I didn't expect much as I switch my plans last minute and was left w/few hotel options, but I was still disappointed. The best thing about this hotel is the garden when you first enter and it is beautiful, but that is truly the last beautiful thing here. The hotel rooms are super outdated. I saw another review mentioning that they look like jail cells and I can confirm. A new layer of paint would do this place so great justice. The Wi-Fi was weak and not consistent. However, this hotel is central to a lot in walking distance such as restaurants and a grocery store. I think there has to be better options in Leon. This is not a 4 star hotel.

This is probably the best hotel in Leon. I stayed here 22 years ago and it has barely changed. The service is better than most places you’ll receive in Central America and it is very very clean and attention to detail is prioritized. They now do a breakfast buffet, which is very freshand tended to properly. I highly recommend that this hotel and their restaurant however it is a bit costly comparatively not the food mind you but to stay.

Stayed here for 3 nights. The staff was friendly and hotel is in excellent location. I had to move rooms after one night due to a broken toilet making a lot of noise. Original room was really worn and had a run down feel. Second room was a bit better. ||Both rooms had hot water and ok water pressure. Beds were comfortable, but pillows somewhat lumpy. ||WiFi was not strong enough for FaceTime or streaming and cell service not great in rooms due to thick walls. ||There is a fridge in room, but not plugged in and plug can’t reach outlets. No outlets next to bed. ||Two bottles of water provided. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion provided. ||Breakfast was ok. Rice and beans, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and fruit/yogurt. On third morning I heard them offer someone an omelet, but that was never offered to me. ||Overall, it was an ok stay.

Clean, modern, well appointed rooms in a beautiful drying. The staff were universally wonderful from the front desk to the restaurant to housekeeping and security. This place is so large that we didn't see it all and that's probably why we didn't find the pool that I read is located here somewhere. I appreciate that there are plenty of outlets to charge devices and that the light switches are ready to find and make sense.

Best service ever! My wife lost the wedding ring, but during the cleaning it was found by the stuff. Because we left already town, the ring was sent to our next hotel in Managua, where we happily could collect the ring. Thanks a lot for your honesty and effort!

STAFF WAS DISMISSIVE. I came to see the hotel and didn’t feel welcomed. Asked to see a room which I was shown one, the pool was not shown to me because apparently it was out of order with no set date to be fixed. The Garden is beautiful but two double beds per room makes the beautiful big rooms seem smaller. There were also no windows in the room I visited. The only plus is the medieval looking garden which you can enjoy by coming over for dinner.

I really enjoyed staying here. It's quiet, safe and the staff are kind. The price of the room is per person so I took the bigger executive room for myself as the smaller room would have cost the same. Breakfast is included and it's pretty decent. Decor is very antique, quirky and colorful. My room does have a window. Mattress is comfortable, bathroom is big but no bathtub, all very clean tidy and spacious. The shower water was a bit weak, and the aircon fan direction was hard to adjust so that was a bit annoying. The USB outlet on the desk was also not working. The pool *is* working. And the location of the hotel is excellent. Very walkable, you're basically a few blocks away from everything in Leon. There are pricier hotels that aren't as good as here. So overall I think staying here was a very good deal. They give you 2 free tickets to the art museum next door which is super cool and massive. If you're into art, it's worth a visit!

The hotel has an amazing garden and walking around you can see so much history. Unfortunately the lack of customer service from their security personnel took away my enjoyment. I was asked at least 5 times if I was a guest and which was my hotel room. 3 of those times by the same security guard. I understand that security is very important but they don’t let anyone in the building unless you are a guest so maybe have an access card reader in the front door rather than following your guest around to confirm that they have a room. My family wanted to pay for a day pass at the pool which is not available. Between the fact that my family could not come in even when they wanted to pay and the constant questioning from the guards, I preferred to spent my day outside in the heat instead of in the amazing hotel I had paid for.
