Really nice staff, clean place, clean rooms, clean bathrooms, central location. The WiFi didn't work that well, but overall the experience was good.

Very nice place to stay if you rather be next to the center of town. Location: Excellent, a block from main square. Staff: Helpful, polite. Cleanliness: Outstanding, my room felt as if it was brand new. The beds and sheets are excellent. Price: Good, not the priciest or cheaper. Worth the price I paid. Parking: Street, no facility parking. WiFi: Good speeds and always worked. Overall: I would always consider staying here in the future. This has to be the cleanest hotel I’ve encountered in Mexico, everything shines of cleanliness. The lobby has a fireplace that gives the place an excellent wood smell all around the lobby. I’m very happy I chose to stay here 🙌🏼

This is a small hotel very close to the main plaza. The rooms are clean and from the balcony one has a good view over the city. The hot water was ample and very hot. However, the room is cold, as there is no heat source anywhere in the hotel. And in the bathroom the window has open wooden slats for ventilation that cannot be closed. The covers are a bit thin, but the bed was very comfortable. ||Light sleepers might hear the church bells, as they also ring at least every hour all night long. So bring ear plugs and it won't be an issue.||The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to assist.

Pros: Beautiful & Clean with a remarkable view of the mountains. Nice staff. Free WiFi.||||Cons: No heat!! (Check average temperature for season before visiting.) No hot water!! Freezing tile floors. Balcony door that doesn't lock properly. Bed hard as a rock! Dog next door barks all night - egged on by the nearby church bells that ring every 15 minutes and again on the hour. Hotel is very difficult to locate. Staff doesn't speak any English.||||We had to check out after the first night.

We read about this hotel in Lonely Planet and were very pleased by what we found. Its a small hotel just two blocks off the town square and the rooms were spacious and clean, while the rates were more than reasonable. My husband and I chose a king size room with a balcony overlooking the town and the rate was 500 pesos per night (approx. $40 at the time). Our visit was off season so I'm not sure in high season what the rates would be, but I'm sure they would be more than reasonable.

The hotel is very clean, location is excellent (2 blocks from main square) and service is ok. It has a beautiful decor that surprised us positively. They offered us a better room at no cost at the check in, what caused us a great impression. The main problem was the quality of sleep: the church rigs its bell every hour or so, waking me up the whole night, the blanket was too small (my husband and I come from European families, so we’re tall and the blanket was not enough - and there was no heating) and other guests were ringing bells and talking loud the whole night. Besides, our room 34 didn’t have blackout curtains- or any real curtain in the glass door - so it was impossible to sleep. If you need a quiet place to rest, I recommend the cabañas far from downtown. If silence and darkness is not a must, this hotel is perfect. By the way, it would be nice if they offered a breakfast.

The only negative part would be that there is no phone in room. Clean, comfortable, love the balcony and view. Reception is nice, but have to ask, wont give extra info. Only receives you and provides key, your expected know where is wifi pass is or anything else. (wifi on TV controler) We reserved just for 1 night so we had the full day to go to the cabin. Perfect hotel for one night stay just in the middle of downtown. Nothing to do at the hotel or room but watch tv or go out on the balcony so its recommended just to sleep. 2nd lowest price hotel in Mazamitla, the 1st lowest was only $50 pesos less.
