Nothing fancy, but it was a clean room, good rates, pleasant staff. Easy walk to groceries, many restaurants & near bus stops. ||Breakfast was okay but you can get better options for less at local cafes. ||Off the main road so it was quiet. Would stay again.

Overall, good value for money. The bed was comfy and my room was a decent size. Good location; it was quiet but also easy to get to lots of places. The shared bathroom situation was very simple and dated but it all worked. Only two toilets between 11 rooms was a bit stingy. I think the cleaning could have been a bit better. Late check in worked fairly well, but you've got to find the perfect position to hold the fob to get into your room.

Not only the reception desk hours are 2pm-8pm but they wouldn’t let me check-in alone because my friend made the reservation at his name. I had all the confirmation documents.

Good location, near many touristic attractions. The building is quite outdated. The rooms are quite comfortable. The worst thing was that we were sent to our room but it wasn’t cleaned and the beds weren’t prepared yet, having to wait quite a lot in the aisle.

Hôtel du Marché is located very close to Lausanne’ old city and the cathedral but also the city center, the check in was easy and fast, room was spacious and clean, with enough towels and coffee on the house, you can pay extra 15 euro per person for breakfast. The shared toilet and shower were decent enough, overall good value for money and recommend it!

Fab, clean accommodation. Slightly quirky with brilliant location and excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.||We had a family room with a large double bed and 2 full-size singles. There was also a private bathroom and a little kitchen which was adequate for making breakfast and light meals. Also a fab real coffee machine.

In a very expensive city, this hotel provides a very comfortable solution a few steps away from the city center. It is true it does not have a 24 hour reception, there are rooms with common toilets, but if you book a room with your own bathroom, it will be ok. We got a nice room with very cozy beds, parking was right in front and at a reasonable price and the most important thing - it was very clean and quiet. The biggest advantage is the walking distance to the city center and again, the staff was really nice! I will book this hotel again when in Lausanne.

It's a very basic hotel. The room was fine. There was usually no one in the reception, so there really was no interaction with the staff. Location is good--only 3 minutes from a metro station.
