I stayed here several nights and have no complaints at all. The price is reasonable for Miraflores, the rooms were quite big enough for two people, the beds very comfortable, the bathroom clean, hot water for showers, and the breakfast was very adequate. We got to meet and chat with other visitors over breakfast which was nice. The wifi wasn't always very fast and you couldn't get it in the dining area, but it was quite adequate. The staff were great and very friendly. I would stay here again - in fact I did.

I came here for two nights before I went to Iquitos and then several days after I got back to Miraflores when I returned from Iquitos. They arranged all my transportation back and forth to the airport. The room I had before I went to Iquitos was small but the room I got when I came back was very nice. The breakfast is very good. They will cook food upon request all day long now. I have actually stayed in this hotel several times over the last 15-years. I have never had complaints. The people working in the hotel are very polite, respectful, and friendly. The location of the hotel is very nice. It is a couple blocks away from hills with a park overlooking the ocean. It is also very close to a lighthouse, hence the name. It is easy to walk from the hotel to stores and into the center of Miraflores.

Nothing to write home about but close to waterfront park and lighthouse. Great location, 2 blocks from a beautiful cliff top waterfront park. Great place to walk, and family friendly!! My second floor room was dated, but the price was right. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and that's what counts after a long travel day. Quiet location after about 7 pm. Secure parking inside the gated property for my rental car. I might stay there again. It was about a 40 minute drive to the airport.

After reading many negative reviews about this hotel, I was very pleasantly surprised. We checked in after a late night flight, staff were helpful and friendly. All spoke reasonable English. Only stairs, no lift but staff carry bags up for you. Room was small but clean and comfortable. It had bar fridge, TV and ensuite. Bathroom was compact but very clean with hot water. Breakfast was included - bread rolls with butter & jam, fried egg and juice/tea/coffee. Free wifi.

In one word-- location, location, location. This hotel is literally a few steps from the meandering parks that grace the edge of the Miraflores district overlooking the ocean. The hotel is within close proximity of the park housing the Lighthouse (El Faro) that sits like a prominent landmark for the residents that live in the towering condominiums, apartment complexes and traditional upper middle class homes that infuse the area with it's modern but quaint small city vibe. The hotel itself is clean but very dated and pricey by Lima hotel and AirBnB rates. So you are basically paying premium for location not for upgraded amenities. The rooms have no air conditioning, just a standing fan and open windows for ventilation. The wall mountain TV is very, very small by hotel standards, especially in this expensive price range. The bathrooms are clean but not luxurious and if you opt for the jacuzzi tub, chances are that it will not work, which basically means you opted for a large bathtub. This quaint little hotel pretends to be in league with the big 4-star hotel players but has a long way to go in that regard. The staff is young and beholden to management dictates that can sometimes not be in the best interest of hotel guests accustomed to a far more worldly or service-oriented experience. So if you are looking for location and willing to pay premium for it , while overlooking the hotel's lack of luxurious amenities, look no further. But if you are looking for a complete package of location, panoramic vistas and world-class standard lodging and amenities, you will definitely feel shortchanged. It is definitely a balancing act of travel priorities.

I reserved 3 nights via booking.com. The photos on the website looked acceptable and the description of the room and facilities sounded reasonable. For 70US a night we had some expectations from previous places we've stayed around Peru, however they definitely were not met! I felt the website and information provided in the booking confirmation email were misleading. There is no cable tv as promised and when I rang the front desk to tell them my concerns about this and the size of the room, no remedies were offered. The bed is only a double which truthfully is all the size of the room would allow. I did assume that the room would be bigger, as our confirmation email said that the room included a desk. There is most definitely no room for such a thing. The bathroom has a pokey door which when opened, is obstructed by the end of the bed. Also, the toilet was so close to the wall that when I sat down my knees were touching it. The bedding is crap and we had to sleep with the window open to get some airflow into the room. This meant listening to the noisy traffic and night life for the sake of a cool breeze. The room is old and I feel that it is over priced. No comfort here, you're only paying for the location. I'm sad to have written such a terrible review, and I would normally be more lenient and understanding of businesses but I feel like I have been deceived and this has made me angry. Not recommended.

I have stayed here many times as its 1 block away from my small apartment in Miraflores and I often send people/myself there when I have too many family members visit or passing thru. its a convenient "overflow" place for me.||||Over the years I have found this place to be declining... which is sad because it used to be excellent.||From absent minded staff to bad wifi service to uncomfrtable beds to no hot water....||||The food/prices are reasonable. The little restaurant is ok and the roof top lounge is quite wonderful and roomy.||||I have had both GREAT and TERRIBLE experiences here. ||I hope they improve their services soon or I will be forced to find a new "overflow" hotel when I have a full house (which is often)||The only reason I go back often is because of the incredible convenience. (I can see it from my kitchen window)

We stayed there as part of an Intrepid Travel Group trip. We expected basic accommodations, but there were other issues. First, the GOOD: is located in a decent area that is a short walking distance from waterfront and the parks near the ocean. The staff seems to try to accommodate the guests. For example, we were a bit late for breakfast the first day, but the employee still offered to make us some eggs and toast.||The BAD: Overall, the hotel including the rooms are outdated and dirty. The carpet was especially filthy in our room. Our room also had a strong musty smell. The beds were uncomfortable. The water was hot enough in the shower, but the shower head was broken and water sprayed out the side (all over). We reported the issue to the hotel staff, but it wasn't repaired right away. We taped the shower head with duct tape in the mean time to prevent it from flooding out the bathroom (no shower curtain either). The toilet did not flush properly- pushing the flush button did nothing. The toilet lid had to be removed and it had to be manually manipulated for it to flush. Guess it was a good thing I have some plumbing skills...| |We pre-paid for extra nights at the end of our trip through the travel company, but based on our experience we booked a room elsewhere. We are still waiting to see if we will receive a credit, but nevertheless we were not staying there another night.
