My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Dupond-Smith during our trip in July (we stayed for 3 or 4 nights). The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Le Marais—so you’re steps away from amazing cafes, shops, and galleries. Yet the hotel sits on a quiet side street, making it a peaceful retreat from the buzz of the neighborhood. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure and was easy to use—little things that made a big difference. All in all, it’s a charming boutique hotel that I’d gladly recommend to anyone looking to stay in this part of Paris.

You can even walk to Notre-Dame and the Seine in under 15 minutes.||||Food & Dining:||While the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, the staff gave us incredible local recommendations. We loved being able to dine somewhere different each night—there’s no shortage of fantastic spots within a 5–10 minute walk. Bonus: there’s an honesty bar in the lobby for a quiet drink at night.||||Service:||This might be what sets Hôtel Dupond-Smith apart the most. The staff was warm, discreet, and genuinely helpful. This hotel is perfectly situated in the Le Maris neighborhood, close to restaurants, metros, and shopping, yet tucked away on a quiet street. It's within walking distance of iconic landmarks like Cathedrale Notre Dame, Sainte-Chapelle, the Seine River, and Place des Vosges. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating, even providing homemade sweets in the evenings. We were able to store our luggage after an early arrival and explore the city. The room was spacious and well-stocked, especially considering its prime location. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Really good hotel in the middle of what is essentially New York's Soho and Fifth Avenue combined. Hipsters as far as the eye can see. The room is small (no different than any other hotel in Paris) but amazing. Good AC. The staff here are amazing. They'll point out where to go for whatever you need.

We had an early arrival and were able to store our bag until the room was ready but welcome lacked the sparkle and attention to detail associated with a 5-star boutique hotel. The room was very spacious which is quite rare for Paris, we were upgraded to the next category which was a nice touch. Bathroom was huge and had quality toiletries. Quiet room allowed for a good overnight sleep and location was second to none right in the heart of Le Marais. Service from reception could be much better, it felt cold and indifferent, we weren’t told about the welcome drink or asked if we had enjoyed on departure, it was more transactional rather than aiming to create an experience. Lobby lacked ambience and felt a bit claustrophobic.
