I am deeply disappointed with this hotel and its staff. I had a death in the family suddenly the day after I arrived, and when I came down in tears to check out early, hoping for some understanding or compassion, I was met with cold indifference. The staff refused to show any empathy, citing that “policy is policy” and charged me for the entire 7‑day stay despite only having spent one night.
I understand that policies exist, but life happens, and in moments like this a hotel should at least try to do the right thing. The staff here acted as if it were a burden to acknowledge my situation, making an already devastating moment even harder. Even the Ritz‑Carlton, which I’ve stayed at in the past, has shown far more grace and compassion in similar circumstances.
To make matters worse, the room was outdated, smelled terrible, and looked nothing like the website photos. The so‑called “deluxe” room was smaller and more run‑down than their standard rooms. The front desk staff were rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in hospitality.
If you’re looking for a hotel that treats its guests with kindness and respect, this is NOT it. Stay somewhere that understands that life happens and knows how to respond with basic human decency. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
