Clean and efficient hotel. Caters to tour groups. Stunning views and the rooms were comfortable. Breakfast is included, dinner is available if you do not have transportation to go into town, 15 minutes away. Highlight was given the remote location and not much light pollution we were able to see the northern lights very well behind the hotel. A thrill on our trip!

Since I was visiting with a group I wasn't given the opportunity to choose my hotel. If I ever was in the area again I would drive right by and not ever stay at this hotel again. The rooms are very plain. Using a key to get in and out of the room is a little outdated. When we returned one day our door was left unlocked from the cleaning staff. Beds were very uncomfortable since they didn't stay together and I almost fell through the crack. Only one pillow per person was not what I am use to. The tv didn't work. When I asked the front desk they said they only get two channels, BBC and another BBC. We tried using our Netflix account but we didn't have good reception. The buffet for breakfast and dinner each day (we were there for three days) I give a rating of no more that 3 out of 10. There is no where close to this hotel to eat or visit. You are in the middle of no where and from the outside resembles a motel 6. Our room was at the far end, so getting to the dining area literally took us 10 minutes to wrap our way through the hotel. So I am sure there are other places better than here and I would do my best to find one.

Great mid-range hotel with a large parking area and a lot of rooms! Main bonus of this hotel was that although it seems to be massive, you can walk all the way through to the reception/bar/restaurant without having to go outside. Given the weather when we were staying this was such a bonus! Unfortunately the weather meant we missed out on the spectacular views and also on seeing the Northern Lights from the hill behind the hotel, which we were told is a great place to spot them.|The room was a really good size for 3 people and we were able to park just outside it so that was helpful for moving cases around. The bathroom was large and clean, and breakfast in the morning was the best one we had all week with loads of choice.

Very nice hotel, comfortable room, bed and nice linens. Outside of town so it was good there was a restaurant, as we got there late. No problems with our reservation or check in. The hotel was quiet and since it was in a somewhat remote place (it seems most hotels are-Iceland has a lot of remote areas!), it was very quiet. The surrounding area was beautiful, overlooking a valley and ocean inlet.| |The restaurant was expensive (per our normal dining habits), but the meal was worth it. But really, it was no more expensive than a high end restaurant in the States and the food was excellent. I had salmon, my husband had lamb. Very nice service and staff. The breakfast in the morning was also very good with a lot of variety.

It was the biggest and most expensive hotel I stayed at during my ring road trip.||The room was very large, but definitely dated. Didn't love the carpet and the wallpaper was loose on most of the wall, definitely not what I would expect for these prices. The bathroom was excellent and I did appreciate that they have a gym. Quite a nice one actually, even has a squat rack. ||The location itself is gorgeous, such amazing views all around and easy travel to all the must-see places in the area. ||Be aware that there are big tour groups that stay here.

Nice hotel, warm rooms, heated bathrooms. Good view from the dining area. Staff were good. Had a good time. Enjoyed their buffet. The location is on a hill, hence very windy. A lot of parking space for cars.

Great choice for Vik area- high on a hill overlooking Black sand beach. Dark enough for a great northern lights show!Huge breakfast buffet with plentiful choices and staff kept it filled up and tables clean. Room was comfortable and roomy with space to set luggage out. Was extremely busy, but rooms were quiet.
