Hotel EDELWEISS Berchtesgaden

We recently spent nine nights at this hotel and can highly recommend. The rooms are very clean and bed was comfortable. We had half board and thought the food was of really high quality. Breakfast had lots of options including delicious bread, made to order eggs, excellent cheeses and more. Dinner was a feast every evening. High quality, creative menu options kept us looking forward to dinner every evening. Last, but certainly not least, were the staff. Each staff person we interacted with was competent, friendly and helpful. The hotel location was good for getting around the area. With the guest card buses are free and go everywhere. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel which is super convenient. We loved the hotel and the area and hope to return.

An awesome hotel in the equally awesome little mountain village of Berchtesgaden. Modern and comfortable with a tasteful south Germany decoration, 5 restaurants, really good, an outstanding fine food buffet breakfast and a well equipped gym and spa area. Make sure you go and have a look at the view from the rooftop.

Excellent hotel! Would rate higher if possible. Beautiful and convenient location. Staff welcoming and professional. Efficient check-in to include welcoming drink. First-rate rooms and common areas. Underground parking and a number of varied restaurant choices on-site. Nice amenities and just a great overall feel to the whole hotel. A must stay if in this historic area.

Tend to avoid 4 star hotels and their restaurants as so many are little more than over priced 3 stars. Had an evening meal in Restaurant EINKEHR. Sat outside to watch the world go by. Good menu and as the pizza section was so extensive we both opted for pizzas. A good idea as the base was perfect and the toppings were fresh and the topping quantities very generous. Service was friendly and slick. Biggest pleasant surprise was the price. No more than many many places charge for a far inferior product. Would highly recommend.

This hotel has everything you could ever want if Berchtesgaden. Many of the staff speak English, and most are very helpful. The rooms are made on a punctual manner and the meals are excellent. All of the amentities provided (pool, fitness, spa, etc) are well maintained, and they have something for everyone.

Our stay at the Hotel Edelweiss this Christmas was nothing short of excellent. This was our third stay at the hotel and we felt this review has been long overdue. The hotel itself is a true gem, especially around Christmas, to add to this the breathtaking views and luxurious yet cozy decor really make the experience unforgettable. ||Berchtesgaden itself is a winter wonderland at Christmas. Surrounded by the snow-covered Bavarian Alps, the setting is absolutely breathtaking and the Christmas market creates a charming atmosphere within the town itself with festive lights and decorations. Definitely worth the trip to stroll around the town and take in the magic of the holiday season and enjoy a Glühwein (or two…). ||However, what truly made our experience unforgettable were the staff. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout our stay. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile made us feel truly cared for. And a massive thank you to Simone in particular, who went above and beyond to make my sister’s birthday there truly special. We couldn’t think of a better way of spending our Christmas and we can’t wait to return next year, if not sooner!

Beautiful hotel with excellent food. Breakfast and dinner were both exquisite and the onsite bar is also great (although prices are a bit steep).
