Hotel Eiger Mürren (Bern, Canton of Bern) 2 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"There’s plenty to say about the Hotel Eiger Mürrenitself, but perhaps the most remarkable thing about it is what’s outside the doors: its one-of-a-kind hometown. The Eiger is set in the tiny Bernese mountain village of Mürren, population 450. There isn’t even a road in. To get there, you take a funicular from one of the valleys below, or get off the train at the station across the street. Needless to say, you won’t be smelling a lot of tailpipe exhaust — just fresh Alpine air. As for traffic, the only sort you need to look out for will be gliding by on skis or a board. The ski trails pass right by the hotel." - Tablet Hotels

Absolutely wonderful experience! Our room was a superior suite and we had a stunning view of the mountains. The room was comfortable and clean. Champagne breakfast was excellent, service was stellar, and we enjoyed the bar service with Wiktor each evening. I would definitely stay again!

We had coffee, beer, wine, juice, desserts here in the afternoon out on their patio with the most impressive view. One staff who stood out and made the experience unforgettable was Sandra Steiner - she was accommodating, attentive, and genuinely sincere. The other staff on duty was less pleasant.

My family stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the hotel. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were not big, but they were cozy and comfortable. The best part was the balcony overlooking the incredible Swiss Alps! We got drinks at the bar and brought them up to our balcony and marveled at the view. We also got take away dinner one night and ate on our balcony. The restaurant in the hotel was also quite good! The location is so convenient for the BLM train station-directly across the street so we had a very short walk with our suitcases. Definitely recommend Eiger Guesthouse Hotel in beautiful Mürren!

This review is for the restaurant only since we didn't stay in the hotel: we celebrated the birthday of my husband in this restaurant and just couldn't be happier with our experience. Absolute top notch 5 star customer service of the restaurant staff, true fine dining. The food was delicious! Beautiful view. And we also appreciated that there were no flies inside the restaurant (unlike other eateries in the area where the flies attack you and your food when you try to eat). Highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible hotel - the highlight of my trip to Switzerland! I stayed in a single - mountain view room for 4 nights, and to start, the view from the rooms is jaw-dropping. The room was very comfortable, amazing bed/pillows, with a large balcony. The service at this hotel was also just fantastic. They were so accommodating to any requests I had, they had great advice on hiking trails and what was open, etc. (as it was shoulder season, beginning of June), and were just lovely start to finish, every employee I encountered. Loved the sauna, steam room and pool after long days hiking. Their restaurant was also excellent, ate there twice - recommend the duck dish! All in all, an extremely well run hotel in an unforgettable town in the Alps. I hope to return one day.

The location is nice, the view is breathtaking, the little spa is cozy. The rooms, however, are a little bit outdated and the gym is really minuscule. But what really stands out negatively is the attitude of the Portuguese lady at breakfast - flat out rude and lacking personal manners. Unacceptable at this price range and in a 4-star hotel.

The location is outstanding and the hotel itself excellent but what really makes this hotel truly exceptional is the staff! We were a family group with two boys aged 6&8 the staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. It is noticeable that many of the staff are long term employees, not necessarily local but clearly valued by the family who own the hotel, as a consequence standards are high. Will definitely return.

Wonderful. We stayed three nights; breakfast and dinner were fabulous. Location is incredible. Pool and sauna were just plain out of this world; we went to the pool every day. Even the bathrobes were terrific. Two thumbs way up.
