Hotel du Palais de l'Isle Annecy

The hotel was in the perfect location, near shops, restaurants, and cafés. The rooms were spacious and clean but very basic. There is no real lobby in the hotel. The small elevator opens up to the breakfast room where you are greeted by a person sitting at a small desk. The hotel is a good value, but we were looking for something with a few more amenities.

Super dog friendly hotel! Location is incredible. We had a city view room, but there are rooms that view the lake. The staff were all so friendly and gave our dog lots of cuddles! The lift is very small, a bit of a squeeze and the rooms were small, but perfect for what we wanted for the night

This is a lovely hotel. The staff I interacted with were really friendly and welcoming. The room was a single room, and was clean with a comfortable bed. The shower was great and towels fluffy. One thing I would say is that the door to the bathroom is clear - not a problem for me as I was alone (and think my room was meant for one). Not sure if other room types have the same set up but may be worth checking as, if you’re sharing a room, depending on who you’re travelling with, this may not be suitable. That isn’t meant as a criticism at all - just think it’s something I would want to know in advance. The location was perfect as it’s close to the beautiful Lake Annecy, and also close to lots of bars / restaurants nearby. It also felt really safe as a solo female traveller. Would definitely highly recommend this hotel.

We booked the emperor suite with a balcony overlooking the canal. The room was bright, airy and comfortable and perfectly located in the heart of the old town. Breakfast is available if you want it but we ate out. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and appreciated my efforts to converse in French!||Annecy is beautiful with lots to do if you love the outdoors. We hired bikes and cycled round the lake. Although a bit early for beach days, there are plenty of spots dotted around the lake to sunbathe, relax and soak in the scenery.

This is a lovely little hotel that has a great location. We stayed for one night and paid for the breakfast which was definitely worth it. The service was also excellent and the room was clean.

Beautiful hotel. We had room 402 and it was literally something from a dream. The view is sublime. The room was spotless and the bed is very comfortable. The baby slept so well in his travel cot also. Tarek on reception made our trip. Always happy to chat to us and give us excellent reccomendations like Le Freti for raclette and the drive up to Semnoz. He was our holiday planner!

Beware: BLACK MOLD! Bathroom has a black mold smell and the grout is covered in black mold. If you care about your health, do not stay at this hotel. They also do not seem to care that black mold exists and did not seem surprised. We had to leave France early because my 5 month old son got extremely sick from this hotel and breathing in the unhealthy air. Location is decent. No vehicle parking or street access which is an inconvenience with luggage. Not suitable for a family or anyone with a stroller. No instructions once you find the hotel on how to get to the reception. Confusing hotel. Knowing we had an infant, we were given a room with a set of stairs to our floor and a step directly in front of our door. Inside the room were also steps. Very inconvenient and shows staff and management have no clue what’s going on. Why put a family with an infant in a room with a set of stairs and a bunch of steps? We had to end our trip early because my son was extremely sick and we had no where to go. Staying in the hotel would have made him more sick. If you care about your health and your families health, stay somewhere else.

Wonderful location for exploring Annecy, the canals and lake and very convenient for restaurants and shopping. Pricey for size of the room, though bed was comfortable and service welcoming. GPS suggested we could drive to hotel entrance--not true. Parked blocks away, thankfully subsidized by hotel, but had to lug bags from car park to hotel.
