So... how should I start. the best thing about this hotel is the restaurant next to it. It seems it's under new management and the food and service is amazing. Check it out!. No back to the hotel. I wouldn't stay here for more than one day. The room was clean( they have windowless rooms so beware) but they there is such a weird feeling in the hotel... daily cleaning service is bed straightening? hahahaha ... anyway... to be honest... choose another hotel where they actually clean your room and change the towels but try their restaurant. For one day is good and the location is great.

Nice boutique hotel with lots of art pieces from sculptures to paintings to art installations. Location in the middle of the Makati CBD. No worries for an early breakfast or some late night snacks as there are so many establishments around.

Amazing place, would stay here again when in Manila. Can’t be the location. Rooms don’t have windows but did not mind that at all, nice and quiet.

The only good thing about this place is the front office lady - Crystal. She is friendly, a problem solver and a listener to guest’s issue. My only question is - is it so hard to provide a proper blanket rather than a piece of thin white sheet? Even a hostel can give a proper blanket.

My Go to hotel in Manila . It's an old building but well maintained rooms. Rooms looks old but clean. Beds mattress are farm side. I didn't like it. Decent price hotel. Durban provide top notch customer service. Everything close by like 7eleven, Restaurants, bar etc . Towels, shampoo and drinking water provided.

This was our second time staying at Hotel Durban and we’d stay again if we came back through Manila in the future. Everything works, the room is basic but comfortable with enough space and a nice bathroom for the price. WiFi was pretty inconsistent. The restaurant downstairs was fantastic.

Just make sure you don't leave your belongings after checking out because they will tell you that they have not seen it.

Room was not cleaned, there was hair on the walls and a cockaroach in the restroom. There was very loud outside noise. It's cheap, that's the only plus.

Yelp
I stayed in Hotel Durban around the time of my birthday. They were a few renovations going on at the time and it was a bit noisy. Also, some rooms have no windows (like mine). If you don't like feeling claustrophobic, request for a room with windows. But, for the price, service, cleanliness and location, this is still great value for money. They also have a restaurant that serves delicious Italian food if you are too lazy to walk around Poblacion. Staff are still well trained and provide excellent service. It is conveniently placed at the center of Poblacion. This means the best food and bars are literally a walk away from the door. A'Toda Madre is right across from you and I do recommend you have their Tequila Flight with some of their tacos. Also, Century City Mall is a short walk away if you're looking to do some shopping. Overall, it was affordable and sufficient for my needs. I would definitely recommend this hotel for female solo travelers looking for a safe boutique hotel in Makati! :)

Yelp
When I choose a hotel, I look for value for money. Yes, I would like to spend as little money as possible, but I don't want to stay in a condemned building doing so. Is it too much to ask for our hotel rooms to be rodent-free and not smelling of piss and depression? I don't think it is. Hotel Durban stands out for me because it offers fantastic value for what you're paying. The hotel itself has a restrained classiness to it, and it's lobby has "boutique" written all over it. The rooms are comfortable enough, although most of them have no windows. The hotel also has its own restaurant, Farfalla, that serves Italian and continental choices. They even make their own bread and pasta, which is great. If you're game for it, choose a seat outdoors and watch the chaos and characters of Makati's tourist belt go by in front of you. It's fun in a weird way, trust me. Hotel Durban's rates are quite good, ranging from P1,600 - P2,500 (The latter gets you a window, yey). For that you get a fashionable hotel with a nice comfy bed, right in the middle of Makati's tourist district. If you're on a budget, this is a steal of a place.

Yelp
Great location in Makati. Waking distance to restaurants, some night life, and malls. Clean, safe, great AC, warm water/ shower. These are things that you may not always get in the Philippines when you look at more affordable lodging. The staff was very helpful. The Philippine bills were changed out this year and I had some old bills from the last visit to the Philippines. One of the ladies at the front desk accompanied me down the street to the bank and begged them to help me out. Unfortunately it was way past the deadline to get my bills exchanged for new ones. However, this was a testament to their outstanding costumer service. Make sure you have cash on hand for the deposit. (And make sure they are the new bills!)
