Hotel Du Lac Interlaken

Honestly this hotel was just bad. I have seen better motels in NY than this hotel the only thing that’s good about this hotel is that the location is amazing because it’s right next to a lake and train station but when I got here, there was nothing no shampoo no conditioner or any body wash and not only was their nothing to shower with, but if you are a woman, their is no hairdryer. There is also no toothpaste and the breakfast is extremely overpriced. The hotel is also old styled but not it a good way, if anything it was just old. So if you come prepared I guess it’s a decent place to stay but I’d book a different hotel.

The location is perfect if you travelling around cause just 2 minutes away from Interlaken OST station and boat ride. The staff were very kind and genuinely helpful. The room and and toilet are clean.Breakfast buffet was a letdown if you expect the standard of the most 4 star hotel. It's okay for us since we are particular and only eat bread, egg and fruits.

Great room the bathroom was very modern and had a big bathtub. They offered tea and a kettle in the room and the lakefront view was gorgeous. Staff let us check in an hour early too. Would definitely come here again. Also very close to the train station and everything we needed.

Old style hotel, with nice view and walking distance to train station (Interlaken Ost) and not very far from Interlaken town. Comfort room and Friendly receptionist. For muslim also easy, cause walking distance to Halal shop and restaurant.

The staff’s caring attitude shone through, as they were attentive, friendly, and quick to assist with recommendations or requests. The hotel’s central location is ideal, just steps from Interlaken’s main attractions, shops, and restaurants, making it easy to explore the stunning surroundings. Overall, Hotel du Lac combines comfort, cleanliness, and excellent service in a prime location, making it a top choice for anyone visiting Interlaken. Highly recommended!

Nice place to stay and it's right next to Interlaken OST station. The only disappointment was the chef and reception person. We had to leave by 6.30 a.m to Jungfrau and requested if we could have some bread or fruit to carry along as we had paid for breakfast but breakfast doesn't start until 7 a.m. I was told nothing would be ready before 7. It was shocking to see that the breakfast was all ready made and nothing really cooked by the chef except boiled eggs. They could've easily provided us with a croissant or a fruit which we requested just for 1 morning.

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Du Lac in Interlaken. While the hotel feels more like a 3-star property in terms of room size and overall design, it still offers a very good experience. The room was on the smaller side, and the balcony was quite compact, which may not suit everyone looking for spacious accommodations. The breakfast was simple but fresh mostly cheese, some fruit, and bread enough to start the day lightly. But what sets Hotel Du Lac apart is its unbeatable location. The hotel is also conveniently located near public transport, making it a great base for exploring the region. Despite some minor limitations in room space, I really loved my time here and would happily return for the view and peaceful atmosphere alone.

I stayed at Hotel du Lac and while the staff were very kind and genuinely helpful throughout my visit, the experience overall was disappointing. Unfortunately, the toilet in my room was leaking the entire time, which was frustrating and gave the impression that maintenance and repairs are not properly prioritized. Breakfast was another letdown — overpriced for what was offered. The only proteins available were hard-boiled eggs and a few slices of turkey, with the rest of the spread feeling sparse and lacking variety. For the cost, I expected much more substance and quality. It’s clear the owners are cutting corners, both in upkeep and in the breakfast offerings, which really detracts from what could otherwise be a charming stay. With some investment in repairs and a more thoughtful breakfast, this hotel could live up to its potential.

This hotel is AMAZING! The staff treats you like you deserve. We have stayed at this amazing hotel many times with our groups ( we take people all over Europe) and have fallen in love with this hotel. The food is wonderful also. Rooms are homie and beds are very comfortable ( which is a must) As you can tell I can't say enough good things about this hotel and staff. And the owner Ernest Hofmann goes out of his way to please his guest. Also the views are breathtaking! And the hotel is located across from the train station
