Hotel El Palmeral

Nicely positioned and in a quiet area of a Benidorm. Rooms very basic however, zero frills, no colour other than grey and mismatched old wood. No picture to add a splash of colour even. Old TV. No Fridge, No kettle (it did say that) No drinking glasses. Felt like I’d gone back to 1980. Really wouldn’t take more than a trip to IKEA to significantly improve the rooms.|Bathroom more modern.|Breakfast room was nice but staff were very poor. No Eggs at peak time for 20 minutes! You weren’t even allowed to eat on eat terrace, again very old fashioned attitude. |Reception staff were courteous but not warm or particularly friendly.|Such a missed opportunity, this hotel could be fabulous with some small changes!

All the staff are always helpful and very friendly. The swimming pool is sufficient with a very nice bar. The rooms are medium in size with a good air conditioning. But the lack of a minibar in the room is inconceivable in this climate. Whether it's for medication or a cool water at night, it would be very useful. We only had breakfast during our stay. All food and products available are very good and tasty. We also used the (paid) park for the car we booked. Nice. With the exception of the minibar, the hotel has all the amenities for a perfect stay. Ours was very, very pleasant. 🤗

Stayed here on a solo trip in their single room. ||The views from the room were incredible. Staff very helpful. Rooms spotless. Pool area nice. Approximate to the beach and centre very good also. ||Some downsides- Rooms are slightly tired and in need of an upgrade - especially in the bathroom. The hair dryer is one of those ancient plastic ones attached to the wall. ||Over all would totally recommend for the price!

I've stayed here with a friend, for a week each time, both in 2021 and 2022, end of September - begining of October. Nice rooms with very good cleaning service, nice balconies, 2 minutes to the beach, amazing food at the serving area downstairs! We had breakfast - lunch - dinner here each day (we chose that when booking), plenty of variety for all tastes. The people working here, locals, were pleasant, polite, joyful and welcoming. The small terace outside, next to the pool, under the palm trees, is quite a cosy spot.

Checked in as a couple in may for one week. Staff on reception was very helpful and friendly , also good English. Upon arrival we realised our room didn’t have a kitchen , kettle , fridge or tap facility's which was our fault as we didn’t check properly when booking online. Asked reception but no mini fridges was available to hire. Wasn’t a problem just meant not having cold drinks or making tea or coffee. Hotel room was basic but very clean , cleaner came in every day of our stay. Location was okay , but not our sort of thing as it was On the out skirts of Benidorm which meant a long walk in to the new town where the night life was or a cab which cost around €10 or a bus for €1.50 which meant timing the bus times. Very quiet location if that’s what you’re after. But on the plus side very close to the beach , could see from our balcony. We was on the 3rd floor out of 5 so if you don’t like high rises this could be the hotel for you. Didn’t use the restaurant but looked Spanish , a lot of fish we would smell every night. ||Overall I hasn’t no problems with the actual hotel we enjoyed our weeks stay. I would recommend this hotel for short stays and if you like the more quiet parts of Benidorm and also if you have dogs as it’s dog friendly although we didn’t see many during our stay. Also outdoor pool was a good size.||But overall a comfy stay with hotel el pameral

Good location, you can see and hear the sea from your room, you cand find free parking around the hotel, or you cand pay their parking and it ok also. They accept dogs. Clean bed linen and floors, but the bathroom wasn't so clean, so I needed to clean it myself. The breakfast was so poor that I only drink coffee. No oranges left for all the guests to do fresh juice. It's OK if you only need a room.

Very friendly greeting when we arrived at the hotel, which is set at the lovely Cala end of Pontiente which we love. We were taken to a functional rear facing room, which they said we couldn't change because they were full. The room smelled really bad upon arrival, dread to think what of, but it did go by the next morning. The room was very small, but clean and adequate. The bed was comfortable, and a big wardrobe and 2 drawers each. Bathroom was fine too.||During the first two nights it was really noisy during the night, with a few groups of men only groups (big darts comp. in Benidorm this weekend). Knocking on doors and arriving home in the mornings, loudly! But obviously it wasn't the hotels fault they were noisy and it doesn't strike me as that sort of hotel generally. ||The food in the small restaurant was fine, not a lot of choice, but the food was nice, and the staff very friendly. ||Strange reception area, as no seating area with a bar. The bar is by the pool, but in the restaurant. The few tables in reception are nowhere near the bar, so at night no where to sit for a drink. As the evenings were wet, windy and cold a bar area to relax at would be nice.||All in all adequate hotel, nice staff.
