Hotel du Palais de l'Isle Annecy

Best hotel we stayed in during an 8 day France trip. We stayed in a suite with balcony, I HIGHLY recommend you book this room. The price is a good value but the view is incredible, you are right above all the action and it’s beyond gorgeous. All the staff we met were kind and professional, I had zero issues with this hotel. Location is prime, just be ready to search a few garages for parking if you’re coming during high season and peak time of day. Thanks for such an amazing stay!

This is a cute little place with 33 rooms in the heart of the old city in the middle of Annecy, France, a city with mountains and a lake. Annecy is nicknamed the "Venice of the Alps" on lake Annecy, the cleanest lake in Europe and is the Gateway to the Elite part of the Alps. The hotel has apparently been modified from one of the ancient buildings of old Annecy with odd shaped rooms tucked into corners and a spiral stone staircase to access the floors, as well as a modern but small elevator. The room we were in had a modern bathroom and was decorated artistically with a window overlooking a bustling back street filled with restaurants and glacee stands. We had no shortage of excellent restaurants within 2 blocks in any direction and easily within walking distance to the lake front. I would definitely stay in this same hotel if I get the chance to return!

Great location near all restaurants and shops in Annecy. The hotel itself is very clean and with a great level of service where we felt very welcomed. Our room had an awful view over the "courtyard" which was unfortunate. Other than that we had a great stay!

The hotel was in the perfect location, near shops, restaurants, and cafés. The rooms were spacious and clean but very basic. There is no real lobby in the hotel. The small elevator opens up to the breakfast room where you are greeted by a person sitting at a small desk. The hotel is a good value, but we were looking for something with a few more amenities.

This is a lovely hotel. The staff I interacted with were really friendly and welcoming. The room was a single room, and was clean with a comfortable bed. The shower was great and towels fluffy. One thing I would say is that the door to the bathroom is clear - not a problem for me as I was alone (and think my room was meant for one). Not sure if other room types have the same set up but may be worth checking as, if you’re sharing a room, depending on who you’re travelling with, this may not be suitable. That isn’t meant as a criticism at all - just think it’s something I would want to know in advance. The location was perfect as it’s close to the beautiful Lake Annecy, and also close to lots of bars / restaurants nearby. It also felt really safe as a solo female traveller. Would definitely highly recommend this hotel.

Super dog friendly hotel! Location is incredible. We had a city view room, but there are rooms that view the lake. The staff were all so friendly and gave our dog lots of cuddles! The lift is very small, a bit of a squeeze and the rooms were small, but perfect for what we wanted for the night

This place is very cute and charming in the center of the city with really kind and helpful staff. My only issues were that the air conditioning was not working very well and the curtains did not keep out the city street lights (which are on all night) which made it difficult for me to sleep. This was probably made worse due to jet lag and the time difference as we had recently traveled to Europe.

We booked the emperor suite with a balcony overlooking the canal. The room was bright, airy and comfortable and perfectly located in the heart of the old town. Breakfast is available if you want it but we ate out. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and appreciated my efforts to converse in French!||Annecy is beautiful with lots to do if you love the outdoors. We hired bikes and cycled round the lake. Although a bit early for beach days, there are plenty of spots dotted around the lake to sunbathe, relax and soak in the scenery.

The check in process was simple. I treated myself to the suite and had an amazing view of the canal with a balcony. The bed was a bit hard, but I slept great. They gave me a ticket to comp my parking in the garage. I had a great experience here. In the middle of anything you'd want.

Super great location. Good clean room. Exactly as promoted but the convenience of the location is extraordinary. Very helpful staff prepared with maps, and other information. We parked in the City Hall parking space across the street and rolled our bags over. It was a short couple of blocks and there were elevators in the garage and the hotel. It was an easy roll and not challenging. It is a good idea to map out the location so you can find the place ahead of time as though the shop owners and locals are very helpful it is hard to understand their French and most people we encountered did not speak English - though they do at the hotel.

What a charming hotel! My wife and I spent two great nights here in March, and we couldn't have been happier with the hospitality, location, and accommodations. I imagine if you come in the busier months, you'll want to book ahead.
