Hôtel Écologique BelleVue Marseille

Great hotel for a stay in Marseille. Really good location in the old port - 250 metres from the metro and right amongst shops and bars. We arrived by train and it was only a 5 minute taxi ride away (cost 8 euros). Staff were great. We booked a superior room with a view of the old port and the view was amazing - good double glazing meant the room was quiet. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was really good. The hotel bar was great - lovely atmosphere and fun staff and the 1st floor balcony gave you a great view of the port. The breakfast was very good too. Very happy to recommend this hotel.

Staying in the corner room with its stunning views was a luxurious experience, complemented by exceptional cleanliness, elegant and well-maintained interior design, delicious sweet breakfasts, and friendly, attentive staff. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, style, and outstanding service.

A total gem! We were thrilled by the superior location, amazing view of the Vieux Port, comfortable room and bed, helpful and kind staff, and delightful and delicious La Caravelle restaurant on the second floor. We would return to the Hotel Bellevue in a heartbeat.

Terrible experience with reservations. Their website was counterintuitive and awful. I called for assistance, and was told it "was not possible" for them to help me because I had to use the website. I used the website and ended up booking for the wrong year. I called and emailed to try to fix the problem and was repeatedly told "it's not possible" for them to help me. They denied me a refund, denied me changing the dates, and denied me any sort of discount on new rooms. I have multiple email exchanges in French and English that simply blow my mind with such poor, unhelpful customer service. We ultimately booked with a place on the other side of the Port and had an amazing time. I will never bother with this place ever again. If you decide to risk booking a reservation here, you've been warned.

This is a fantastic wee hotel. Firstly, the location is right on the Vieux Port. The views are gorgeous, and the nightly rate is reasonable bearing this in mind. The staff are one of the hotel's greatest assets - dedicated to excellent customer service, cheerful and friendly. I felt unwell in the 35 degree heat on the day of our check-in and they allowed me to check in 2 hours early free of charge. They took our cases on the day of departure to allow us to sightsee. Atmospheric hotel in a very atmospheric city. Must book a room overlooking the old port - the heart of the city: the splendid view includes the Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde on top of its hill - a bus climbs up there from just outside the hotel. There is also a really cool restaurant-bar in the hotel with a balcony with ditto views - ideal for breakfast and a late night drink - closes at 2am. Very charming staff. Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Marseilles.
