Hotel El Palacil - Apartamentos Turísticos y Restaurante

We ate here twice on a recent ten day trip. The first night we dined in for 3 courses the second night we got a takeaway pizza and ate it in the peaceful church gardens up the hill. Everything we ate was top quality and the service was outstanding from the 2 young male waiters to the couple that own it, they treat all guests with amazing attention. This place is a must for any visit to Velez Blanco!

I been in here before and was amazing to eat in the restaurant with the lady owner, who was amazing to serve us. Note:: This time visit I sat on terrace and I was seen by young punk waiter who works in there he never never came to me to ask if I need I drink, etc!! when 7 Spaniards were been serve and well looked after. Not acceptable amigos. 🇨🇦👎🥱🙄🤬

Fantastic restaurant in a beautiful village, good prices & great food, attentive friendly staff, had a brilliant evening here, definitely recommended, didn't stay here so unable to comment on rooms, very busy restaurant though

Have enjoyed this restaurant prior to COVID, but now find it, pricey & rather, small portions, quality not consistent, and last time I went with family, who all said it was average & expensive for this part of Spain, staff though on a positive note were friendly, & service was fine.

We visited the area with friends, and found our way to El Palacil for lunch. We each ordered a main course, and our friend ordered a goat cheese salad as an extra. The portions of food were plentiful and very tasty. We opted for the lamb, which was amazing. Everything was fresh, with fabulous flavours. Service was great and the lady who served us asked if it was our first visit there (which it was) and she was patient while we practiced our Spanish. |Set in lovely surroundings with a beautiful view, we would definitely recommend.

My husband and I stayed in a one bedroomed apartment for two nights in September. Velez Blanco is a pretty town of narrow and steep streets and the hotel is down by the water spring. It is a simple, family hotel with a restaurant. The apartment was clean and comfortable with a small balcony and the breakfast was simple but fine - a plate of cheeses, ham and sausages with bread, jams and tea or coffee. We ate in the restaurant one evening. The food was good and the portions generous. The owners spoke little English but were friendly and helpful. This was a good and very reasonably priced base in the Sierra de Maria which has some lovely walking.

Absolutely perfect! Apartments fully equipped, comfortable and warm. Food excellent (wood fired pizza oven!) The owner Isabel really warm and friendly. Plan to return asap. 100% recommended.

Having visited El Palecil Restaurant many times over the past 7 years. We have always had a most enjoyable experience. From the friendly smile at the door, to the fabulous food, excellent wines and courteous service. Highly recommended. A lovely converted water mill in a breathtaking setting. We have also stayed in the apartments on occasion. They are most comfortable and a great base to explore the surrounding areas
