Hôtel Eastwest by Malone

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the main railway station and a short walk from Lake Geneva. The reception was very friendly and helpful at check-in. Our room was a good size and had plenty of room for 2 suitcases. The bathroom was large with plenty of room and with a separate shower and bathtub. The air-conditioning worked well. The hotel and the room could do with a makeover, but everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was adequate. Several streets leading to the railway station seemed to belong to a red-light district, but they were easy to avoid.

Rating: 4.5 (rounding up to 5)||Check-in was smooth, quick, and friendly. Staff were helpful and accommodated with personal requests for the room.||Breakfast was a highlight—delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Homemade cakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, quality meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, nuts, and seeds were all available. Coffee was made to order, and everything was of excellent quality. A lovely way to start the day.||The room was quiet and air-conditioned, which made for a comfortable night’s sleep. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the robe provided was incredibly soft—such a nice touch.||Location-wise, it's an easy walk from the train station and well-situated for exploring the city. However, I didn’t realize the hotel was located on the edge of the red light district—something to keep in mind if that’s a consideration for you. That said, it still felt like a good, central location overall.||Only a couple of small downsides: the breakfast room felt quite tight and a space that seemed like it should have been an outdoor courtyard was enclosed, making it stuffy and overly warm.||All in all, a very comfortable stay with great service and an excellent breakfast. I’d happily return.

Hello, ||||I want to tell you that my family had such a lovely stay at EastWest in Geneva.|||| A receptionist, Virginia, was very kind, patient, and helped me with some questions that I had about the hotel. The maid, Amara, was an extraordinary housekeeper and made our room fresh as a daisy. The waiter at breakfast, Diego, was so busy and he helped us with coffee and tea, and plates, etc., excellent job! The chef, Erwan, smiled, and made us feel very welcomed, bravo. This hotel is conveniently located between the train station and Lake Geneva, within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. The location is not as upscale as the areas on the lake, but the price and the high quality of the hotel’s interior makes it a very attractive choice. The staff is helpful and added the enjoyment of my stay.

Don't be deceived by the reception and hallway. The rooms are renovated, functional, and quiet. The hotel is conveniently located near the lake and the train station, with plenty of fantastic restaurants and shopping options in the charming old town area nearby.

The Proximity to lake is great. Nothing beats the jet lag than a walk or run with an amazing view. I had a balcony which made for a local experience. The hotel is lucky to have very friendly staff and amazing cleaning personell. The room was spotless.

They were able to fully accommodate our trip with our baby including a crib and giving us access a freezer for our freezer packs to make milk easy to keep cold through the day. The room was up to date and felt leaning towards luxury with robes and an in room fridge. The staff was the highlight and were amazing for our stay this weekend. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Booked this hotel, looking for a boutique experience in Geneva. I was moved to my least favourite chain hotel 1 hour before check-in, with no consultation apparently due to an issue with my room. Effectively downgrading me whilst still charging me full price. The least they could have done is call me or put me somewhere better, but to downgrade me with no consulation was appalling. Words can't express how annoyed I was, hence why I would not recomend or book this hotel again.
