Hotel Eden Spiez

This was a wonderful hotel situated between the railway station and the marina. All the staff were exceptional, always happy to help, always with a smile. There were 11 in our group including 2 under 6. Breakfast was excellent with items restocked as required. Good selection of cereal, cooked, cold meats, cheeses, breads and more. Rooms were very nice, comfortable with plenty of space. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The hotel is a 'conference' hotel meaning that you shouldn't get your hopes up about the exterior nor the interior. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the place, but if you are vacationing in the area of Thun / Interlaken you probably want something different. Although having read some other hotel reviews in the area where the reviewers complained about the lack of elevators in old wooden buildings I understand that a certain kind of traveler would appreciate this place.

Over-priced hotel. Room condition was good but you should manage your expectations on the services here. No good service at the breakfast. There were flies over the buffet food but the hotel staffs do not care about it at all. By the way, some local residents nearby seem not friendly to the tourists.

I loved this hotel and this town! The staff was so helpful and friendly. They arranged two amazing dinners for us and guided us away from the touristy options. One dinner was at Thun Castle which provided us with an incredible food and the other one was up in the mountains at a true authentic Suisse restaurant with a very salty waitress who gave us a good laugh. |The rooms were clean and bright with a balcony overlooking the lake and castle in Spiez, which was breathtaking. The hotel provided a delicious afternoon treat to all guests - cake, brownies. It is centrally located in this beautiful picturesque town. They also have a small gym if you want to workout. The only thing that was a little awkward is that the bathroom is not totally separate from the sleeping area.

Good location and amazing view… just don’t expect a warm welcome. After a long day of travel, we were hoping for some friendly hospitality—especially at this price point and based on the glowing reviews. Instead, the front desk staff greeted us with cold stares, attitude, and a guilt trip for needing the sofa bed made. For what it’s worth, we’ve stayed at plenty of hotels with the same request and were never met with this kind of attitude. Not sure if that was the issue or if we just showed up at a bad time. To be fair, the other staff seemed nice, but that first impression really set the tone, and we didn’t have much interaction with anyone else after that. Also worth noting: no air conditioning, and no pickup from the train station if you arrive after 5 PM. Definitely not the experience we were expecting.

This hotel is an absolute gem. It feels completely five stars from the friendliness of the people to the quality of everything the breakfast, the spa, the pool and the beautiful rooms. The front desk staff is so friendly thank you especially to Alex and everyone for making me feel so at home. I would recommend this to anybody travelling to Switzerland for the first time or to get more acquainted with the lake Thun region. The views are gorgeous and you have everything you could possibly want in this hotel. I really enjoyed it and felt VIP.

Loved my stay here! Staff was friendly and accommodating, and I appreciated the shuttle service to/from the train station. Breakfast options were generous, and it was relaxing to come back home to a spa at the end of the day. The view of the lake from the balcony is unmatched. Air conditioning here can take awhile to cool the entire room but got the job done. They also provide 2 bottles of water everyday!

GREAT HOTEL!Amazing breakfast with A la cart option, great view, amazing amenities with pools, sauna, spa, etc., and it’s fairly spacious.The room is great! I should have booked this hotel for all 5 nights in the area instead of going to a terrible but way more expensive Wengen hotel.WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL

Amazing spa! Make it an entire day and be sure to have breakfast or dinner at the hotel. Both were amazing. Would go back to Switzerland just for my day at hotel Eden Spiez.

I wish I could give 4.5 stars!! I am so happy we stayed in Spiez and we had a great time at Hotel Eden! We stayed in the apartments which was great since we had a child and needed the extra space. We were able to use the kitchen and cook several meals which we wouldn't have done if we stayed at the Hotel. I didn't realize when booking that we had to pay for the spa, or breakfast, seperately but we only used those amenities once so we were fine paying extra. It was PRIME location even with a stroller and everything was walkable. I wish the hotel staff checked in with us in the apartments once or twice during our 6 night stay to ensure we had enough pillows and towels but beside that, we absolutely loved our stay and would definitely come back.

We reserved the biggest corner hotel room, and the view was beyond beautiful. This is an all around gorgeous hotel. The food is amazing! Walking over to Schloss Spiez for swimming and people watching was fun.
