Hotel Eden54

This is the fourth time we have stayed here over a number of years. The staff and owners are the nicest people, and makes us feel at home. It is an older establishment but we had no complaints. Everything worked, and I personally love the beds and pillows. We made use of the communal area, having our breakfast everymorning and just lounging there when we had time. There is a high end supermarket and also a fruit seller/grocery just beside, and we had fresh fruit every day. Easy walk to Suria Mall, and the rest of Gaya Street. Also walking distance to the other attractions in town. And there are no elevators so there are stairs.

With only 24 Hours in KK, Eden 54 Boutique Hotel provided not only a safe & clean place to stay but it was also centrally located, surrounded by convenience for only rm138. Service was great too. Ms Ling Ling is available to assist. Eden 54 is next to Tong Hing Supermarket. Beside the entrance of Eden54 is a shop that sells CUT local fruit, whole fruit & fruit juice. Suria Mall is a 3 min walk round the corner. HSBC Bank, 2 min walk. Gayá St, depends where you want to reach - if it’s the tail end of Gayá St then 5 mins. If it’s the beginning end of Gayá St then 10mins. I draw my curtains & I see the back wall of Hyatt KK Centric Hotel. I didn’t rent a car as time was limited. But if you do, you have to Street Park (Paid). Probably rm1-2 an hour. During peak hours, you’d have to exercise patience but you can always find alternatives. How did I get from KKIA to Eden 54? Grab Cars costed rm12 (1.53pm). I went Sunset Stand Up Paddle (SUP) at Tanjung Aru by Borneo Paddle Monkeys. Grab Cars costed rm9 (3.50pm) & return was rm21 (6.38pm & raining). Before my flight, I was at Kokol Hillside for the best view in town. I have to say that the room that I stayed at was a bit dated but for the $, location, cleanliness, I’ll stay here again. Thumbs up: affordable price. Room ambient is acceptable. Clean. Located in gaya street where abundant food varieties. Near to suria shopping mall. Good wifi. Thumbs down: you can see a soap, shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. No toothbrush and paste.

The place is in the middle of the city.. few minutes to Suria Sabah & also nearby Gaya Street area.. the only problem is there is no bidet inside the toilet..

I booked a room without window but it actually has window but facing the common area, so make sure to close it. The hotel provide very basic amenities like shower cream and shampoo with one soap bar. Clean towels, hairdryer and coffee and tea. No bottle drinking water provided but they have water dispenser in front of the reception. The hotel has home vibes, they have common area as well. The furniture is a bit old and some are peeling off. Overall it was a good stay.

Booked a room online with little choice as it was rather short of time. Read some favorable reviews. Priority was to stay along Gaya Street. The hotel reminded me of budget hotels in earlier days which operated in shop lots. There was no lift. Check-in at first floor. Room was very basic but just fulfilled our needs for short stay. Located at the end of Gaya Street and was close to many banks and the Suria Shopping Mall.

Hotel is very old and not clean at all. We were supposed to stay 4 nights and had to change after the 1st night. Dust, damaged furniture, very old and not clean. For the same price, we found much better alternative and changed location for the remaining 3 nights.
