Fabulous hotel, historic building. Spotless rooms with gorgeous historic detail. Quiet and beautiful. Breakfast was wonderful. Super nice staff, advised us to go to the tourist office for the city tour they do twice a day. That tour is extremely worthwhile, just excellent, A must to do in the city. You will be taken to all the secret hidden gems of the city. Best tour I have ever had in this fabulous town of the birthplace of King Fernando of Aragon.

This was a lovely hotel, its decoration, its history. The comfort, and Im difficult to please, was wonderful, great spacious and hot shower, good towels. Beds were changed daily too And then sos del rey catolico was the best little village. Saw wonderful places around. A really lovely couple of days, could have spent a couple more. Top marks for the owners|

We were at first shown to a basic room which looked into the very tiny courtyard - so no view and no light. But the lady at reception was only too happy to give us the choice of another room which had a fantastic view and was larger and more beautiful. But the hotel is exceptional in its decor and ambience. The age of the original building seeps through the sympathetic restoration and renovation works which have been done to provide all modern conveniences, without taking away from the original charm. The town itself is amazing, but did feel a bit like a museum. We were unfortunate to be there when most historic attractions were closed, so didn't get to see inside the main buildings. We had difficulty in finding a restaurant which was open and serving typical food. And we didn't see many people so it didn't feel like a real town where people live and thrive: this may be because it was quite hot and the houses probably accommodated hidden courtyards where families could relax in relative cool. But it is well worth a visit and the views are incredible. The location is so high and isolated and the town full of tiny narrow streets and alleyways. Definitely an experience to be had and the hotel itself is the one to choose should you do so.

Wonderful and cosy hotel in the oldtown of Sos del Rey Catolico. Great ambiance, good and clean rooms. The old city views and charmes are the highlight of our staying. The helpfull staff, good breakfast made our stay very pleasant. Parking can be difficult. We are coming back again next year.

Booked a one night stay here for my wife and I during a road trip through the Pyrenees. This boutique style hotel has been very tastefully modernised and is clean and tidy throughout. The bed was comfortable and the modern en-suite bathroom worked well. There was a good Wi-Fi signal too. My only criticism would be that the air con unit in the room was really quite noisy but that being said, it worked well and was absolutely necessary as the temperature outside was 40 Deg C! The location of the hotel means that you have to park close by and walk a short distance to the hotel which is in the pedestrianised part of the medieval town. Friendly proprietors and good healthy breakfast means I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for an overnight stay.

We stayed in the two-level suite. This was a wonderful experience. A beautifully renovated medieval building. Attentive service. Perfect location. And perhaps most outstanding was the kindness of the owner and her son.|There is certainly no better place to stay in Sos.

Gorgeously modernized hotel inside an ancient structure. Very clean and comfortable. One of the other reviewers mentioned noisy a/c but we did not find it loud at all. We asked for a triple, but the room was a bit tight. Most likely a double with an added bed. Still the hotel was lovely. Don't miss the church and the extremely well preserved medieval (from 12th c) painted stucco crypt.

Best of both worlds! This tastefully redone property retains Sos del Rey Católico's classic medieval character, yet amenity-wise is fully modern and looked brand new as of Sept 2019.||||We decided to spend the night in Sos del Rey Católico to break up the drive between San Sebastian and Barcelona. If you are looking for a place to stay in Sos del Rey Católico, I highly recommend this property. ||||Also just a head's up, we had a fantastic dinner at La Cocina del Principal. This is not a busy restaurant as nothing in this little, sleepy town is busy. But, everything my wife and I ordered was exquisitely prepared and made of super fresh ingredients by the Michelin schooled owner/chef.||||Staff was somewhat standoffish. But this is understandable as they don't host many guests and hence interactions are few. ||||Keep in mind this is a small property in the very small town of Sos del Rey Católico which off the path for most.

Yelp
We spent two nights here in May 2016. We were walking the GR1 and showed up dirty and tired. The staff we consistently friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, reasonable size and nice bathroom (great shower). The room only had one tiny window and that opened on a street that dead ended at a town gate - a bit noisy and no view. Location was at end of medieval city center but town is so small that hardly matters. Breakfast was okay and you could choose what you wanted from a buffet set up - there was fruit as well as the usual range of just okay pastries and cured ham. Hard boiled eggs would have been nice. No bar or dinner available. Overall we liked the hotel and would stay again but also explore other options. €80, double room, included breakfast
