We spent a week at this lovely small hotel. We had a beautiful large room with a sitting area outside leading to the lovely garden. The food in the hotel was excellent- we had wonderful breakfasts, enormous packed lunches and good menu choices for the evening meals. The staff were efficient and highly professional but additionally had a warm and caring approach to the customers. We were well looked after by a staff that genuinely seemed to care about us. This is a hotel to come back to again and again. ||The village itself, although small, has many amenities including shops, pharmacy, a spa, several bars and restaurants. We had a meal in a small restaurant, Drakar, in the village and again had superb food with excellent service. ||The surrounding area provides great opportunities for walking and biking with well signposted routes and lots of interesting wildlife.

Hotel is nice, but the restaurant hostess was really rude and dismissive. Said we didn’t have a reservation and took it upon herself to go to the front desk and question us a having one. Turns out- we did have a reservation and the whole attitude we received was so uncalled for. Felt so unwelcome and after a long week of traveling, you would think they would be more hospitable towards people. Edit: we did mention the group name we were with and pointed to it on the computer. Still no one believed us. The manager eventually helped us out and was the one to say yes we had a reservation.

We stayed for five nights at the end of Sept, early October.||||The hotel is hard to categorise in traditional 3/4/5 star rankings, but it is excellent.||||We have a large room on the first floor with a delightful small balcony with an amazing room. The facilities in the room were not "luxurious", but perfectly fine and we had a seating area, which was great.[I would have a better door to the en-suite bathroom!)||||The food was great. The evening meals were very, very good with large portions. the picnics that are supplied on request were great (salad, roll and even a pic-and-mix with nuts, dried fruit and chocolate buttons!) The breakfast is served as a mini-buffet to your table .. far too much, but plenty to eat even if slightly odd to get everything on your table!||||The staff were charming and helpful .. its not always clear what you can get (tea/drinks in the afternoon), but you just have to ask. And the room service lunch was very good too!||||There is a spa next door, we asked there and were allowed to use just the pool for a minimal charge.||||It's a little like a large B&B, but with great food .. we had half-board and would recommend that as you can just chill in the evenings and go down for a good meal.

All the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel feels like a second home, has great restaurant featuring local specialties, and an observatory on the roof (operated by an astronomer who comes by on clear evenings). Great place to be based during a hiking trip to Laguna Grande or just a nice relaxing holiday in the mountains. Wifi was stable but not super fast and the mobile data reception is very good.

We stayed for a week on a Headwater walking holiday and were disappointed with our standard room on arrival and so asked to be upgraded to one of the suites,(all of which are themed, ours was the Colonial). Marissa, the receptionist, showed us several suites, all are large and have access to outside, be it a ground floor patio or a balcony, with a sitting area and a large bathroom with separate shower. There is a small fridge in the room but no safe.||Breakfasts at this hotel quite took us by surprise, they are enormous, served buffet style to your table and just as you think, that’s it, more food arrives! Potential food waste was a concern for me, as I was just happy with fresh fruit and a slice of toast! The gourmet picnic which was provided on five days with our package was outstanding, lovely salads, a crusty sandwich, fruit and a beverage which could even be a small bottle of wine! We were certainly well fed here as the portions at dinner are huge but all very tasty, local dishes which were well presented.||What really impressed us at El Milano Real was the staff most especially the delightful Marissa who was always so cheerful and helpful, Olga, who initially gave us a briefing on the walks and came to chat with us daily and Francis, who definitely deserves the star waiter award! Danny, also a walker, who works on reception is a useful resource and like us relies on the meteoblue website for local weather conditions, which in this part of the world are very variable!||If the standard of the rooms and their facilities were improved slightly, I would rate this hotel as excellent.

Fantastic everything! We stayed for two nights and everything was just perfect. The atmosphere, food, service, views, facilities... everything was great! The service was magnificent, Cristina took good care of all our needs and made us feel at home. We will definitely come back!

High class rural hotel that brings the opportunity to visit the Gredo's sierra area. ||Nice restaurant with elaborated dished and good quantity. Excellent views of the sierra. ||||||If you want to complete the pack, a nice Spa (Aguas de Gredos) is 10 meters away.

I spent there one night and the experience was perfect. Their restaurant is so good, the y have different types of food but everything cooked with natural ingredients. The rooms are modern and the room service is really good. I strongly recommend it, and make sure you try their breakfast!
