I know this hotel from the famous parties they throw every Thursday night. The rooftop is super cozy and nicely decorated, music is good, people are nice. The pizza also seems to be amazing.||I've had good times there. Definitely worth coming by on Thursday night (+ afterparty at So' Beach)

It's rooftop bar is a nice place to enjoy draft beer and varoius 🍕 while watching the rotating light of the Mamelles lighthouse. Pizza is baked in oven. It tastes good. This hotel used to be a perfect place to enjoy the night view of the monument of the African Renaissance, built in 2010. Due to recent buildings surrounding the hotel, it is not possible to see it anymore.

While seemingly off the beaten track, this hotel is in the right place to be quiet and tranquil, yet accessible to main roads and beyond. The rooms are simple, yet adequate (and for the price). The rooftop bar/pizza is the best ... and with a view of the famous lighthouse (which is reachable by foot). And while the public areas are simple, they are comfortable and cozy that makes sitting around just a good thing, too.

What did I just pay for??? Who made this budget hotel cost so much?? The only thing this place has going for it is a nice (rich) neighbourhood and a good pizza oven. The rooms are very basic, the hot water in the bathroom doesn’t work, the breakfast is pitiful and overpriced (2,000 CFA for bread and butter??), and the rooftop terrace it boasts about is totally overrated. The view is mediocre, the place is crowded and very noisy at night, and covered with the previous evening’s garbage in the morning. The pictures online might look nice, but this hotel feels like just an afterthought- just something to do with the space under the rooftop bar. They should lower the prices to match the service/accommodation, then I wouldn’t be disappointed. One thing I will say in praise- they seem to have the fastest wifi in all of west Africa, so thanks for that.

It's a very nice place to stay a few night in Dakar, comfortable rooms equipped with all essentials. Friendly staff.||Breakfast is not included, but you can order it in the patio. Good start of the day.||||However, the best asset of the hotel is the rooftop terrace and bar. Great atmosphere!

Visited my sister in Dakar and we went several times to the upstairs bar/dining area as there was the football European Championship and Hôtel Du Phare offers big screens to watch it. ||||I was not a guest at the hotel, so I cannot comment on the rooms, but I can say the terrace is lovely and the service is also okay. We had both pizza and burgers and both were good - pizza was a surprise, and I'm Italian. The terrace is a nice space for parties, for dinners and also for a nice evening with friends enjoying a few drinks.||||We also managed to catch one evening where they were showing a movie and that was nice - around 15/20 seats and the volume/quality was goood.||||When in Dakar I will be back.

Affordable hotel in Dakar with great roof-top bar location. The rooms were basic but clean. Located on dirt road behind the mini-car stop at round point Mamelles, about 400-500 meters. Recommended to call for reservations, but walk-ins don't seem like an issue unless you want a particular room. We opted for the shared bathroom and it was clean and not an issue. Would have no problem doing this again.

The receptionist is very friendly and (the owner ?) responded to emails promptly. I appreciate that. But I didn’t find neither the facility nor the services to be worthy of $70 per night. There are much cleaner, nicer, and cheaper places in Dakar - I found out later.
