We stayed one night before flying to Guatemala. Appreciated the English speaking staff at the front desk that arranged an early morning taxi for us. Room was spacious and clean. We walked down to the waterfront and took advantage of the many restaurant options.

This hotel is a joke. Two stars because the guys at the reception were really kind. Everything is ugly which is not the problem but everything is dirty too. On my pillow were hairs and we were afraid to sleep under the dirty blanket which had bloody-looking stains on it. During the night, the whole bed sheets got loose and all crumbled up in the middle of the bed because they are so cheap and badly arranged. Oh and also the breakfast is disgusting, my boyfriend ended up with diarrhea.

Pleasant hotel located in the quieter part of not really appealing town. Very nice courtyard||The room that we had was not the one I seemed to have booked but it was clean and had a good wifi and aircon. There was quite a lot of noise coming from the generator that was located just outside of our window which made you feel as if someone was trying to load a truck and left the engine on. I was quite surprised to see the lack of basic toiletries in the bathroom given the 4-star status as we got this in other places in Guatemala of lower rating. Maybe it was forgotten by the cleaning staff ...||Very good breakfast included in the price. There is also a restaurant with a good selection of various dishes for your evening meal. The serving staff was excellent and attentive, made me feel like at home. Staff at reception were great too and helped to locate a very friendly lady who was able to speak English when we struggled with our Spanish.

This hotel is clean and the staff are reasonably friendly that is about the only good thing I can say about this hotel. The beds are small and uncomfortable and they do not have hot water.. The Wifi is miserable and is not good enough to even use in the room in fact it is so poor that we had to go out onto the patio for it to even work. The patio is sweltering hot and the air conditioning could barely keep the room cool. I asked for help with the Wi-Fi and the owner told me she would take care of it but did nothing. Overall I was completely disappointed with my stay.I could and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Try somewhere else you'll be disappointed here.

Sure, this isn't the fanciest hotel and it's not a continental breakfast, but the bed was comfortable, strong AC, internet worked, and they even drove me to the bus stop for free. Definitely a good place to spend a night before/after crossing the border.

My friend and I spend a night there because we had no other option (we missed the last boat for livingston) so we booked the best room at this hotel, which is a double bed room with a bathroom, tv and A/C. We arrive there, they charge us 300 quetzales (60$). When I called earlier to reserve, they said it was only 210Q (40$). So the room is a 3 meters by 3 meters room. They tried to fit 2 single beds in it, and they put a fan on the table (what they call a/c...). The shower is full of hair and soap, same for the sink. The food at the restaurant is the same as the room, gross and expensive. I dont recommand this place.

This hotel is a clean and safe hotel with an open air courtyard and good restaurant on the premises. The service was always helpful and accommodating. While Puerto Barrios is not a very tourist friendly location, the Hotel is in an area that is quiet and relatively safe.
