I wanted to be as close to Paris center as possible without paying exorbitant prices. This hotel fit the bill. The location is very quiet and safe. Every night we'd get out of the metro, it was like we were going home. It's very close to the metro, only 2 minutes walking. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. They always greeted us with smiling faces. Jennifer was a perfect hostess! ||The room was very small. It was smaller than an inside cabin on a cruise ship. The space on each side of the bed was very narrow. The space at the foot of the bed was small. There was a small closet and a small table and chair. The room was too small for a double bed. It might have been ok with a twin bed. I guess it might be a European standard. The bathroom was very small also. A small soap and body wash was provided. We could not figure out if the air conditioning worked. We were not able to make it do a thing. The walls were very thin. You could hear people walking in the hallways or moving in their rooms. We could sometimes hear people in the street also but that was generally rare because it was a quiet area. The floor in our room and hallways squeaked so it transferred the sound. We had to use a sound device to create the sound of the rain quite loud in order to drown out the squeaks of other spaces above and outside our room. ||We Didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as we wanted to purchase what we wanted from the bakeries. They had coffee and hot water in the lobby.||If the staff was not as pleasant as they were, I would have given 3 stars because of the small room and the lack of sound proofing. If the room was larger and felt more like a hotel than an old apartment, I would have given 5 stars.

This was my second stay at Hotel Du Printemps. Last time was 10 years ago. The hotel is nicely located in a very nice neighborhood. There are so many cafes & restaurants & bars within easy walking distance. It is not a very touristy area, it is a real neighborhood. The adjoining areas are also very pleasant. There are very easy & good transport options nearby so an excellent base for exploring Paris generally. The hotel itself is in good shape & for Paris, the rooms are a good size. This means small, but not too small! The hotel is well air-conditioned which is very welcome. Overall, I cannot fault the hotel, staff & service. I will certainly return.

Jennifer and Julien are wonderful, gracious people who helped us with our many requests for assistance. They are both sweet and kind. Your breakfast staff is also very good. You have a great hotel. Thank you for making our time in Paris so easy and pleasant.

The hotel is well situated for getting about the city with Nation metro station as well as Picpus nearby. The area feels safe so long as you are diligent (as you should be in any major city).||||The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. We had an issue with the bathroom which was promptly solved. All in all would recommend. Fantastic stay.

Hotel is in an attractive neighborhood with several cafes and convenient location to metro station. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Facility had a small but well-appointed outdoor enclosed patio for relaxing with coffee and pastries from nearby bakery. Rooms are somewhat small but worth the price of lodging.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. All the staff were friendly and always ready to help. The location is very convenient — close to both Nation and Picpus metro stations. The hotel has a lift which made it easier to manage luggage. Highly recommended!

Google
The room was small and there was a big step when you entered the room, which I didn’t know, and then twisted my ankle and fell hard on my knee. So that would have been nice to know beforehand. But it was very close to the nation metro stop, which we used many times in our short stay here. Good for a place to stay, not a place you’ll be hanging out at for long periods, in my opinion.

The rooms are tiny but well designed. The walls are pretty thin though! Breakfast was great. Great value. The freah cold water machine was a very nice touch and the air conditioning was so welcome. The Street was lovely and very quiet. Easy to access several metro lines. Staff were so friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Prices are right, especially considering that breakfast is included. Breakfast is a casual, serve-yourself affair downstairs with great quality croissants, eggs that you can boil yourself, cheeses, hams, fruit, yogurts, etc. Very nice! Rooms, while small, are very comfortable and clean. TV should be a bit better for relaxing at night. Bathrooms are TINY, but very nice and modern. They should stop allowing smoking in the courtyard, as all it does is waft into everyone's rooms. It would be great for them to provide more detailed info printed in various languages for their customers to show exactly how to get to the two-three closest Metro stations, as only one is VERY close. Nice neighborhood, multiple mini-markets nearby.

Yelp
I have just returned from staying at this hotel for the past 8 days. I probably would have rated this 4 starts if it hadn't been under renovation. The good: - Friendly staff (with the exception of the Asian woman who cleans the breakfast bar area and seemed very upset that I kept wanting hot water from her) but the front desk people were amazing. - Clean rooms. Super clean. The housekeeping was exceptional. - Very affordable - Free Internet - Lots of good restaurants nearby - Located at the Nation metro stop which is a hub and connects to a bunch of metros (probably half of them) - They have rooms that accommodate 3 people (3 separate twin beds) so it's good for travelling with a group. It would be a really really good place to stay with 2 friends, the rate would be great split 3 ways. - EXCELLENT water pressure in the shower. Seriously. It was amazing. The bad: - It's at the Nation metro stop which is pretty far from downtown. It's a 35m walk from Bastille or Marais districts and a 10-15m metro ride. You have to leave this neighbourhood to get to anything cool. I think it's a fair trade for the price and cleanliness though. - When I was staying here they were renovating. It was very annoying. 2 mornings out of 8 I was woken up before 0800 by hammering and sawing and one morning there was no hot water. - No safe available. I had to carry my passport the entire week 100% of the time because there was nowhere to leave it. Major fail. Money belts are SO uncomfortable when it's 30 degrees out. - Hairdryer sucks. - 8 EUR for continental breakfast. Just go to the bakery around the corner for 1.20 EUR. - While the internet was free, it was also slow and unreliable. It seemed to work better with my iphone than with my laptop. Overall, I would probably not stay here again because of the distance to downtown. However, the hotel is very clean and the price was right.

Yelp
I stayed here 3 nights on Sep 20-23 on Hoonymoon. I'll give this hotel 4 stars because overall it was a good experience. Clean rooms, friendly staff, near a metro. That being said, my review is aimed at Americans or non-french speakers. This hotel is located in a not too touristic part of Paris. Many of the people in the street/shops/restaurants near by did not really speak much English. Not really a problem and i'm sure you can get by with a smile and a few words. I didn't like that you had to hand in and pick up your room key each time you entered or left the hotel. They use actual keys and not keycards... Skip the paid breakfast plenty of cheap sandwich shops nearby. I used the picpus metro which connected to the main line that took us to all the touristic spots. There wasn't much taxis in the area so transportation could be an issue.

Yelp
I stayed with a friend at this hotel during first week of September 2015. I can't say enough positive things about the hotel, including the breakfast served every morning. The staff is friendly, especially Yousef and Saed at the front desk. They were AMAZING !!!! The rooms are super clean; very affordable; FREE internet made it possible for me to travel without carrying along my lap top; assorted and reasonable restaurants nearby. While it is not downtown, I'm a writer and prefer to be "off the beaten path." Pick a room with separate twin beds, like we did. ENJOY!!!!

Yelp
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights on our first visit to Paris last summer. Staff was really friendly and helped us a lot in finding great things to do. The room was a little small but well decorated and with A/C. Everything looked modern as the place has been renovated recently. It's not in the heart of the city but a short metro ride to anywhere exciting, including Disneyland. It was also easy to go to the airport when we left. Overall we had an amazing stay in Paris and this little charming hotel helped a lot. Would definitely go back on my next visit.
