Hotel Eagle's Nest

Fantastic stay at this hotel. Friendly staff - especially Alfredo who was our interpreter for our stay and organised our booking from initial enquiry. Great food and wine at the Hotel so make sure you book half board. Entertainment on Saturday nights. Pool area was nice with outside seating for after dinner drinks. Fantastic location about 300m from the Cable Car which takes you to the plateau up the mountain where you can go walking or visit the bars and restaurants up there. Will definitely return to this little gem of a hotel.

Comfortable clean well appointed room with good value at the price offered. Breakfast very nice with excellent espresso and good choices for my young family. The dinner was the best we've eaten in Italy. Just excellent and priced incredibly fairly considering the quality. It was just outstanding. BUT, the big winner was the staff both evening and morning. Our evening waiter was just the warmest person with so much friendliness and time to make the kids feel special. The breakfast attendant was also super friendly and we loved them both. Thanks gents, we wish we stayed longer. You are marvellous!

Convenient to explore Gran Sasso and with a level of comfort above average for the area, the biggest strengths of this hotel are its excellent service and its delicious cuisine, which is traditional but with a touch of finesse. In fact, most guests opt for half board, which includes a 4-course dinner: starter, first course (either pasta or rice), second course (meat with side), dessert. We are not big eaters and originally only booked for b&b, but eventually ate there daily, although not the full meal. Dining prices are not on display but I believe the full meal would cost 28 euros; looked like eating less was unusual as they had to work out a customised bill for us.||||There are different types of rooms and we had a triple room, room 107 (first floor, no lift) which was spacious and with a nice view, at the front of the hotel (facing west). Lots of good things as mentioned in the reviews. Clean, updated rooms, good amenities. But, there was a family of mice in the walls that kept us awake from 3am to 7am and the hotel didn't seem to care that we lost the sleep. Otherwise, it was great. Won't be returning.

This was our third stay in Nido dell'Aquila. We were not disappointed! We very much enjoyed our five nights here. We had a very spacious, renovated room. The family running the hotel were most welcoming. The room and ensuite were spotlessly clean. We had a first class meal, with very good service, in the restuarant on our arrival. It was great that breakfast started at 7 am (we are very keen walkers). The breakfast was very good. We look forward to our next stay!

This Hotel has a nice Location, super friendly staff, modern decor and a really good restaurant. All comes at a very decent budget. Thus five star rating. |Breakfast was typical Italian. Ok but somewhat small selection. The rest is top notch.

The stay at this hotel in mid-spring was very good. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The doors need some adjustment though; they are very tight and make a lot of noise when opening and closing.||||The quality of the on-site restaurant is also very good. Their house wine, which has the hotel's label on it, is worth a try.||||Staff is very friendly. I would come back to this hotel if I visit Assergi again.

Just back from this hotel , the hotel was spotless ,cleaned every day all the staff were really nice and helpful, we went self catering and on one occasion decided to eat in the hotel restaurant and am sad to say we regretted it ! We ordered chicken breast ,chips and salad! The chicken was really tough and chewy ! Couldn't eat it ! The pool area was nice and quiet and again spotless! We had a fantastic view from our room of the sea but sadly absolutely no sun obmn the balcony, making it quite cold .
