Eilean Iarmain Hotel

Even before we arrived the customer service on the phone from Matti and Colin was excellent. Our stay was from November 28-30 with our Husky. When we arrived much later than anticipated on the Friday evening due to terrible weather and an unexpected detour, Colin gave us a lovely warm welcome and an unexpected room upgrade! Both we and Saoirse our husky were treated like VIPs from that moment on. A welcome pack for our dog included a bed, a water dish, a ball and some treats. The Room was fabulous - comfortable and warm. Dinner both nights (in the bar so we could bring Saoirse) was exceptional as was the service. We had breakfast both mornings on our own in a beautiful lounge looking out over the water and, once again the food and the service was exceptional. This trip was planned as a birthday treat for my wife and to say the Hotel surpassed any and all expectations is an understatement. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top quality base to explore the Island of Skye. A magical Hotel on a magical Island. If we plan to return Hotel Eilean Iarmain will be the first place we try to book. Thank you.

Lovely hotel with wonderful staff! Everyone was warm and friendly. The food in the bar and the restaurant was excellent. We were fortunate to hear live Celtic music in the bar on Thursday night. A group of students from a nearby university just gathered around the table with their instruments and played and sang. It was delightful! The rooms had comfortable, big beds and the bathroom was very nice. Will definitely stay here on our next trip to Skye!

This is the second time staying here and more than worth the journey from our home in Cornwall! It is the most relaxing hotel within a stunning location! The staff are amazing ,the food delicious,the rooms peaceful clean and cosy if it snows! With wonderful views!

Wonderful location in Skye next to its own pier with gorgeous views towards Ornsay. We had a lovely dog friendly room which had ‘treats’ for our dog which made him happy! |We had breakfast in the dining room and our evening meal in the bar area, the food was good, the highlight being the locally caught seafood. We had great service by the friendly staff. |I hear the ownership changed recently - don’t change too much please!

The accommodations were lovely and the dinning was outstanding. The hotel is close to hiking trails and many of the rooms have beautiful views. We had excellent service overall. Matti went above and beyond excellent service and returned my favourite hiking socks, that I left behind, to me in Canada via the post! Thank-You!

Absolutely loved our stay here. The staff, especially Matti in reception, was so warm and friendly, and went above and beyond to make our visit a good one. The bar is cozy and is a gathering point for the village community. The rooms and common spaces are comfortable and full of character. And the setting is so lovely. We will be back to enjoy a whiskey by the fire!

The room exceeded my expectations for a three-star hotel. It was well equipped, with plenty of towels and high-quality toiletries. As a solo traveller, I found both the bed and the room size perfect. During my stay, the staff offered exceptional personal support in moments when I really needed it. When I first arrived, I urgently needed something from a pharmacy and there were no supermarkets nearby. The housekeeper kindly gave me what I needed. On another day, I became hungry during the time between the chefs’ shifts, so no food was available, but a staff member prepared something for me without even charging me. Since I wasn’t prepared for the cold weather, they gave me a hat and even offered me a warm jacket. I checked out on a weekend when no buses were running and taxis were very expensive, yet the receptionist generously offered to drive me to the ferry, which was about 20 minutes away, and this was early in the morning. Overall, the cosy atmosphere makes you feel at home: the interior, the fireplace, and the warm connection among everyone, especially when everyonw gather in the bar at night.

I recommend anyone looking for an absolute exquisite meal to try the ribeye. The meat couldn’t have been cooked at a more perfect medium-rare while having a beautiful charred exterior and retaining amazing flavors and I’m not buttering it up. My wife had the pork loin meal which was just as good. We had the Lobster as an appetizer which was also such a delicacy. 10/10 would recommend and will stop again when we come back😊
