middle of Isle Saint-Louis. The accommodations were great, very clean, modern bathroom. The staff was so nice, with good recommendations for restaurants, and help getting a taxi. The location is within easy walking distance of Isle de la Cite, and Notre Dame. I stayed here a few years ago, and wondered if my memories of my previous stay had been improved artificially with time, but no, it was still the same charming hotel. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Lovely hotel hidden behind Rue Saint-Loius en I'lle , beautifully modernised and restored within the ancient timber framed building where the once played and ancient form of Tennis. Staff all friendly, breakfast very nice, rooms comfortable, clean and quiet. Great location and we would rebook again for sure. Top notch.
