Hotel Duca D'Aosta

Excellent stay, so much so I extended. The room are spacious, clean and modern. The staff were very accommodating arranging cake & prosecco in the room for a birthday. There is a patisserie in the hotel which is amazing. We didn’t option for breakfast but had an excellent take away coffee in the morning. Brilliant location in the heart of Aosta with restaurants very close. 15 minute walk to pila gondola or 10 at a faster pace. I couldn’t fault the hotel, we will definitely book again for skiing.

Our stay at Hotel Duca d’Aosta was very, very good. The service was uncomplicated. Breakfast was not included in our booking, but it was no problem to add it on location. Our room with a double bed was very clean. There was enough space, with a nice bedroom and bathroom. It was cleaned daily and very well, and we did not even have to ask. The lobby atmosphere with the old piano, the bookshelf and the very comfortable chairs was perfect to wait for a moment or just take a short break. In the evening it was very quiet. We did not hear the neighboring rooms at all and there was no noise from outside either. For some reason we still did not sleep that well, but it was not because of the bed. A big advantage was the very close parking. It was only about 50 meters away. Sometimes it was a bit difficult to find a spot, but after a few minutes of waiting we always found one. I would definitely come again. The prices are absolutely reasonable and very fair for a four star hotel.

We have just stayed at this wonderful hotel. The location is ideal for walking around the historic centre and for the Pila cable car. There are also many excellent restaurants a short walk from the hotel. All of the staff are exceptionally helpful, polite and friendly, with nothing being too much trouble. The room is very comfortable and clean and the hotel welcoming. We would thoroughly recommend for your stay in Aosta and we have already rebooked for Christmas!

I had a great stay at this hotel. The location couldn’t be better—everything I needed was just a short walk away. The atmosphere was cosy and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My room was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. Overall, a simple, pleasant experience that made the trip even better.

The hotel is in the perfect location. Old city is around the corner. We faced the street so a bit noisy. The hotel and rooms were nice - nothing fancy but solid. The room was a bit small and did not have a bathtub. Make sure you book parking prior to arrival - only six spots. front desk team was great. they gave us great restaurant recos. breakfast and staff were great. we did a day trip to monte bianco.

We had a mixed experience in our stay at Duca D’Aosta … the location for town centre is great and it is very easy to find places to eat etc. the room was small but as expected. Our challenge was the parking and the hotels attitude to dealing with the miscommunication - first we are English and our confirmation email that explained parking was €16 a day and needed to prebook was in Italian so we had no idea we needed to prebook parking nor pay). They never told us face to face it was €16 a day at their sister hotel so we parked there after a couple of days parking at the gondola and carrying a toddler and ski gear all the way there. The parking at the other hotel was the hardest park I have ever done in my life! Almost scratched the hire car many times. Then at the end of our stay they surprised us with €16 a day for the pleasure of walking 5 mins to the car each day with a toddler and nearly scratching the car. If you are not a very confident driver do not park there!! They didn’t care that we would be complaining online. Honestly if you have kids and are skiing I wouldn’t stay here it made our days hard work with a tired kid at the end of the day.

We spent 3 days in Aosta. Hotel is in a great location next to old city center. Hotel was nice. Room was a bit small and no tub - shower only. breakfast was good. make sure you reserve parking before you get there.

We spent 5 nights here, comfortably based to explore the Val d'Aosta. The hotel is quiet and comfortable and well located in the center of Aosta's "old town." Staff is helpful and polite and the room was spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast is good and the coffee is excellent. Hotel parking is limited but the paid lot is not far; one can unload and load luggage at the hotel before going to park.
