This was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The villa was immaculate clean including the bathroom. We were in room 12 and had an amazing view of the volcano one morning when the clouds lifted. The hot springs were lovely, and it was such a treat being able to get cocktails there. Our kids (8 and 6yo) loved the pool too, which we mostly had to ourselves. The farm was fantastic; they had the chance to hand milk a cow, collect the hens eggs (recommend to wear closed shoes!) and ride the horse. The staff were very friendly and helpful. |Our only 2 minor points for improvement: 1. Our bar bills were mixed up 2 out of 3 days at the hot springs, which caused an issue at check out (we corrected the bill at the bar, but they tried to double charge us at check out so check that it adds up. 2. Although there was a clothes line in the shower which was fab for swimwear and handwashing, there were no hooks for wet towels and coats. Thank you for a great experience, I wish we could have stayed longer!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel El Silence Del Campo while visiting La Fortuna with our two children. I never leave reviews but needed to share how lovely every aspect of our stay was. The grounds are beautiful and there is so much wildlife to see. We especially enjoyed all of the peacocks and kurrasaw that would wander around in the morning. The amenities were very nice and we found them family friendly. There’s a small playground and a farm where kids can milk a cow, horseback ride, collect eggs from the chickens and walk around to explore a bit. The included breakfast had many nice options. What we enjoyed most were the hot springs; they were never too crowded and there were many pools to choose from. The staff was helpful and kind and we found the location very accessible to everything that we wanted to do in the area. Highly recommend for a trip with kids (it looked like it would be very nice for a romantic getaway too :))

We had the best time at this beautiful hotel! Great amenities and beautiful hot springs! Perfect location with an amazing view of Arenal. Elio was so welcoming and friendly. The farm added such a quaint touch and was perfect for a family who enjoy seeing animals. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were really nice and roomy. (The only tip I have is to add hooks for towels and raincoats) We highly recommend going to El Silencio del Campo!!

We stayed at El Silencio de Campo for 4 nights and it was perfection! The location was perfect as it was completely private yet close to town. We traveled with our 16 and 21 year old boys who enjoyed going into town for dinner. The grounds of El Silencio are stunning! You feel like you are in lush rain forest gardens. There are animals walking around like peacocks, chickens, a small mini horse and a resort pig named Bella. Again, the grounds crew keeps everything super clean! The concierge here are incredible! They were incredibly personable, kind, happy and helpful! They set up our tours and adventures and gave us a ton of recommendations. Another perk was the hot springs here. WOW! Beautiful and so relaxing! They have 4 pools with a snack shack and bar. Other hotels allow outsiders to pay to come to their hot springs but not El Silencio. This is so good as it’s peaceful and only for the private patrons. All cottages are separate and beautiful. Very quiet and comfortable. The breakfast that’s included is delicious with tons of options and the restaurant and snack shack had delicious food and cocktails. I would stay here again and would recommend it to everyone! Pura Vida!

This hotel is so beautiful with all the animals and wildlife throughout the grounds of the hotel. The breakfast (included) was so wonderful -fresh fruit, a plate of your choosing, and fruit drinks and coffee. The hot springs were so comforting and hot! The people at the front desk really make you feel welcomed and help you book tours. Love this place and will be planning to go back.

Loved this place. The accommodations were very nice and clean. Very comfortable. Food was good and enjoyed the free breakfast, Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hot springs were great and the bar was nearby. Location was near our excursions and near the downtown where we ate a couple nights. Highly recommend this hotel

What an amazing stay! From the moment we arrived, we were in love. Elio greeted us and got us checked in. He was an absolute gem and a great asset to this property. The rooms were very nice. They were well-spaced so they felt very private and quiet. The included breakfast was tasty and had many options to choose from. The on-site restaurant, hot springs, and pool were all super nice amenities. We love how well taken care of the grounds were and just enjoyed walking around taking in the scenery. We are pretty well traveled and this hotel definitely has a spot on our "favorites" list :)

We stayed at four hotels in Costa Rica and visited four different hot spring through various hotels and tour combinations - we felt El Silencio’s were the best. Food prices were reasonable and free breakfast was excellent. Nice, mediums sized property covered in birds of all types. My elementary aged children were particularly enamored with the farm. Collecting eggs every morning was a must for them as well as a short horse back ride. All around wonderful stay. Only complaint was the air conditioner was on the loud side and was a bit distracting at night if you a light sleeper.
