Obviously many changes have come, and are coming, but this is still a great place to visit. Still great breakfasts and meals, rooms and communal areas still very clean. Judit Parrer, the Manager, and her team are doing a great job keeping service levels high. Mabel's smile on the front desk makes everyone happy. Jose in the restaurant is still his cheerful self. ||The incoming Summum team are working to get ready for the rebuild project over the winter. Three generations of our family have come to this hotel - back from Bonaigua Hotel days, and Hotel Eetu, and now, as it becomes a Melia - we like the location, the hotel and also the people very much. ||Hopefully, we look forward to coming next year!

Most enjoyable week spent at Hotel Eetu. We were particularly impressed with several staff members, namely Judith and Mabel (management/reception) and Joreen and Alina in the restaurant. Each of these lovely ladies were extremely helpful, efficient and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and each always had a beaming smile!

All in all, an absolutely wonderful stay. The swimming pool was one of the best I have been to any any hotel, service 10/10 (special shout out to Jose who really made our stay perfect), great food and drinks and the room was great. We visited over Easter but we will definitely be returning to this hotel. A fantastic break on the Costa brava, thanks for a great time!

This is our third trip to this beautiful hotel and part of Spain, and we will definitely be back. The hotel is so clean and the owner Bernard couldn’t do enough to make your stay wonderful. The breakfasts in the morning are fantastic, made more enjoyable sitting under the Mulberry trees. The pool is so tranquil surrounded by lovely trees and gardens.|This year we had dinner three times in a week, the food is very good with a choice of three courses or tapas. All the staff deserve a mention and are so pleasant and helpful. Thank you so much Judit, May, Jose, Alina, Ana and all the housekeeping staff, the rooms are spotless!

We spent 4 nights here and enjoyed every day. The owner is very nice and approachable, he's excited to engage and talk about almost anything. The staff is excellent, a good mix of personalities and very attentive... they help keep the atmosphere relaxed and familiar at the same time. The breakfast was pretty well organized and the eggs are on demand... They have chickens out back...so... I think the eggs are fresh. The tapas menu covers the bases and works for lunch after a morning at the beach. The dinner menu is good and the quality / price for the area is not only competitive... But with some dishes a real winner. Full disclosure we didn't eat here for every meal. The pool is fantastic, just the right size to enjoy quietly or engage with others, really enjoy it. Last I guess is the room... The sea view delivered, but the one knock is no coffee maker... I'm sure I could have asked... But, I didn't bother as it's not a big deal overall. I'd recommend this spot for a quiet weekend or similar easy.

Set in the perfect location if you're looking to escape the crowds, this is a charming hotel and while the rooms are relatively basic, everything else is top notch. 5 mins walk from Platja Fonda, the staff are brilliant, the breakfast is excellent and the other meals we had were so good. Great pool area and so much to do around here without feeling like a complete tourist. Can't wait to come back!

A beautiful hotel with lovely staff. We were greeted at reception by a gentleman who may have been the owner. He was most helpful giving us maps of the area and recommending places to visit. The room was really nice with a large bathroom and covered balcony. There is a large garage for free parking for all guests. The pool area is first class although we didnt get much use of it because the weather wasn't the best the few days we visited. The breakfast was good. The lady working in the breakfast restaurant was really nice, very friendly, always helpful, unfortunately I didn't get her name. The only bad thing I can say is there is a number of dogs on the premises, one of which was extremely aggressive and went for me forcing me to run out onto the road.

Please allow me to spare you the terrible disappointment that this hotel will undoubtedly instill in you. This can ruin your trip, due to terrible customer service and entirely outdated and in terrible condition rooms and decor. I fell for the seemingly high star rating, promise of luxury, fantastic views, and desire for peace and quiet. I got none of it. We were just stopping for one night when making our way down the coast from visiting the Dali museum. We arrived late, at 8pm. It is now off season, so it was pretty empty, yet the price was way higher than anything else in the vicinity, I stupidly thought it meant this hotel offered better service. The man at the front desk checked us in while snootily boasting about their area and calling everything else in Costa Brava crap in comparison. This couldn't be further from the truth. We later went down to Tossa de Mar, which was way more beautiful and had more to do. This is near Begur, but it's not in the center, and it's a 5 minute walk to a tiny beach. There are no restaurants and nothing to do right near the hotel, if you want food or anything else, you'd have to drive into town. Though the hotel offers breakfast in the price, I would never eat here due to our experience with their "coffee". ||The decor of the hotel is gaudy early 90's meets 2000s edgy cool with zero style sensibility and understanding of what goes and what doesn't. They even threw in some shaker and Mediterranean furniture. The room had popcorn walls! The furniture was formica that was chipping in many places and oooold. The lighting in the room made it feel like a hospital or an insane asylum. The pillows felt like folded up clothing. They put us into the last corner room on the first floor by the road with early morning construction and a demolition of an old building next door. I paid for a sea view and got a glimpse of it through the tree. ||We missed breakfast in the morning by about 15 minutes. When we were checking out I asked the woman at the front desk if we could get some coffee. She told me we just missed breakfast but she went to the bar and asked the woman cleaning up to make us 2 espressos. I thought it was kind of her, until.... The espressos came out of an automatic McDonald's looking machine. They were pale with white "crema" on top, they tasted like water. I couldn't even drink it. I came back to the front desk to continue checking it at which point the woman said "so, you paid for the room, you just owe city tax and 2 espressos for $4 euros each". I said "excuse me? Did you just charge me for those 2 espressos that I thought were free?" She said "of course, you missed included breakfast, so I had to serve you and for that you have to pay." I said "usually coffee is included in every hotel, there was no coffee maker in the room, so shouldn't you give us some coffee on the house?" She said "that's not usual in Spain to give free coffee in the room." What?? At this point I got so angry, I couldn't believe this woman and her rudeness and audacity and lack of hospitality and customer service. We've been in multiple hotels on our trip in Spain and had a nespresso in every room we stayed, even a cheap hotel we stayed in had a coffee maker. But this "luxury" hotel couldn't even offer us free coffee. Not only that, but she didn't even warn us that the gross coffee she was about to make us would cost us 8 Euros! Not even a warning. We paid for the coffee and left, both with terrible feeling about the whole experience. This woman should never ever be in customer service. And this hotel needs a major decor and facility update.
