Hotel du Palais de l'Isle Annecy

Beautiful hotel. We had room 402 and it was literally something from a dream. The view is sublime. The room was spotless and the bed is very comfortable. The baby slept so well in his travel cot also. Tarek on reception made our trip. Always happy to chat to us and give us excellent reccomendations like Le Freti for raclette and the drive up to Semnoz. He was our holiday planner!

This hotel is AMAZING! You will not find a better location! Staff are so helpful and will go out of their way to help! The reception is on level 1 but there’s a lift so no issues. The room was incredible - balcony overlooking the wonderful winding canals below and over to the right the lake! The area is stunning! Close to all restaurants/cafes/bars. 5 min walk to the start of the lake. Room is enough for needs. Shower is a holding one in the bath but it’s fine, and nothing to complain about whatsoever! We didn’t arrive by car so cannot comment on parking however the walk up to the castle is steep so be mindful of that if hard of walking, but otherwise I cannot praise this place enough! Thanks for our wonderful stay - we’ll be back!!

This hotel is absolutely INCREDIBLE! Is in the middle of the old town right next to the wonderful Palais de I’lle (as the name would suggest) our room had a balcony with chairs/table that overlooked this and to the right could see the wonderful lake Annecy! The hotel staff are the most friendly and welcoming I’ve ever come across and they would do anything to help. The reception is on floor 1 but it’s easy to take the lift here. There are also narrow stairs if u prefer - yes they’re narrow and winding but this is an old building with amazing character fitting for the beautiful old town. You are near plenty of restaurants/cafes/bars and you can walk to the start of lake Annecy in 5 mins. So many beautiful canal streets to wander. The room is plenty big enough and you can take a buffet breakfast if required. We didn’t take a car so cannot comment on parking but there is parking up near the palace/castle but it is a steep walk so not so good for those with mobility issues but otherwise is a short uphill walk. The place itself is flat. We absolutely loved our stay. The bathroom was completely adequate. A holding shower in the bath but this is nothing to to complain about. Heating was great, views were great! Thankyou to the wonderful staff for a great stay! We will be back!!!

Small hotel in the centre of the old town. Great location a stone throw away from the lake.|Rooms are small but was ideal for us only staying for a night.|We didn't eat at the hotel so cannot recommend the food.|I would stay here again for the location and price.|The staff were pleasant and helpful.|Reception is on the upper floors which is accessed by a lift.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in December. It is a great little hotel in a perfect location. You literally come out of the door and you are in the heart of the old town. We loved it and would definitely stay again.

The location is great, and the hotel employees were helpful in assisting us in finding the hotel. We parked our car in the parking area, but the hotel is in a pedestrian area, so you have to walk to check in. It was a little confusing. We upgraded our room and had a nice view from the 4th floor. The bed was comfortable. Tiny elevator, but it's Europe, so . . .

Be careful with the room you book. Location is great, but our room was 502 and is not confortable at all. Lift only arrive to 4th floor so you have stairs, the room has also steps inside and because is the top flor (pitched roof) you cannot take a shower stand. We did not get advice about it, if not we would probably change to other options. Not worth the price.

Hotel is in a perfect position in the old city, on the river. The building is old so there are some compromises on the size of the rooms. We were on the top floor, and had to walk the last flight of stairs. Easy access to plentiful restaurants and bars. Near the quay for boat trips. A charming hotel in a beautiful town.
