I used the amano web site to book a room. This was a short notice booking for a quick trip to dusseldorf. I used my phone to look up the hotel on Google maps, clicked the web site link, then selected the location and started booking. One step further, the web app again had a drop-down selector for the location. In this step the location I chose had been reset to some default location in Berlin. The drop-down did not display this in my phone screen. I proceeded with he booking, thinking that the mention of Berlin in he confirmation page was because amano group is based there. After booking and paying in full, I realized the room had been booked at the wrong location. I called I to get this resolved, saying I would still honor the booking but at the location in Dusseldorf, which had availability, even paying a higher rate, and the rep refused, saying that according to the terms and conditions, and because this was such short notice, they will cancel he booking AND charge me for ALL THREE NIGHTS.
A web site UI bug let do me being charged just over 500 EUR and I received nothing.
I would not recommend doing any business with this "establishment". Stay clear of predatory scammers. These guys don't operate their business in good faith.
