Amazing location with fantastic views. Staff were very helpful and super friendly, we were very hot one night and they got a fan for the room. Food is the same between the bar and restaurant so decide if you want to be casual or formal. Really enjoyed their own distilled gin.

We were in the stable conversion with a lovely view out over the loch. Small lounge, kettle and bathroom downstairs, with the bedroom up a narrow nearly circular staircase. Dinner and breakfast were great.|Staff could do with more training in offering service. We asked for help taking our suitcases up to the bedroom and were told to park closer! A tiny lass was sent to help, as Colin a 6'6" highlander, was too busy chopping fruit. Funny. We did find a helpful, strong man in the end! |Dining room service is friendly but not polished. Room service was a bit dodgy. |Free parking was great. 10 mins drive to Broadford, which was the nearest town|| We enjoyed our stay.|

Comfortable hotel overall in a nice location. We did not like the way they do breakfast. It is not available between a certain window of hours - you have to pre-book a time. Although they normally start serving breakfast at 8, the earliest time they had available was 8:45 which we didn’t want to do as we wanted to leave the hotel at that time. They made us a packed lunch because we skipped breakfast which was very nice, but we weren’t crazy about it.

Loved this special old hotel and pub right on the water in Skye. Great locals bar with good food offering and light airy restaurant in the hotel itself with delicious traditional and seafood food choices and don’t miss the kippers for breakfast . Friendly welcoming building and staff - a real Scottish experience not to be missed ! Our room was in the adjoining garden building upstairs on the first floor landing with a view of the little harbour- delightful but beware the midges !

We spent two nights in this hotel as our base while traveling around the Isle of Skye. The setting is beautiful. It is right on the water. We visited an artist’s studio on the property. The bar was busy the night we arrived. Get there early for a table.|The room was TINY. The door frame to get into the room was TINY. I’m 6’02”. The innkeeper warned me to duck through the door. Unfortunately I am not in the habit of ducking through a door and I hit my head on the door frame twice during our stay. |As much as I enjoyed the beautiful setting, I would’ve chosen a different hotel had I known how small the room was going to be.

Clean bathroom, comfortable bed, however our 48 hour experience left us thinking we would not return and definitely not recommend. The first night our delayed ferry meant we arrived late. We were accommodated with some food in the bar. The head chef was delightful. Our second night we were advised the restaurant was full, even although we were residents and the hotel itself is located in a remote area. So again we ate in the bar. On the morning we were leaving at 10.30am, just as we were taking out our luggage, the receptionist called to advise we had to vacate the room at 10.30am. Overall the receptionist role as the hotel’s ’gatekeeper’ was not welcoming, brusque in manner and he was disingenuous. We stayed in 4 hotels in the Hebrides - this hotel fell well below the expected standard. Greater attention to sincere customer service is required.

Stayed in a small, but comfortable room on the second floor of the original building. It was clean, quaint, and charming. All members of the staff were gracious and welcoming, particularly the front desk at check in. Really enjoyed our one night stay in this hotel dating from 1888. Recommend !

What a charming location! We enjoyed everything about it! The view, the atmosphere, cleanliness, bar, dinner…. Just not enough to time to sit and enjoy more! Wish we had 1 more day!
