With an incredibly friendly staff and affordable rooms, Hotel Duse is a great way to stay in Asolo. My single room was small but didn't lack anything I needed or wanted. The wifi is good and the rooms are air-conditioned, which is a life saver during the hot season. Breakfast is basic but good. Be prepared to meet Gabriella, who will insist that you eat more. Around the hotel are many restaurants, bars, and shops. There is also a nice walk up to a small castle with an amazing view.

We loved our 1 night stay in Asolo at the Hotel Duse. The room was spacious and well appointed. Best pillows and bathroom of our entire 2 weeks in Italy! It is located right on the square, easy walk to everything. The town is utterly charming. The church is right next door so be prepared for a bell "wake-up" call....but that is part of the charm.

Alessandro speaks English very well and Gabriella not so much (not any), but her heart is definitely on display. We enjoyed our stay in the lovely town of Asolo. It is the perfect location for an architect interested in Scarpa and Palladio, plus the Prossecco road is very nearby, too. For us a car was necessary, but A and G helped us find parking and kept an eye out to make sure we didn't get ticketed. The rooms are not new but the bath was recently remodeled and everything was very clean. I can highly recommend the Hotel Duse.

We stayed only one night but it was lovely. We left feeling like family. The room was clean and of ample size. It was a Jr. Suite with 2 bathrooms, small but fine. Gabriella makes up for not speaking English(though why should she, we were visiting her country) with her warmth and enthusiasm. Alessandro is fluent in English and very helpful. This hotel also had a B&B feel to it. The location was perfect and it accomplished what we were looking for - a relaxing vacation, off the beaten track.

Not everyone would like this hotel, but I found it charming. It is a tad worn, but it is perfectly situated in Asolo, and the innkeeper helped us find parking despite the presence of a major antique market during our visit. The fact that our room was relatively spacious and that it overlooked an alley more than compensated for the frayed carpet. lThe breakfast was simple, and the lady who served it spoke almost no English. On the other hand, I speak almost no Italian, and our server overflowed with goodwill. It's not the Westin, but it perfectly embodies the small European hotel that I love.

My boyfriend and I fled Venice and headed to the hills for a romantic getaway to Asolo, based on a faint memory he had of it being nice ten years earlier. We had no idea where we were going to stay, but the man at the local cafe pointed us to Duse. Gabriella was extremely warm and helpful, and we felt like we were getting the real Italian experience being with her. Couldn't have asked for a more serendipitous and lovely hospitality experience!

The Hotel Duse is as charming as the hostess. Her restaurant recommendations were flawless and we were pleased that she pushed us to use our growing Italian language skills. If you need an escape from Venice and Rome and Florence, go to Asolo and stay at the Hotel Duse. You will be glad you did.

Just check in to this lovely small hotel which is a very old building. My single room is very small but very comfy and cozy, the bathroom is a very good size and very clean. The man at the reception was so kind and nice, he will try his best to enjoy his city. And the location is in the middle of the city and there is a very close by parking if you are driving but it's not free.
